They will give you a buzzer and your drinks to take to your table. He got his chorizo tacos x2, chips and queso and horchata lol always. His tacos looked delicious, it had the onions and cilantro (which I had hoped for mine) and the corn tortillas. The queso was an incredibly small portion--like a 6oz sauce cup! Not worth it in my opinion. He loved his horchata as always. I ordered the grilled fish tacos. I was a little disappointed when they came out, they were on grilled flour tortillas, very very small portion of grilled fish, lettuce?!?!, tomatoes and a creamy green sauce. I was so disappointed with this location. I love Los Gauchos but this location definitely missed the mark. The guacamole was overly salted to the point it was inedible. I am not the person that typically complains to staff but this time, I had to say something. The worker was kind and apologized for it. She even offered if I wanted to swap it out for something else or issue me a refund for it. I also had the suadero sopes and the meat itself was good but the masa of the sopes didn't taste right. Tacos are always what's good and something that is seek out but where I go to get them isn't always my choice and that's the case here. The tacos here were just ok nothing to stand out flavor wise as I've had pastor all over the country as well as many places in Mexico with CDMX last month so I definitely know what I'm talking about. Their pastor was kinda flavorless to be honest and it just didn't stand out to me but what did save it was their huge chunk of fresh pineapple inside of it as pastor and pineapple go hand in hand while the tacos didn't stand out they definitely were average to the point I wouldn't come back. Their salsas are in squeeze bottles on the tables and I must say I didn't like the red one at all it just didn't taste good but their green one was definitely the saving grace for my tacos as it added the much needed flavor to make them about average when it comes to pastor tacos. My horchata was also just ok nothing to bold of a flavor but still good in its own way. Their mini quesadillas were ok just melted cheese but I did get them to do one of my favorite things with it add cilantro and onions inside of it while it's cooking as that just adds soo much to cheese and a tortilla along with that green sauce just made it good for it own way. Overall mid tacos I wouldn't come back for so take it for what it is and enjoy it if you come here as bottom line I still love some tacos and I've had soooo many over the years that I grade them very hard but like I said there are better ones out there! read more

Nice establishment and well decorated. It's not table service technically, you order at the counter and then you retrieve your plates from the same counter. The burritos were huge and had no complaints. The fish and shrimp tacos seemed well executed. The chicken, chorizo and steak tacos protein were kind of dry and unseasoned, but with plenty of salsa and lime juice it will subside. I tried the horchata which is very good and well priced for $3.00! The plantains are served with a condensed cream/milk and it is so delish. Some of the best plantains I've had. Finally got to try Los Guachos! Went with some family and snagged an al pastor taco and a fried fish taco. The interior is somewhat simple, but spacious, with plenty of seating and a long bar on the right. I tried a Tamarind margarita at dinner which was very tasty! It accompanied my tacos perfectly. Both tacos and the salsa that came on the side were awesome. Would 100 percent eat again. I also ordered one of their alcoholic horchata drinks for dessert-- YUM! I will definitely stop at any of their locations if I am in the mood for pastor tacos, and would absolutely stop in for drinks and dinner with friends in the future. read more

So if you're a regular or my reviews, you'll know that I have an Achilles heel when it comes to Al Pastor. I used to have a regular place that I loved to regularly go to in order to indulge my delicious weekness with, but they have sadly changed the recipe and style of their Al Pastor tacos! *shaking fist to the sky* Why God, why?? After years of perfection, they have finally peaked and fallen, which left me without a taco place for my fix . Luckily, I have found my new place to get those delicious little tacos at that know how to marinate, cut, and fry up just perfectly (cooked on a spit with a pineapple on top with big flat pieces cut off and lightly grilled to perfection). It's so mouth wateringly delicious! The texture is crispy but juicy, the marinate isn't spicy but flavorful, and the amount is plentiful per taco but not so much you can't fold it to commute the little sucker in your face thankfully. Other than my Al Pastor tacos for my daughter and I, I picked up a carne asada monarco burrito (mozarella cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole stuffed with steak) for my partner who seemed to be filled and pleased! It was definitely a big burrito and should tame even the hungriest beast of yours. I also was blessed enough to be treated to a cancelation carne asada torta (thanks and good looking out Los Guachos!). The bread was fresh and fluffy, the steak was good (not as good as the Al Pastor IMO but still yum) and half will fill you up if you're someone who doesn't eat a whole bunch and the entire thing would DEFINITELY make you full. The fish taco is crispy and flaky. They serve it in a flour tortilla, which tastes freshly made in house IMO. The Chipotle sauce that they drizzle on top of the fish is smoky and not too spicy, so if you are afraid of it being too hot to enjoy, don't worry. The al pastor gringa YES. JUST YES. Truly, you can't go wrong with the tacos or gringas. The only difference between the gringa and taco really is that it comes with cheese... might be something else in there too, but sadly, I inhaled that too quickly to report... well, it's not sad for me .... You can tell the word has gotten out about here because people were waiting on the parking lot for it to open including myself! So if you're near this place, just GO. Oh, and try that orchata because it won't disappoint . read more

This new Los Guachos spot is probably the biggest of them all, and they've done a great job on the interior! All menus here are digital to make it look super sleek, and they've included a full bar as well a separate ice cream and paleta counter. It's been open for about two weeks now, but I was pretty much the only one in there for lunch this past Monday, and I can't complain, because I'm sure once the word gets out, it will be packed. The tacos al pastor and gringas are as good as ever, and so was the fish. I need to go back and see if they have any new items on this menu, because it did look pretty large compared to their other spots. I didn't get a chance to try the desserts yet, but they have homemade ice cream and paletas. Much of the options are citrus and tropical fruits, including the ice cream flavors, which is not something you can get easily in the city without going to a Mexican ice cream shop. They're also offering cheesecake, flan, tres leches, and other desserts as well. If you're on the South or Southwest side of Columbus, it's very easy to get to this spot if you just jump North onto Hamilton Road. It's right next to Lalibela and has fairly easy parking, but unless they have parking in the back, it might fill up if it's pretty busy. The food is still delicious, and I'm sure the desserts are as well, but I'll have to update you once I find that out. read more

3 Gringas al pastor tacos to gobble down. I was quite hungry, (folks, don't judge), and salivating like the dickens when I laid eyes on ALL THE MEEEEAT!! Hot, juicy-as-fluff, spitfire-shaved, and full of flavor! The melted Mexican cheese was icing on the Taco-Cake I wanted to get something to-go, so I picked Los Guachos' Quesadilla Grande with al pastor meat - the addition of pinto beans is what sets this apart from their regular quesadilla. I know times are tough in the industry and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. But food was average, and they seemed extremely understaffed. Our table ordered four different bar drinks at about the same time, but they each got them 10-15 minutes apart because the bartender was also helping with food. So the last person to get their drink waited about an hour, and we were done with our food by then of course. It's a decently nice restaurant and large menu with good variety. But staffing and service is definitely lacking. read more

Tacos were ok, under seasoned and plain. We tried pastor, fish and chicken, all just average. Tiny for $3-$4 each. They charge $2 extra each for a fresh corn tortilla as well. Really, a tortilla? If you cannot handle intense spiciness, then avoid the complementary pepper pack that comes with the order-- definitely high on the Scoville scale. At the start, I should say my only time eating from here was carryout, so I won't speak to the atmosphere or service, other than to say everything went smoothly and the person I interacted with was pleasant. The food was good, and was packaged well for carryout. The al pastor is really the star protein here. By sharing with a friend, I was able to sample the chorizo (pretty solid, nothing special), the beef brisket/suadero (well cooked, under seasoned), the carne asada (a little overcooked, very under seasoned), and the al pastor (very tasty). If I go again, I will stick with the al pastor. The gringas (an open-faced al pastor quesadilla) were probably the highlight. read more

Pulled into Columbus this morning for a long weekend getaway and almost immediately set to looking for lunch. I still had to work a half day so tacos sounds quick and easy. Los Gauchos was one of the closest and so I hurried over and grabbed 6-7 to split with my wife. We got 1 fish taco, 1 shrimp taco, 2 pastors, 1 chicken, 1 steak, 1 brisket. Also got a horchata to drink. It was a lot of food but we were feeling hungry and polished it off pretty quickly. The tacos were fresh and pretty well loaded which I really appreciated! The shrimp and fish came with a spicy chipotle sauce on top that had a good kick and there were limes and salsa or salsa verde for the rest. My favorite was the shrimp but I also really enjoyed the moistness of the brisket taco too. The fish taco had been fried (which I like) but it was too well done and the whole thing had become one big fish crouton which was unfortunate. Wow, just wow. Mind blown. If this place was next to me I would come here daily. Steak cooked to perfection in my burroking burrito. Higher end meat and higher end ingredients too. I love this place. It's the closest local spot to my work. I can't resist their Monday special! The Al pastor is incredible. They never fuss when I ask for extra pineapple with my pastor. Usually when you order in a restaurant after your meal is made they bring it to you. That wasn't the case this time, me having to go get my own food was a mild bother to me nothing serious. But as I sat down with my food and began to eat, I look over and see the guy who took my order staring at me from a few tables over.
