One of my friends is from Nicaragua and he knew about this place, so he insisted we go for lunch. So we went. It was good. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and the food was tasty. My friend loved it, but I'm not counting his opinion because when he gets food in front of him, he's like a Hoover. I've never seen him not eat anything. The fajitas are good, and the rice and beans are tasty. It was lunch time so we didn't spend a lot of time hanging around, but the people were friendly enough, especially if you spoke Spanish (which I don't do muy bueno). What I appreciated most is that the place is clean (including the restroom) and the food is reasonably priced. Those two things make a huge difference in my opinion. read more

I should have looked at Yelp before I ate here. To be fair there was a sign advertising for a cook so maybe this is only temporary. We ordered huevos rancheros and chicken fajitas. The chicken was tasty but the tortilla was very think so not enjoyable eating. The tostones were soggy and the beans salty. The huevo ranchero was "ok". Clean and lots of Salvadorian options. Had the pupusa made of rice with cheese and chicharron, tamal de elote, and a jugo de tamarindo. I was so happy with my choices everything was flavorful. They have the yummiest pupusas and they are filled. They don't skimp out on the filling. Our favorite is the pupusa de chicharrón. We usually take it to go but we have also decided to eat in. It was packed on a Sunday. The restaurant inside definitely needs a new updated look. My husband and daughter love the tamales de elote. They are very good. I'm giving this place 5 stars because of the how authentic the food was. To think I almost didn't eat here when I first pulled up. I thought it wasn't open because of how run down the outside of the building looked. Inside is not really that impressive, but the one girl working there had a big welcoming smile on her face and was very friendly. The food was out of this world. The lemon pepper chicken was really moist and melted right in your mouth,and the home made tortillas topped it off! You get chips and homemade salsa as soon as you sit down, which is a plus too! I really like the fact they use fresh ingredients. It felt like I was eating at someone's house not a restaurant in a strip mall. If you are ever in this area, stop and give it a try..... This Mom and Pop little restaurant is my go-to when I want some good Salvadorian food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I always order their pupusas and they never cease to amaze me. Awesome customer service, clean, and great food (def. budget friendly). The cafe con leche is also "Bomb". It's not the nicest of places (older floors, and furniture) but if you want inexpensive, tasty food and good cafe, this is the place for you. The cuban sandwich was tasty and the alcapurria was a bit on the well done side but also tasty. I just wish the staff were a bit more friendly and hospitable.
