    Homemade flour tortillas

While visiting from California, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Los Cucos Mexican Cafe, and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. The homemade tortillas were a standout--warm, soft, and truly some of the best we've ever had. We enjoyed several dishes, including Mexi bowl with perfectly seasoned grilled chicken, flavorful rice and beans, and an incredible platter with steak, bacon wrapped shrimp, ribs and chicken that was cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious! The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked through the door. If you're looking for great Tex-Mex food, outstanding service, and amazing homemade tortillas, Los Cucos Mexican Cafe is definitely worth a visit. We're happy we found this place while visiting Texas and will be back the next time we're in town! Highly recommend!

Pretty solid Tex Mex. Started with the chips and queso which I thought their queso was just alright, a little too artificial tasting. The enchiladas here though were so good. Got the enchiladas verdes which had chicken inside and mmmmm that green sauce is divine. The beans were super super good too I love when the beans are THIS dark in color. Also got a frozen blackberry margarita and this might be one of my favorite margaritas ive ever had. I wish the blackberry was more mixed in and not a liquid poured over a standard frozen marg but it still tasted sooooo good so I won't complain.

I'm no stranger to this place but it's my first time to this location. A friend and i stopped in for an early dinner. From the refreshing grand anejo margarita to the delicious chicken taquitos and standout salsa, plus the comfortable seating and convenient parking, this dinner experience checked all the boxes. Puebla my waitress was so sweet and attentive.

We were blown away.. im bringing my whole family back.. today i just stopped in with my eldest daughter and we loved the food. i have a feeling we will be coming here more often. lol

El Sombrosa. One of my favorite meals that leaves me with enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

This place is huge and can hold a lot of people, but I appreciate that they're not trying to cram as much people in as possible. There is ample spacing between tables and walk ways. Although it was busy, we did not wait long at all. Even the food that we ordered came out pretty quickly! We ordered the chicken fajitas for two and regular size queso. The chicken fajitas for two was enough to feed my husband, me, and our two little boys. The tortillas were sooo good! The queso was decent. It's pretty expensive for the portion that you get. I thought the fajitas were alright as well. It was good, but I still wanted to dip it into something. I believe that a good fajita doesn't require any extra sauce. haha We also got the sopapillas for dessert and it was alright as well. Overall, I would rate the food as a 3.5 or 4 out of 5. However, the main reason why I gave a 5 star is because we had an AMAZING waitress. Her name is Sarah and LET - ME - TELL - YOU -ABOUT - HER. Sarah was literally smiling and cheery the ENTIRE time. She was not only like that when she was serving us, but she was even walking around like that. She was polite, friendly, patient, respectful, and just a delight to interact with. She was on top of things, too! We never had to ask her to refill anything because she automatically did it. I also love how she placed our dishes on the table. It was symmetrical and esthetic. The restaurant was also super loud but once when she was walking away and I called out her name, SHE HEARD ME. She was very attentive. Seriously, she was awesome. Come to Gringo's, not for the food, but for Sarah! lol

His service was timely, and his friendliness was wonderful. We have the fajitas which were not only an apple serving, but the beef chicken and shrimp were all very flavorful. Typical to fajitas it came with enough accompaniments to really really make Forray a wonderful meal. The serving is so ample that it became a takeout meal as well. The ambience is typical of Mexican restaurants. However, the people who we were dining with in the same small dining room were incredibly friendly and old-time customers of the Restaurant. I can't tell you how many years. But given the food and service, I understand why. I'm guessing because it was Cinco de Mayo. There was also a mariachi band and they were just wonderful and added to the venue considerably. If you're in or around Katie Texas, you really do need to stop here.

The beef fajitas were flavorful just as I'd hoped but the chicken was a bit dry. With the order we each get our own plate of rice and beans and choice of tortillas. The flour tortillas were delicious, almost like home made, so much so that I took the leftovers tortillas home to enjoy with butter. The highlight for me was the Skinny Margarita with my customization of adding a shot of Amaretto. I've been disappointed at other places because they never taste fresh, or have an extremely tart flavor, but the bartender had it down to a science because when I tell you from my first sip it was like heaven! In addition to the above facts, my toddler ate a bit off my plate Saturday/Sunday and exhibited symptoms similar to mine. On Monday, June 30th at 9:04am, I called to share my experience with the staff. To be clear, my intention in calling was not to leave a negative review, but simply to bring the matter to the restaurant's attention - privately. Unfortunately, the owner, Albert, was defensive throughout the call. He said things like, "I don't doubt that happened, but we've never had a complaint," and dismissed my experience rather than showing concern. I explained I wasn't calling to leave a bad review but to make them aware. But alas, here we are.
