Fish

It is a little whole in the wall restaurant, nothing fancy. Fish was delicious, service was good. We also had chicken caldo but were disappointed that it didn't have corn in it. Loved the salsa they serve w the chips.

Amazing! Los Corrales is a hidden gem with a killer chicken dinner. Tacos are always on our mind, my asada was seasoned to perfection. His carnitas were nice and crunchy and flavorful. We were absolutely blown away by the chicken. It is seasoned perfectly. It was so tender, I could pull it apart. We even debated on grabbing a couple dinners to go! Los Corrales is tucked away on Junction. Make your way over to this amazing little spot for some of the best chicken and tacos you have ever had!

Authentic Mexican Food!!! We found this hidden gem in Southwest Detroit . My family ordered the steak tacos and I had the steak quesadilla. These are the best taco in Detroit! Hands down ! You won't be disappointed !

Such a solid spot for very tasty fare. After your seated, your table promptly gets served a tray of hot chips, three different salsas, limes and radishes. It's a strong, very delicious start! My go-to order is a few tacos, the pazole, and a side of guac. I am definitely a sharer when it comes to eating (see also: mooch), and everything I've tried has been quite good. Bonus points because they seem to have the longest hours around. If it's late and you need a quick bite, this should absolutely be your place.

Diamond in the Rough! Unbelievable taste, the Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and the Pollo Al Carbon was the best Mexican food Ive tasted in quite some time. If your in Detroit, swing by, ask for a double shot of Don Julio 70. And then prepare yourself for some of the best food you've ever eaten. Make sure you finish off with Pastel de tres Leche and a cup of Cafe de Olla. You will not be disappointed!

Ceviche rice beans and camarones. And of course they had homemade tortillas.

This is a great spot. Good food great prices. you can't beat it. Not only did I get ceviche and some arroz and camarones but it was so good. If you don't like flies. This ain't ya restaurant homie.

Worse Margaritas

This is by far the absolute worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. We wanted to try a new place out in Southwest what a mistake. Cold grease chips and some type of salsa that should never be consumed. We also order to margaritas one frozen. The drinks arrived and we actually thought one was a Pina Colada . I took a sip of my drink and it was straight margarita syrup with ice. We asked the staff to make sure and everyone gave us blank looks. Terrible service if you want real Mexican food drive pass fast because this isn't it!!!

The service was slow and the food was subpar. Definitely one of the worst Mexican spots I've ever been too.

Amazing Mexico City inspired restaurant in the heart of Midtown Detroit!…read more Drinks: - Hibiscus Agua Fresca - Watermelon w/ Chia Agua Fresca Food we ordered: - Guacamole with Totopos - Tuna Tostada - Coliflor - Asada Del Día - Coconut Tres Leches Standouts included the tuna tostada, with tuna chunks that melted in your mouth and a slight spicy kick. The Asada Del Día was absolutely amazing. Medium rare ribeye paired with a leek sauce, bone marrow and freshly made tortillas. For someone who isn't the biggest coconut fan, the tres leches was delicious, creamy and the perfect way to finish dinner. Staff was amazing and ambience was great. Will be back!

Make sure you make reservations, you're gonna need them. The vibes inside are beautiful, it's dark with some great earthy decor as their ambience. They have a gorgeous bar that you can glance at, and get very excited because their drinks are divine. The weight staff is super friendly, very efficient and very attentive. We started with the Agua Chile - kind of a funner take on your standard ceviche with some gorgeous shrimp and that sauce is drinkable. Esquites were extra fun with asparagus and corn, so it gave some extra dimension to the vegetable bites and different textures as we kind of bid into it and as you can see in the picture just covered in cheese extremely good. I have to say the Tetela was one of my favorite bites, just the attention to detail on the brazing of the carrot with the lovely tortilla/masa combination, truly worth it. We also got the fish with the two different salsas and that was such a divine bite and it made it more exciting that you were essentially getting a two and one. The fish was extremely flaky, but with a stunning grilled to it. Overall amazing. The deserts were both delicious but I would go back for the Pan De Elote everytime... I mean this is how corn should be spotlighted and celebrated. It was a gorgeous meal, with flavors that make my tastebuds dance with every bite. Vecino is here to stay!

You order at the food truck, and they have an indoor seating area with tables if you want to eat on-site. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The food here is amazing. The birria tacos were packed with flavor, and at $2.50 each, they're an unbeatable deal. But the real star for me was the burrito--this thing had to weigh at least a pound! It wasn't just massive; it was packed with huge flavor. I went with al pastor for my protein, and it was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The salsas are also delicious which is always a plus. I hope more people discover this gem because the food truly speaks for itself.
