This is a great place for lunch, especially if you like Taco Salads. I do and their taco salad is great. You can even get wheat tortillas and black beans now if you are more healthfully inclined. Good place to eat, they serve beer too. read more

I see that there's a lot of mixed opinions of this place but I've had nothing but good vibes here. I've been coming to this place for 3 years now and the food quality stays 100% the same. All the girls who work here are awesome they are always welcoming me into the restaurant and are never afraid to hold a conversation. Ordered Carne Asada Fries, Rolled Tacos, Machaca Burrito and Cali Burrito's tonite and everything was a huge disappointment. For what we spent, the portions were lacking!!! What a waste of $. The guacamole looked old. The carne was of poor quality. This is the same exact thing that happened when we went to the location on Newport. we are so disappointed! We have been coming to this Los Primos location for several years. Over this past year everything seems to have declined. We always get our food to go, and it has always been great. But over this past year we have gotten home to find some pretty disgusting things like obviously old food, items dumped on top of each other within the same plate, etc. We are not picky and we understand things can fall together during the trip home and get cold. This is different. I have pulled out chili rellenos that can't even be cut through with a sharp knife. Portions are smaller and no care given. I will leave it at that. Very below average Mexican restaurant. There are soooo many better options in the area trust me you better off looking else where. There food, although plentiful, is flavorless. They do offer the expected salsas and taco sides on a buffet cart to the side but that does little to improve the bland burritos and tacos. The food here is not bad but not the greatest. What makes this place are their signature "Monster Burritos" ... The salsa bar is pretty good too. The reason they get such a low star is, I went on 8/18/2015 It was myself my mom and daughter. I ordered the Surf and Turf Monster burrito. ( it comes with shrimp, steak, beans, rice, cheese and chipotle sauce) I'm a shrimp lover so I asked the waitress "if I could have extra meat in the burrito" she says "yes, it will be an extra charge though" I was fine with that as long as they put the extra I paid for in there. She tells me that it will be $3.99 for the extra meat and also that the meat is already portioned out" ok got it. So I get my burrito we split it in half to share. Im eating away until about my 4th bite i realize all I'm chewing on now is JUST steak.... I decide to look deeper into the burrito to see if there are anymore shrimp in there and there AREN'T anymore. Well then I think maybe my mom got them all on her half. So I ask here " how many shrimp have you come across?" She replies " maybe 3 or 4" mind you the monster burrito is about 9 in. long. She digs a lil deeper into her burrito and no more shrimp. I take both our halves up to the counter to talk to the waitress and while im waiting to talk to her the manager comes out so I address my issue to him. I told him that I asked for extra meat and I don't think that I got it. I also told him that I only ate about 3 or 4 shrimp in my half and my mom says she had about the same amount. The manager then tells me that all of their meat is already portioned out and that he can guarantee that we got at least 6 shrimp because each shrimp item comes with 6 shrimp.. My response is " well then I should have had 12 shrimp since I asked for extra meat, right?" He says "no, because extra meat is just steak and not shrimp, if I wanted extra shrimp it was $4.99" WHO IN THE HELL GETS AN ITEM WITH 2 DIFFERENT MEATS AND ONLY WANTS ONE EXTRA!!!!! and why didn't the waitress make that clear. So Im no idiot I know steak (meat) shrimp ( seafood) but if im getting a burrito with both items and I say extra meat most people would assume I mean both and if they don't assume that then they should ask. The manager did not correct the situation and just made it seem like I was the one wrong... For that simple reason I will NOT becoming back. read more

My family and I decided to have dinner here tonight. Unfortunately, we received poor service. The lady who took our order didn't know what was on the menu and proceeded to tell ys that we couldn't order our meal. I had to read the menu board and tell here that indeed what we wanted was on the menu. I proceeded to placd my order and stressed that I wanted a plain taco with absolutely nothing on it. Well I guess I didn't stress it strongly enough because my food was covered with all the items I didn't want. My husband also stressed what he wanted and he didn't get it either. Well many moments later, his flour tortillas arrived only to discover that they were corn instead. Fedup, he asked for his money vack because after sn hour of waiting, he couldn't enjoy his meal. This was the grossest food I have eaten in a long time. I ordered the 5 rolled tacos and they were not made from scratch! They were frozen taquitos, deep fried. So GROSS! The sad part is that this place is expensive! If I wanted frozen taquitos, I would have gone to Winco and bought a whole box for the price of 5. Not worth the money, trust me! This place is hilariously terrible. I came in to eat dinner with my friends. As people ahead were ordering their meals, another lady came in and she was directed around me and my friends and her order was taken. I was the only black person in there. Immediately after that, I knew this restaurant was going to be awful. My friend ordered a surf and turf burrito, he paid. They informed him 3-5 minutes later they didn't have shrimp. How do you not know you don't have an item. When I finally got the chance to place my order I paid with a card and she looked at the receipt for the tip and yup I gave you a $0. The girl working the register acknowledged the $0 and looked at me. Here we go, bring on the terrible customer service. I ordered a monster chimichanga at 6:52pm, I got my food at 7:17. Every single person ahead of me and behind me got their food, ate it and had already left this "establishment"! My friends felt the need to offer me their monster burritos.. as they ordered 45 seconds ahead of me. Yes, I wish I could give you a 0 stars, I won't be returning here and I'll negatively refer your service any chance I get. Best experience ever. read more
