Had a quick and tasty lunch here that aligned perfectly with my chicharron craving and will surely be back to scratch the itch in the future. The plate pictured was about $16 and change with the drink. The chicarron was quite fresh and nicely portioned. They have mangu 3 days a week and the Thursday I went was one so I decided to try, sadly it was a touch salty for me and not as authentic, smooth and buttery as prior Dominican mangu's I've enjoyed. The queso frito was a yummy few bites fried to perfection. And the grilled fresh jalapeños I would order by the dozen. The ladies serving the food her super sweet and there is a chill covered patio outside with fans to blow the pesky flies and intense heat away. The mini tables on the trees were a cute treat to see! Best empanadas I've had in a long time. I stumbled into this place looking for some quick to grab. I order a guava and cheese fried empanada, chicken empanada and a beef one. Also, a side of chicharrón and a fried cheese. Most locations have the empanadas already made and ready to serve. Not here I had to wait for freshly made empanadas and it was worth the wait. All 3 flavors were delicious. Hot and steamy and full. The fried cheese was also made to order and I love it as well. The chicharron was the only thing that was already pre made. In my opinion it needed a bit more seasoning but that's just me. I would definitely recommend and I will be coming back to try lunch/dinner foods. read more

They give you a lot of food for the price you pay. The staff is also very nice and always willing to answer any questions you may have. It's a no frills kinda place which lots of snacks, almost like a convenient store. Go to the right hand side, there's a counter where you pick what you want. They had rice, stews, meats, empanadas, you name it. I decided to get three empanadas. Guava & cheese, beef, and chicken. They fried it fresh for me while I waited a few minutes. The guava and cheese was my favorite, the beef was a close second, the chicken was my least favorite because it was dry. I also got some Latin chips and candy. If you need to use their restroom, you will need a key. The employees were friendly and chipper; helpful with explaining the different foods to me. There's a counter where you could sit and dine, but it's a To-Go place hence the name lol. In the end, I can't wait to go back for a cheap and hearty meal! read more

This place was easy to find as your greeted with a big sign, and the parking lot is a pretty good size. Going into the store, there was a line outside but it went by pretty quickly. Stepping inside you can feel the ambience of the Latino culture in here and it's just great and it's very welcoming and the staff was very friendly and if you had any questions, they would be more than glad to assist you. For the food I got the chicken meal with one side I wanted to try the creamy chicken, but they didn't have it at the time, but this chicken with the yellow rice and Yucca was very good. This is the closest to authentic Mexican tacos I've had in the Davie area. I'm used to true tacos with corn tortillas and slow roasted meats, only being served out of food truck or a side trolley on the side of the road. Los Paisanos is a mix of Mexican and Cuban food alike. On the Mexican side they have roasted meats, corn tortilla tacos served with cilantro onion and lime, and Jarritos (don't know if that's only Mexican but the only soda I was able to drink growing up). On the Cuban side they have grilled meats, fried cheese, and Cuban coffee. All food is pre-prepared so you will be in and out of this place. No worries if you can't wait to eat your yummy food there is outside seating available. This is also a small Latin supermarket. Definitely not fully stocked with dried peppers and meats.
