    The true visiting hours
    Michele D.

This is not online anywhere. The visiting hours online are wrong. Visiting is based upon where your child is housed. You cannot wear any jewelry at all (none) and you can only enter with your ID and one car key. Ignore the information online, it is wrong and you will waste a trip and not get to see your kid.

Okay, so I had some warrants for my arrest for petty theft of computer cleaner. This trip to jail…read morelasted under 3 months and I was charged with "chemical intoxication (they always claim in court that I have a drinking problem lol lousy notes these people take ) and battery on a firefighter who beat my face to a pulp and my eyes were swollen shut (I only had one hand to defend myself.) This, initially, was false imprisonment because the fighterfighters had ZERO right to force me in the gurney since I was completely coherent and was answering questions without any obvious obstruction of my cognition. They beat me just after I had a seizure and had fresh wrapped burns on my face and hands - my fault there but of course they never were charged and those two were obviously believed over me. Tough luck! Anyways, I just sat there, in the cell, on my bed and faced the wall until it was feeding time or showering time. They can't lock your imagination up!!!!!! I had no one to help on the outside since I'm not a paedophile. NO! seriously!! They're so relaxed and nonchalant about creepy old dudes getting down with kiddos. But yeah, I didn't receive any help or rehabilitation in there. I literally sat or lied down like a trapped dog in a cage for roughly 2,160 hours in my head or asleep. Like literally after I was released, I went straight to the dope man.

OMG there is literally NOT enough stars in the Universe for this place!! I had the amazing life…read morealtering opportunity to stay here one night in 2004 . I checked myself into jail early with a court visit ,they got me booked and had me wait in a holding tank in Van nuys with a bunch of other ladies, while we waited to be bused downtown, they gave us a sugary orange drink, a package of peanut butter, jelly and some bread, its super weird we got this same thing for every meal, pretty sure there was a mix up in the kitchen but I didn't want to appear high maintenance by complaining , there was one woman eyeing my apple ,she asked for it so I gave it to her, great 15 minutes in the pokey and I'm already giving shit up!! There was a schizophrenic woman that washed her hands about 50 times within a 20 minute period, and another big chick who took such a fierce stanley steamer in the toilet the fumes almost singed my eyelashes off. Then we finally got on the bus to the TT . I sat next to a woman with pink eye, black roots, two gold teeth and breath that smelt like she just ate a shit sandwich for breakfast, unfortunately she wouldn't stop talking to me ,but this was interrupted by the gang bangers in the back making cat calls.(a word from my generation) When we got to the jail ,we were greeted with such positive vibes,so welcome and inspiring, female deputies telling you were to stand and go, let me just say you can tell right away that there is absolutely no abuse of power in this place or any corruption at all one would never get that feeling at all coming into this jail there's any post-traumatic stress or tension in here at all!! I was thrown into a tank and I had to go to the bathroom , the nice guys throwing gang signs across the hall could see me , they were pounding on the glass and cheering me on at this time I really wanted to cry I felt such love and support some were even grabbing their crotch to show me they knew what I was going through ,we all waited in a room to be processed and we watched a few episodes of cops. In this female section there was a bevy of different women from all walks of life there was the hardcore prison women and then there were the ostentatious track-hoes in flashy clothing. If I was to name this movie it would be "The Bunny Ranch meets Alcatraz". I met some friends from Chow chilla prison that were down there to see the judge ,yup I was forming my squad /my crew, my posse. We were the spiritual crew talking about higher powers and Abraham Hicks,The Secret .I was feeling my wings and independence at this point . We all got thrown in another tank ,then sent off for a shower ,we all got to pick a pretty little scented soap and took a 3 minute freezing shower after the shower we all got a pretty orange Ivanka Trump jump suit and white flats to wear... back in our tank a track hoe started masturbating in the corner under her coat and the Chow chilla ladies wanted to jump her for it ,after several more tanks upstairs we finally got our bedding 1000 thread count Laura Ashley sheets and a goose down feather bed,as the lights went out I dozed off to the lovely jail sounds of fighting , yelling and the track hoe masturbating off in the distance a few beds away, but before you know it my name was called and I started back down the slope to exit this happy place. Bye the time I got to check out they told me I never checked in $80.00 but theres no way these honest , deputies would ever lie to a inmate or do anything dirty so I second guessed my self and asked again anyways , ironically enough they found it . I stepped outside and it was about 6:30 am the next day, the sky was breaking and I walked down to Denny's for a grand slam Breakfast! I recommend you visit here at least one night in your life. You wont want to leave.

Even scheduling a visit feels like a battle--the outdated, glitchy website makes it incredibly difficult just to see your loved one. It left me feeling like families are kept at a distance instead of being encouraged to stay connected. My loved one went five days without prescribed psychiatric medication until he suffered a seizure, and by the time I saw him two weeks later, I barely recognized him. No family should have to experience that. If your loved one is there, document everything, keep calling, and never stop advocating for them. This was our experience, and people deserve to know there is another side to Twin Towers. They make everything so difficult when it comes to families supporting their loved ones.

Generally speaking, most people and nurses would understand and have a sense of compassion, it is unfortunate that the few that are not would have to ability to take what little comfort I found while trying to support my husband after having a stroke. I would visit Monday through Sunday attempting to find any sense of normalcy. One particular nurse named Toshi came in an asked, "Do you need anything?" I was assuming he was speaking to my husband the patient (Jonathan) So I did not pay too much attention, he then said that I needed to have the mask on. I completely understood and I told ok I will, I noticed him staring at me so I told him I was going to finish a math problem I was working on really quick, and I will put it on. Within seconds he called the charge nurse, I told the charge nurse the same thing that I was going to put it on I just wanted to finish a math problem before I was timed out. I was confused because I agreed to put it on and I though that if I advised them why I didn't want to stop right away they would understand. I spoke with the doctor because she was advised of the problem, I did not feel a sense of understanding. I understand there are polices and I am also aware of the rise in covid cases, but the truth of the matter is that I kiss my husband and we are well over 6 feet from anyone. I was more than willing to put on a mask, but I guess I did not do it fast enough. As if that was not enough the nurse Toshi returned twice after that, after returning the first time my husband requested a charge nurse to speak to, Toshi failed to get the charge nurse but came back again to provide me with the hospital rules. All I am saying is that I feel these nurses should have some compassion, I agreed to put on the mask, but I felt like a child being scolded. Even after speaking with the doctor, she stated she would switch the nurse but didn't, our concerns fell on deaf ears. It's been hard, if Toshi would have just given me 5 minutes.

Must say I was pretty unenthused about the whole process of visitation at this location …read more... recently found out my best friend was incarcerated at this facility and let me just say I put off the visit for a week or two, due to my experience of sheer hell , total waste of time and un due stress and anger id have every week twice a week from December 2012-January 2014 and again late 2016 to mid 2017. Happy to say this time was a vast improvement! Kudos to the Staff , which was courteous and prompt, and no long lines. Besides the bucket in middle of waiting room collecting the roof leak, it seemed way cleaner. Can't vouch for the bathroom which was always just horrifying! Line moved smoothly, officers weren't standing around shooting the shit and ignoring us and letting the line build....or didn't flirt with the hood rats or talk shit or be extra with each individual...... Names called pretty promptly.... actually called within 15 minutes of checking in.... I used to fall asleep waiting for my ex boyfriends name to be called. The major problems back when was the officers always without fail would make some snarky remark or be on some enormous power trip and loved playing god with your visits. Guess al the complaints really prompted some customer service skills or on a more realistic way of putting things, the county decided to place the old officers whom were void of any human emotions somewhere that didn't involve the general public... Also the lines and disorder of the visitation was just outrageous. Congrats on getting it together, Really makes our day go by smoothly, it's nice to not be punished for our loved ones mistakes lol! I will say that the rate for parking is pretty high.... while wayside offers free parking... this is why I gave you 4 stars.

I enjoy how strong the AC is in here and the staff are also very friendly and informative. I was assisted by the male staff here who gave me great tips especially with handling multiple library cards!! (I had to open a library card here as I didnt have one for this branch!) There's outlets everywhere, even next to chairs, which are super handy. Reminds me of my university library with how modern the lighting and furniture is, but way cleaner!! Lots of activities and clubs too over here such as Lego club or Chess club. Just gotta pay attention to the many flyers being displayed around. The remaining areas are pretty quiet to work in but it does get louder than library noise from 3-5pm on weekdays when the students from the nearby school come in. Bathrooms are clean and it feels pretty safe. Definitely would recommend anyone who needs a place to get their work done.
