Really really good, and I had a great meal. Chile rellenos was my choice, and it was good, spicy, and it was amazingly good. It's a combination plate, and has rice and beans, and comes with two tortillas, corn or wheat. Mostly, this is a sort of gloppy dish. But the taste was stellar, the chilies were great, and it was impressive as the place was PACKED and there was a convention in town that overwhelms most restaurants. Service was good and professional. When I'm in Xenia, I'm going there, which might not be until May of 2024. If you're trying to make a decision, you will not be disappointed. Been going here for years: dine in with large groups, small groups, and carryout. Never an issue. Always consistent, excellent service, quick food prep, and delicious food. Not tonight. There was an average number of guests at restaurant. Waiter seemed.......confused. No drink refills, no chips and salsa refills. Never returned to check if food was ok after he served it. Kitchen was very, very slow in preparing and sending out food. My chimichangas were burned. Granddaughter's chicken nuggets were so hard that she had trouble biting into them. We were celebrating a graduation with a party of 13 (been there plenty of times with a large party with zero problems). As such, I don't think that anyone in our party complained about anything (although keep in mind the waiter did not check back after service to make sure everything was ok) not wanting to dampen the celebration as well as just being ready to get out of there after such a miserable experience. Then we go to pay. A 'new'? very inept male was trying to ring people out. He ended up just kind of wandering away from the register. The foyer was packed. My brother's and sisters always want to bring me here whenever I'm in town. If you've ever eaten Mexican food in Houston, San Antonio, Albuquerque or San Diego you'll no doubt think my 3 star rating is a bit generous. My take on this resturant is that they are trying to please the tastebuds of Springfielders who have believe Taco Bell is authentic Mexican food. Imagine my surprise when I relocated to Houston and ordered dinner from an authentic Mexican restaurant. I actually thought my waitress(that's what they were called back then) brought me someone else's plate. I believe too that maybe they can't get the right ingredients in some cases. Let me start with, I don't like Mexican food. I go eat at these type places with wife and family. So I look for other items on the menu. This place has many things like burgers, BBQ pulled pork and grilled chicken. Every thing I have tried has been really good, along with the items that the family has tried also. Seating is typical of a Mexican restaurant booths around the outside with tables in the middle. The servers are very attentive and always have gotten our orders correct. Great service! Great patio!! Plenty of space to dine with your whole family even with new Covid requirements. We were returning to Dayton after visiting the caverns and wanted to stop for dinner. We're always interested in some Tex Mex, so we came here. My son got his usual quesadilla and easily ate the whole thing. My husband got his usual mixed meat fajita and said it was good. The bites I tried of chicken, steak and veggies were nice. I got a build your own combo - one cheese enchilada and one crunchy ground beef taco which came with rice and beans. But I have to say I was not impressed. The ground beef had zero flavor. And my enchilada tasted off. Something about the tortilla and the cheese inside....it just tasted like poor quality ingredients in a bland unidentifiable sort of way. I don't understand the hype. Food is okay but not great. Honestly if I owed a restaurant and the food was okay my servers would be top notch. Our waiter was rude. He was so rude from the time we sat down. Maybe rude isn't the word I'm looking for. We order and he is such a hurry to get away from our table we couldn't order everything we wanted before he walked away. He placed the food down and left stopped him for napkins then he never came back. Never asked how our food was. We had to stop him and ask for our bill and boxes. Our office ordered lunch from here today and my belly is still full (in a good way wink wink) So normally I'd've ordered the Mariachi chicken.... have done so in the past and truly it is bomb!! I was in Thursday March 3rd with my husband and grandson and was disappointed. The kids meal pricing was very disappointing. The kids meal was for my 2 year old grandson consisted of chicken nuggets fries which was 5.99 then it was 2.99 for a kids tea. 8.98 total for a kids meal that was nothing special. Sunday is a wonderful day to visit Los Mariachis, no crowd, no waiting. Typical Mexican fare with some combination of beef, chicken or fish in a burrito, enchilada or taco. Juan was our server and he was attentive, bringing extra chips, salsa and drink refills, early and often. I ordered El Tapatio, which was the perfect portion and delicious. Bought gift card around Christmas time in 2020, was not able to use it due to Covid. Went back on Mother's Day for take out. However, they refused to honor the gift card because they changed to a new type. My card was still within the two year expiration time frame, it was impossible to exchange it to a new one. We are pretty much regulars here having 37 check ins but I think we just had our last visit at Los Mariachis. If it weren't for the patio we would have stopped a long time ago. The food has really gone down hill and has been for quite some time. The mama who use to work here and manage it is no longer around, and it shows. The taco salad was a bowl of soggy mess. I had to use napkins to soak up the grease and water. The lettuce was wilted, the shell literally fell apart, and there was 2 pieces of shredded cheese that had melted. The server said they made it first so it sat in the window for quite some time before being brought out. It took 45 minutes to get our food. Quite some time is right. The quesadilla texanas had one strip of steak, lots of dry chicken and a few shrimp. So not worth $12. The tables are left dirty after guests leave. In fact we were sat at a dirty table. The host just wiped it off with his hand. Geez. They have a patio and cold beer so 2 stars. Food is 1 star. The salsa is just tomato chunks thrown in a vase. Completely terrible experience. Our server was nice as could be, but did not stop at our table unless we called her over. She didn't bring any refills, and she never checked on us. When we asked for something and she immediately turned around; we had to call her back several times. My friend ordered a burrito, which arrived with mold on the tortilla. The server explained they get tortillas once a week and sometimes they have mold....how does that make it acceptable?? At my table of 4, we all wanted to pay separately, but she didn't ask. Glad we found this place, it has the best vegetarian fajitas I have ever had. Huge portions, I had to take half of mine home. Los Mariachis is a great Mexican restaurant. I've come here in the past and ate lunch here yesterday as I was on my way from Columbus to Oxford, Ohio. It made for a nice stop and a very appetizing meal. I ordered guacamole as an app and it was GREAT! For the main meal I ordered chicken chimicangas. They were delicious! The restaurant also has a nice, large TV and several smaller TVs as well as a full bar. They offer many different types of mixed drinks and beers as well as fountain drinks. Chips and salsa are always free to any customer. When I was driving home from Oxford today, I couldn't resist it and had to stop at Los Mariachis again! I wanted to get two more of those great chicken chimichangas! The restaurant has great service and very speedy and kind waiters. It's a winner! read more

We had an informal baby shower the other late afternoon/early evening at this restaurant. I never realized they had a separate section for larger parties/events, but they do, and it served our purposes pretty well. We were seated at a looooooooooong table for about 25-30 people, and as I'm sure anyone who's ever been on the receiving OR serving end of such a large group (in the middle of early dinner RUSH HOUR, no less!) would agree that it could go MUY MAL... Not here!! The waiter/s took our drink orders, brought them out, then got our individual food (and take out!!) orders like a well-oiled machine!! MUUUUUUY BIEN!! Everyone got exactly what they ordered, and even all the picky "leave off the peppers, onions, anything with flavor/kick, etc." orders were taken care of, no complaints!! Everyone got their separate checks, to-go orders, and they even went out of their way to help clean up the extra mess of gift wrap, cake plates, etc. SOMBREROS off to Oscar and his crew... This place is perfect for just about any casual occasion under the sun. From after-church lunches, to one-on-one meals, to family dinner, this is where you wanna go.
