We went today and got 1 chicken torta, 1 steak torta and 2 Mexican steak tacos. My husband wanted his chicken torta with beans, it just had chicken and tomatoes. I got the steak torta and it had refried beans , mayo , tomato and lettuce. According to the menu refried beans is not on the torta, just your choice of protein. I do not like refried beans, I feel like that's just a way to be skimpy with the meat! And their was barely any steak. The salsa for the tortas tasted store bought. Chicago Mexican places salsa is always charred tomatoes, garlic and onions and it makes a big difference. Also the torta bread needs to be grilled so that your not getting a soggy torta. read more

I have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years. I've been here a couple dozen times. It used to be located down the street. I'll be honest I will probably never be back. The chips and salsa were so bland, the salsa was just tomato sauce. The chile relleno left a lot to be desired. The taco salad had no flavor. I gave three stars because the service was excellent though I would suggest that the employees dress a little more professionally. I'll give it a year and may try again. I'm hoping the owner reevaluates some things. read more

I'm only doing this cause we have a right to our opinion, she must be new hire but her customer service with her guest is disgusting, every time that I come in there , she always has an issue with something. I had placed a order probably less then 5 months ago and it was messed up and I had called to get it fixed which is was made perfect and very fulling when I did come back later that night , But she tried to argue with me that morning saying I never asked for what I was missing when I'm a regular and I love me some authentic food so I was just like okayyy. So I just brushed it off since then but today , it just seems like every time she sees it is me , she just has this hate towards me . My family just enjoyed takeout of a variety of exceptional steak and shrimp tacos from this establishment. My 4 year old daughter ate her tacos and then proceeded to attack her father's and I tacos lol. The corn tortillas were fresh and stayed in tact which I loved because I hate eating tacos with all of the fillings dropping out due to soggy corn tortillas. The toppings were fresh and plentiful. The meat was well seasoned, grilled to perfection and not dried out at all. They serve Menudo soup on weekends, I plan on stopping by this Saturday to order a couple of bowls. All in all as far as tacos are concerned this place is solid and authentic. I'm so looking forward to trying out more of their dishes. read more

Pulling into Bunnell during an afternoon bike ride we were aiming for the popular fish place down the street, but when we saw it was packed we gave Los Dos Potrillos a try. What a welcome surprise! The shrimp fajitas my wife got were outstanding, especially the pico toppings. I also had a soft shell taco that was amazing with some very unique and tasty sauce.it was during the virus scare so we had to sit outside but the owner was friendly and the view of bikes on US1 was perfect. The service was great, the chips and salsa good to. The wife ordered chicken fajita and spent two days in the bathroom sick. The two burritos meals, filled with over cooked meat with rice and beans which was the exact same side items. Both only half eaten. One option for tip was 30% but customized to 15%. I've been looking for street tacos for some time at a reasonable price point and I found them. Small strip mall store with some great food. My wife and I had 8 tacos for lunch for a $11 bill. They were everything we wanted. Great flavors, fresh salsa and a vey welcoming staff. I can't wait to go back. Is tomorrow too soon? A hidden gem in Bunnell. The tacos are authentic with homemade corn tortillas, fresh ingredients, and served hot. The guac was fresh made and very chunky. Their green, spicy salsa is amazing. We tried the chicken fajitas and enchiladas. Seasoned well and lots of food for the price. Their salsa is watery and tasteless. It needs seasoning. Friendly and attentive staff. We will try them again. Went back again with friends. Service was terrible and the food not what we ordered. Went there for the $1 tacos that only occurs on the weekends. ($1.50 on the weekdays.) The ingredients were quality, but the tacos were quite small. The good news is that 5 tacos that include meats like carnitas, asada, adobada, chicharron, etc., is cheaper than a taco bell value meal and much better tasting! I didn't see it on the menu, but I hope they do have the adobada plates with beans, rice, and tortillas on the side. The nice lady at the front counter gave me what appeared to be an old menu with no prices, but she told me plates run from $8.50-$10.00. One thing worth noting: if you like hot sauce, you're gonna have to pay for it here. Only one 2oz. cup comes with each meal and after that it's $.50 a piece. As someone who uses about 4 of those per plate, that hurts! If I get a $10.00 plate with 4 hot sauces, I'm paying nearly double the cost of a mexican plate in CA or Colorado where these type of places are common. read more

I don't understand the positive reviews?? Family of three came in on a Saturday in between lunch and dinner. Only other table in the place was a group of 6 gentleman only drinking beer and having chips and salsa . Several mugs gathered on the table. They were all speaking spanish and I thought.. hey thats a good sign right? The young lady working was pleasant and took our drink order right away. Not many options for combinations but menu looked authentic. We all decided to go with tacos, little guy chicken tacos, myself steak tacos and my lovely date pork tacos. No chips and salsa were offered so I decided to ask for some. Let me tell you this.. It was crushed tomatoes right out of the can.. No onion, no garlic, no cilantro, no jalapeno no seasoning.. Literally crushed canned tomatoes. Very disappointing. On to the tacos.. some of the most dry tacos I've ever had.. I tried one from everyone just thinking maybe it was the steak I ordered.. but no.. My son kept pulling pieces of hardened taco out of his mouth and putting it on the plate.. I thought at first maybe he found a bone in his chicken. it happens.. but no.. it was a a piece of flour tortilla, SOFT TACOS.. I think not.. maybe stale tacos.. Never again, left here feeling like we didn't get out moneys worth and after the hour drive home we ordered pizza.. what a shame. read more

Horrible. Not authentic at all. I heard very positive reviews from all my friends. They told me that I need to try this place. So we did. I was not impressed at all. The meat tasted old. When I got there they told me a different price than what they quoted me on the phone. They told me $24.06 but when I got there she told me it was going to be $28.33. They said that they forgot to charge me for queso. All we ordered was a cheese quesadilla, steak the heat is, queso, and chips and salsa. But they told me that the chips and salsa were free because we order the queso. So, needless to say I will not be back. read more

i've not been since i moved away from flagler county in april, but i love los dos potrillos. everything i've eaten there is good, and i've tried most of the menu. the chiles rellenos are fantastic. the meat is all delicious. i believe the tortillas are homemade. what i love the most, though, is the staff. the owner is so helpful to those who are not super familiar with mexican food. i know very little about the cuisine, but she's always encouraged me to try different things, and i've never regretted heeding her advice. read more

Almost everything I've eaten here has been good. The carnitas especially are the best, and the caldo de res that they have on the weekends. I've brought friends from LA and they loved it too. Went to this place cause I read several reviews from another site that stated the food was really good. It was okay at best, but the customer service was the worst! It was so bad I will not return to this place. The waitress - the young teenage girl who took our order seemed annoyed that we came to eat there. We got there a little after 6:00. The sign stated the place closes at 7:00, but the waitress made it known she wasn't happy that she had to work and serve food. There was another couple at the restaurant as well and when that lady tried to place her order the waitress stated they were out of that because she literally just ate it because they didn't think they would have any more customers - Wow really?!!? Then the waitress locked the doors and stated out loud to everyone in the restaurant that they were closing and we were the last customers they were serving. That was at 6:30. Such awful service! So unprofessional even for a small family restaurant! Not worth the trip or my money. Disappointing dinner! read more

We finally found really good Mexican Food. The food is very fresh, not overly salted or spiced. The food tasted as if we were invited into someone's home and nothing like "chain restaurant fare". This evening we tried Carne Asada Con Rajas, Fajitas de Camarones, and Carne Adobada...so,so good!!! Everything is fresh made: tortillas (delicious), beans, rice.
