We all came here on a Friday night for the first time after visiting the DIA museum. Parking on the street was easy to find. It wasn't very crowded so it didn't take long for us to be seated. The music and vibrant decor really set the vibe. It was giving Hispanic culture, and we enjoyed it. There was a dj and even a small area for dancing! Once seated, our waitress was great with taking our orders and prompt with bringing out our food soon as it was ready. For appetizers we had the chip & dip trio and the ceviche. Both were good, but nothing to go crazy over. The margarita was strong in sprit, the way I like. For entrees we got chicken tamales, steak tacos, and chicken enchiladas. The tamales were decent. The enchiladas had unseasoned chicken on the inside so that was a major disappointment. I was going to order churros for dessert but I got full faster than thought. But its okay, because I think I enjoyed the ambiance more than the food to be honest

Scrumptiousness in each bite! Nice staff and expedient service. I was pleased my first visit.

The ambiance was really nice and decorative. The waitress was attentive and the food came out fairly quickly. I started with the Chips Trio. It came with queso, guacamole and salsa. The guac and queso were really good and fresh. I did not care for the salsa. Then I had the Ceviche. It was good. It had green grapes in it, which was a first but it wasn't bad. For my entree I got the Enchiladas Suizas. The sides were the standout. It came with beans and rice which was really good. They had the option to get just cheese or chicken. I chose the chicken and it was a poor choice. The chicken was unseasoned. It looked and tasted as if it was just boiled. I was not a fan. It did not help that my party had the tamales with chicken and theirs was extremely well seasoned. Another person in my party had the Ribeye Tacos and those were well seasoned too. So a decent experience overall.

What's not to love about Mezcal? Friendly and fast service, zippy cocktails, delicious food, and fun laidback atmosphere. Our waiter was very nice and checked in on us several times throughout our meal. As we were ordering, he input our order on his device and our Chips Trio came immediately! The guac was okay, but the queso really stole the show. I got the Ella Baila Solo, and the smokiness of the mezcal really showed through, while still balancing the other flavors of the cocktail. I was eating light that night, so I got the Mezcal Soup as my main. The chicken in it was a little dry but nicely shredded and the broth was super tasty. The menu was huge, so we're looking forward to coming back and trying something new!

We had the family dinner style where they bring out food to us. Chips and salsa were offered first, then beef tacos, followed by chicken tacos and pork tacos. We were very full by the time pork tacos came out and there were veggie tacos after which I could not eat anymore. All the tacos were delicious. Service was a bit slow maybe because we were such a large group. I will have to see this on another occasion. There also were desserts. Churros with vanilla icecream were very delicious! Everyone agreed churros were really tasty. Warm on the inside and crispy on the outside.

First, the food is super tasty and they have tamales which is not easy to find. Second, what a FUN place to go! They have dance classes, and it seemed to be free. It was lively, nice couples or singles just stop in to learn various Salsa dancing, etc! Tip: Make reservations if you are going on a weekend. Our wait was about 45 minutes, but it was a Friday night. We almost left but I am so glad we didn't. Everyone seemed to love their drinks, I had a delicious non/alcoholic Strawberry Margarita! The chips were homemade and the salsa was really good. The ambience was so fun, but you could enjoy a nice dinner with friends and still hear each other speak. I can't wait to go back with friends. We parked right in front of the Restaraunt, so very convenient. It was a fin time in the D!

New midtown Mexican restaurant ! It is pretty authentic, price is a little high but u are in midtown so expected. -margaritas where strong -ambiance on a Saturday was fun! Live music (unsure if this happens every Saturday) -plates where smaller portions but good -did not see quesadillas on the menu (but I'm pretty sure they can make some ) -service was nice and helpful -chips and salsa are extra

We stopped in to try Mezcal a new neighborhood spot. As another reviewer mentioned, it was very expensive for mediocre food. The ceviche was heavy heavy lime and cilantro. It was missing so much. The flavor was flat and bitter despite the amount of lime. The texture of the fish was great. The tacos were alright. Everything we ate just felt like it was missing depth of flavor. The service was good however, we asked for more chips for the ceviche, and they never came. The ambiance was fine, but we both thought the music was too loud. 2 drinks, ceviche, and 6 tacos = $80 It's just too much for what we got.

Excellent food and service here! We were seated and waited on promptly, even on a Saturday night. The birria tacos were perfect, with a rich flavorful broth to dip them in. I absolutely loved the Al Pastor taco with tender pork, pineapple, onions and cilantro. Probably one of my top favorite tacos now! All the food was flavorful, fresh, and nicely presented. The delicious margarita I had was almost too pretty to drink (but I did, haha) The drinks are excellent but pricey. I would have trimmed $30 off my bill without the two margaritas, and that's probably what I'll do the next time. As good as they were, I'd rather save the money. Nice atmosphere, with a cozy feel. Our server was excellent, and you can pay your check online, which I love because it speeds up the process. I'll be back :)

The restaurant has a modern Mexican vibe. Food great and the service is excellent. When they first opened the service time was very slow but I'm glad I did not experience that the second time around. The nachos are a must try!

Steak taco on the left, Al Pastor taco on the right. Ok at best.

Cool place inside and out. More of a cool bar than an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Food was okay at best. Salsa was not that delicious. Service was average, door greeters were friendly.

The food was absolutely amazing--I'm talking next-level tacos and nachos that you just can't miss. The service? Top-notch! Our server was super friendly and everything came out lightning fast. The ambiance is just perfect, especially if you're celebrating something special. I had my birthday bash here with my friends, and it was beyond pleasant. To top it all off, they surprised me with a slice of tres leches cake that was to die for! Highly recommend this spot for any celebration, or even just a casual dine-out or takeout for Taco Tuesday night!

Here is the lay of the land: Check in at the little red table in the center of the outdoor courtyard if you want "full service". - which means eating and drinking at a table with wait staff. It is not seat yourself at the outdoor tables, like we originally thought. There is a nice sized bar indoors and seating at the bar is first come first served. We ordered several of the small plate "snacks" and I can tell you that the hummus is not to be missed. It is served with (homemade?) tortilla chips that are absolutely addictive. They have lots of choices for wine, beer, and cocktails. Towards the back entrance of the property, there is a drink truck where you can also order "walkaway" food and drinks. Not entirely sure where you sit with the food/drinks you order, as most of the seating seemed reserved for full service. Additionally, there is a photo booth for pics (long line) and Warda Patisserie is right next door and accessible through a garden walkway.

The inside restaurant area is also beautiful. We wanted to sit inside at the bar, so we waited for some seats to open up. If you want to sit outside, all you have to do is order at the bar and they'll serve your drinks in plastic cups for you to take outside. The rhubarb pie punch was so delicious I had to order it twice! Probably one of my favorite cocktails I've ever had. I also ordered the maurixio cattelan, which tasted like ginger ale. For a snack before dinner, we chose to get the burrata and it was so refreshing. The service was great and our bartender was super friendly! The logo with the little lamb is adorable. I bought one of their wine glasses with their logo on it too for just $10.

I was very pleasantly surprised! The space is beautiful, classy, and airy. We sat at the bar and had a nice chat -- the music was at a good volume. I only ordered wine -- their wine list is alright. Not bad for a bar that's clearly not wine-focused. My wife and a friend had cocktails and they both were good, particularly their espresso martini. For food, we shared patatas bravas, tortilla española, and croquetas de jamon, and they were all delicious. I'd legit come back for a full dinner. My only reason to not give this 5 stars is the drink service was very slow, even though the place wasn't busy. The two bartenders seemed friendly enough but weren't communicating very well, and kept forgetting to take and/or bring our orders. We also asked for the check and they kept forgetting to bring it until we asked again. Overall, it was a positive experience and a nice surprise, but I hope the odd bar service was just a one-off blip.

They could have been upfront about this, but our waiter didn't tell us until after bringing us drinks, letting us see the menus, and after he started to take our orders. We essentially had to ask---what *do* you have? One pet peeve of mine is that they give everyone low ball glasses for water with no ice and a single, narrow carafe of water for the entire table. We had to continuously ask for more water. I tried the espresso no-tini ($11), a mocktail. It was good, but came in cordial glass and was essentially just a shot of chilled espresso. The setas ($14) were listed as a local wild mushroom blend with garlic and lemon. It was probably about a half cup of mushrooms, grilled, and served in a saucer. Finally, the charcuterie y queso ($21) was meat, cheese, sourdough, mustard, pickles, and honey. Everything was very salty and with no variation. It needed balance with a soft cheese, spice, or more sweetness. My charcuterie plate didn't come out until about an hour plus after we ordered, after multiple asks. It's hard to justify the delay when it's just hard cheese and meat, they didn't have to cook, and there were few other customers. (Essentially, we forgot). I still had a wonderful time with my friends in a beautiful space, but I wouldn't come here to eat again. The menu is elaboratey described dishes that come in very small portions and with ingredients that don't live up to the names.
