I called St.Helena Auto to book a diagnostic for later that week. They had Friday 10am open. I dropped the car off at 10am and was told it should be 2 hrs or so. I waited until 1pm, then called them to check on progress. They said they were starting to work on it now. After waiting in several coffee shops all day, I walked back to the shop around 3, they were just finishing my car. They said they had refilled the refrigerant to see if there was a big leak (there wasn't) and had diagnosed the compressor's electronic components were bad. The tech said they'd send estimate for work by end of day, or maybe early the next week. I was billed ~330 dollars. The next week I didn't see an email go by, work was busy, and I figured I'd give them time to complete writing up the estimate. The following Tuesday (so 11 days after I brought the car in) I called in to ask if they could re-send the estimate, since I had never received it. They told me that since I'd driven my car off the lot since the estimate had been done, I needed to come in for a second diagnostic + estimate. I emphasized I still didn't have a copy of the first estimate of work. They insisted that since it had been 30 days since my diagnostic (it had not, it had been 11 days) I needed to come in for a second diagnostic. They also said they did have a copy of the initial estimate, and would email me it. They never did. Overall, I am sad that I wasted all of our time bringing my car into this shop. Perhaps they are super busy and forgot to writeup the results from the initial diagnostic, but trying to charge me for a second one is not what I expected.

After…read moreseeing a car on their lot after driving by on a Sunday we made an internet inquiry that evening. We received a call from Imm the next morning confirming the car was still available. We made an appointment for 2pm that day to meet with Eddie to look at it. When we arrived at 2pm we went in to meet Eddie and he had the car and keys ready to go. He immediately handed over the keys for a test drive. He also offered, while we did the test drive, to check out our current vehicle for Trade In pricing. We were prepared to provide a decent cash amount down, but decided to see what they would offer, not expecting much as is usually the case with dealers. When we returned from the test drive we sat down with Eddie to review numbers and were happily surprised with the number they can back with on the Trade In as well as the incentives that were available to us and they overall price for the new vehicle. As such we decided to proceed with the purchase and Trade In. It took just a few minutes to complete the initial credit check and during that time Mr. Sager came out to thank us, offer us water and gave my husband a hat. We then went in to meet with Imm to complete the finance paperwork and appreciated his thoroughness and no pressure approach. The entire process took just over 2 hours - by far the least amount of time it has ever taken for us to buy a new vehicle. Eddie, Imm and Mr. Sager thanked us multiple times and let us know to reach out if we had any questions or concerns. We are pleased with our new car, and more importantly, we are happy with the experience we had at Sager Ford. We are local Napa residents and will recommend Sager Ford to all of our friends. From the moment you walk in, the team is friendly, knowledgeable, and just easy to work with. You can tell they actually know their stuff and take pride in what they do. Pricing on wheels and tires was very reasonable, and everything was explained clearly--what was wrong, what needed to be done, and what could wait. No pressure, no surprises. I think the head suspension tech/owner (Jim) might be the Michael Jordan of tire, wheel, and suspension installation. When I had an issue with something in my suspension, he showed me the part and explained why it needs to be addressed. I know a little bit about cars but Jim would explain an issue in a digestible way that someone with no car knowledge or mechanical aptitude could understand. That's a rare gift in the automotive repair industry. What really stood out to me is they don't move forward with any additional work unless you give the green light. That level of transparency and respect is rare. Also--random but worth mentioning--they have the cleanest restroom I've ever seen in any mechanic or retail shop. That alone says a lot about how they run their business. I'll be honest, I spent a bit more than I expected on both visits--but I left feeling 100% confident my vehicles were safe and the work was done right. That peace of mind is worth it. I trust the guys there, I trust their work, and I'll absolutely keep going back for wheels and tires. Already recommending them to friends and family. 6 out of 5 stars

I first spoke with Jim over the phone and…read morelet him know I was considering a 2.5-3 lift for my 4th gen 4Runner and also needed CV replaced. I came in the following week and spoke with him in person. Jim was transparent, honest and had a lot of knowledge to offer. When I didn't understand something, he showed me actual parts to help me visualize and understand (clamshell bushing). After going over options, I opted for Bilstein 6112s (3 inches)/5100s (1.5 inches) + rear springs, SPC UCAs, clamshell bushing and CV replacement. Labor cost and prices for lift kit/parts were are very fair here. Original Wheels also had everything I needed in stock for same day service so it was very accommodating. My 4Runner is a little beefier now and I just love the stance. Ride quality is very smooth with the 6112s considering I drive about 40 miles daily for work. I'll definitely be back in the near future for some 33's or 35's. Come check them out for wheels and tires as well, they have a huge selection, definitely something for everyone. I previously purchased Method wheels and Falken Wildpeaks AT4Ws from these guys a year ago as well. Absolutely my new go-to shop and would definitely recommend them to others!
