My family and I tried this place a year ago when we first moved to Los Banos. It was after a long day of hauling out stuff to our new home that we came and had Dinner here. We had a great time talking about the difference in our new home and how we want our rooms to look whole enjoying amazing food. Now after a year of living here I've come to enjoy their Taco Tuesdays. The staff is always friendly and kind and we chat it up while I wait for my order. I brought all this up because it brings back wonderful memories and that's my experience.

My husband and I came again. I was craving the langostinos. We walked in on a Saturday around 6PM. You walk in and immediately get a shot of the bar. Music is blaring and it's some top 30 stuff. We were immediately seated. Love the decor of the place and love the dining furniture. It's so well crafted, heavy duty and just feels authentic. We were greeted my a nice waitress. All of the employees are wearing masks and they offer hand sanitizer at the hostess booth. I also watched them clear a table and use a sanitizing agent on it to wipe it down. I had to deduct a start unfortunately because my husband ordered a shrimp and Carne asada plate. The shrimp was good but the Carne asada didn't take right. Almost as if they fried up some meat that was at the bottom of the marinated container. It tasted fried...in old grease. Please don't be a Mexican restaurant whom serves nasty Carne asada..thats just pitiful. You then have music blaring from the bar and then have separate juke box music competing in the dining area along with ppl trying to have conversation over the dueling music genre's. May just have to order my langostinos to go and not order anything else which means I have to go elsewhere for my family and in that case maybe not.

Their fried sushi is bomb with carne asada and shrimp but 4 bucks a soda and 20 bucks a shot of tequila? Dang! Talk about inflation lol

Los Dos Potrillos has been our go-to for years in Salinas. When they came to Los Banos they brought the flavor from back home to Los Banos. We ordered a Molcajete Caliente and a medium size Mariscada delivered and everything was delicious as always. I highly recommend those 2 dishes, they are 2 of my favorites from here.

Drove pass LB and was in dire need of food. Stopped here for a quick bite. The food was descent but the salsa was meh. Super bland and watery. I'd go back for the drinks and other food items if we were in the area. The servers were also very nice and friendly. Sat outside and dined outdoors on 3/22/21. Here is what we tried: Chavela Fried Shrimp Tacos Mixed Fajita Plate Carne Asada Tacos Another plus...they have homemade tortillas. Corn and flour. Piping hot and fresh.

Plastic on my husband's fried fish plate in the rice.

So today we visited Dos potrillos in Los Bamos and unfortunately it was a terrible experience, my husband ordered a fried fish (mojara frita) and there was a piece of plastic in the rice, he said he was chewing and chewing but it seemed too tough so he took it out and it was a plastic , he was almost done but it grossed both of us soo much we stopped eating. We told the worker that served our food and she only apologized a 2 or 3 times and offered to give us more rice and took the wrong plate that had the rice for my food, she didn't even asked where it was on what plate, oh well at the end of the day it was not her fault cause she's not the cook. It was just kind of careless respond. But will never be going back.

First time trying this restaurant, my husband and I went during the week for lunch as we've been trying to go in the evenings and it looks packed so this time we went ahead for lunch. First impression, nobody greeted us. Restaurant was empty. We stood there until someone came and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We ordered camarones El Kora (they were okay, wouldn't get them again, try them at Islitas in Lodi, they're bomb!) I got a campechana (never again, tasted too much like lemon) and my husband got aguachiles verdes (he enjoyed). I got an agua de Jamaica (tasted like nothing). My husband got a lemonade (he says it was fine lol). We only got forks so we had to hunt someone down for spoons. We never saw our waitress come check up on us the whole time we were there, AND IT WAS EMPTY NOT EVEN BUSY! Same thing when we wanted to pay, we had to hunt someone down for it. Would I come here again? Yes, to try other items from the menu. This review is mainly for the service and the food items I got.

One thing I loved was the "Feed Me Tacos & Tequila" sign on the wall--it makes for a fun photo opportunity and fits the vibe of the restaurant perfectly. However, the tree branches partially block the sign, making it difficult to get a good picture. It would be great if they either lowered the sign or trimmed the branches so guests could fully enjoy it as a photo spot. Unfortunately, the cocktail was a major disappointment. It looked gorgeous, but it tasted like there was little to no alcohol in it. I'm a lightweight and typically feel the effects of a single drink, but I finished the entire cocktail and didn't feel anything. It was supposed to be made with mezcal tequila but I requested a substitution, so I'm not sure if that change was overlooked. The birria tacos were just okay. They were a bit dry and could have used more cheese for better flavor and texture. The salsa was also very thin and watery, which was underwhelming and didn't add much to the meal. Overall, the ambiance and service were the highlights of the experience, but the food and drinks fell short of expectations

I love this restaurant, This is Southwest cuisine done to perfection. Think Chevy's , but with an extensive menu and food that is actually really good. There was nothing I would change about my visit tonight- it was memorable and fulfilling. For starters , we ordered the Margherita pizza. Not quite Southwest , but it works - trust me! The pizza is wood-fired! The cheese , tomatoes and basil are fresh. Oh , and the tomato sauce they use is just right. Seriously, the pizza here rivals some pizza that I have tried at Italian restaurants. I can't wait to try more pizza creations. For my entree, I opted for the chile verde enchiladas covered in a smooth tomatillo sauce. This enchilada sauce was so tangy and the pico de gallo and guacamole topped them off perfectly. The entree comes with Spanish rice and charro beans. My wife opted for the ribeye steak fajitas , and they were fantastic. The steak was marinated well and it was tender. The only thing that could have made this dish better would be homemade tortillas . Espana's serves up high quality food. Everything that I have tried so far has been phenomenal. The service that we receive is always prompt and friendly , and the food comes out fast -but not too fast. Tonight's meal was a five star experience. Please look at the colorful menu items below and make it a point to stop in and try for yourself.

Sharing tells of old to the amazement of the young, the wool Growers is a staple in this town. We have celebrated many a birthdays or raised a glass in memory of days of old, people who have passed. Order a main, steak, chicken, lamb... and let the feast begin. Red wine - no labels. Made in house. Salad, soup, fresh bread, butter, potato salad, lamb stew, beans "ranchera" style served unlimited. Being able to enjoy a full meal without completely extortionary prices is a rarity in today's world - and quite frankly if you want to get it in California, you probably need to get it driving up and down I-5. Not sure where else you can do it. The set menu is pretty simple. You pick your entree, say what side dishes you want, and they're off to the races with a full-course meal for you by providing family-style sides - namely salad, a lamb soup (fantastic!), baked beans, even a quick easy dessert at the end. Also, a house wine, which I honestly can't judge in terms of quality, but it certainly isn't /bad/ (ie, it's drinkable). As for my review, the main entrees I've had have generally been decent. I've had the tri-tip and the lamb chop and they both have come out decently seasoned, decently cooked. My thoughts on the side dishes: 1. The lamb soup is definitely the best. It's super flavorful, super tender, the meat really falls apart in your mouth. Honestly, the lamb soup might even be better than the actual lamb entrees. 2. The vegetable soup is basically just fine. It's nice and hearty, but honestly not super memorable (in either direction). 3. The salad is probably my least favorite entree simply because it always has too much dressing and is a bit too "rich" for my liking. I've actually found that it tastes pretty good though if you eat it on top of the bread. 4. Baked beans - basically hearty and good with the generous parmesan cheese they put over it. I'm a fan. My actual certified Gamer Pro-Tip is to toss tabasco sauce into it - it definitely balances out the parmesan better. 5. Potato salad - I don't actually think too memorable besides being adequate. Definitely filling. Anyways, the amount of food and diversity of dishes you get is crazy - and it's remarkably rare to see this kind of cuisine at this price point. Finally, there's honestly just not a lot of competition in the "places to eat driving up and down between Los Angeles and the Bay Area." If I had to think of any changes, I really just think they need slightly less dressing on the salad! No complaints otherwise!

Some random American music was playing, I think. I like that the room felt a little old and a bit dark in tone, but that there was also a decent sized window that provided some brightness to contrast it well. The service was fine, I have no complaints here. The main thing that I'm not particularly fond of based on a single visit to this restaurant is the food. To start, there are a lot of things to choose from on the menu, and you can choose what meat that you want with your pasta. I don't particularly like that kind of set up to begin with, because there's a chance that I could choose a combination where the flavors don't really complement each other. I don't want to have to be a professional chef or even need to be knowledgeable in food in order to know what tastes good on the menu. In regards to the actual food itself, I thought it was weird that my raviolis already were kind of cold when they came out. In addition to that, none of the food I received striked me as particularly bursting with flavor. The flavors felt muted and a little bit dull. It wasn't bad, I just wouldn't call it a superb fine dining experience. If I'm back in Los Banos, I would want to try this place again, but I think that I should ask the server what I should order instead of trying to craft it myself.

I got the Mr. milkman cocktail and it was pretty tasty, although I did notice how it appeared, as if there were a lot of wines and other beverages that they were out of. Even with my cocktail, they had to substitute the base with soda water, although it was still tasty. There was probably about 7 to 8 wines/sakes that were crossed out on the menu. Food came out fast, and the service was decent on that chefs end. I got the Korean Stone bowl dish, and It was pretty tasty, although fairly expensive for what it was... rice, veggies, and a little bit of beef, but I do like the concept of having a hot bowl that progressively warms up the rest of the food inside. I really do wish there was more meat inside for the price, I feel like only two or three bites had beef. One thing that I really noticed (and I think I noticed even more because I was sitting at the bar) was how servers and the bartenders spent a lot more time conversing with their friends (who were sitting at the bar) then checking in on some of the other people. Someone did approach me to put in my drink order, but I flagged down the server to put all my other food orders in. I don't think anybody came and asked how my meal was either. I do enjoy the overall ambience of the place, dim mood lighting, a minimalist esthetic, and a bar that really nicely displays some of their high end liquors.
