Food was delicious and big portions. The atmosphere was very lively. Staff was attentive even though very busy.

Food, drinks and service were amazing. Definitely pricey but the portions are HUGE so 100% worth it.

A dismal fail. Neither Tex-Mex nor authentic Mexican cuisine. I guess we thought Pancho Villa had an odd makeover but no. We were in a whole different joint. We ordered chicken chimichangas expecting a delicious deep fried indulgence that is a pretty standard entree at such establishments. What we got looked more like burrito suizo because it was a clearly baked burrito with moderate amount of melted cheese on top. No crunchy outside and nothing but a few beans, teeny bit of corn and lettuce and - I swear this sounds crazy but it's true - tiny minced chicken pieces, and a crap ton of rice. Some rice was crispy from the bake, most rice was not. Vaguely like Spanish Rice made into a burrito but way less flavorful than even that would be. Maybe an enchilada. Tasted no garlic, no cumin, no cilantro, some kind of unpleasant bland smoke flavor. Also on each plate a small dollop of guacamole, sour cream and a serviceable pico de gallo. I've made better grub drunk off my ass in college. The service was friendly but what's the point when the food is so flavorless? One bottle of beer each, 2 "Chimichangas"+ tip=$68. Money so better spent anywhere else. We miss the old Eat Street! Even the flooring is off. The same dark tile is throughout the restaurant even in the bathroom and it is weirdly slippery, almost greasy and it was not wet or recently cleaned Just literally tacky. Felt like I was gonna fall at any moment walking across and I only had the one cervesa! This place has a long way to go to call itself a Mexican restaurant or even a restaurant, let alone a Mexican Restaurante on Eat Street. Skip it often and always, trust me.

The food was very good. The problem was that the drink prices were out of control. We came during Happy Hour and it was supposed to be 2 for 1 pricing, and we were charged $14 for a shot of Don Julio and $5.99 for Cervesa Pacifico beer. So when the bill came, there was $28 charge for the Two shots and $5.99 for each beer. It was very misleading and they could of asked what type of shot you wanted instead of giving the most expensive one they offered. Expensive lesson to learn! Very upset and won't be back!!!!

I love this place, and the food is on par with a lot of Mexican food in California. Most recently, we went to celebrate a birthday. We go here because they are veggie friendly. We ordered the veggie enchiladas and I got a veggie wet burrito. Everything was delicious. My only complaint would be that things could be a bit saucier...but that's a preference thing and we get salsa on the side for it. We also got chips and guac -- delicious as well! I will say that the portions, especially the burrito are VERY generous. I think I should have shared it! It was pretty buzzy, which was great to see given the depths of winter we were in. Go here!!

It's a bit whitewashed and leans more Cal-Mex than anything you'd find in Mexico, but I'm not complaining. I love a good California burrito and asada fries, so this style has its place (especially in Minnesota). Service can be slow. It took us about an hour to get two burritos yesterday and the restaurant didn't look busy. Maybe they were just short staffed. My main issue is the salsa. They limit you to one packet per person, and it's not the slightest bit spicy. And where are the limes? This place desperately needs a salsa bar with real options and some heat. Bump up the salsa selection and stop rationing it, and this would be a solid spot. For now, I'll keep getting this to go and buying my own salsa and limes.

The fish taco was really good! I do wish they still had the nopales tacos :( Cherry marg was amazing, and im usually not a big fan of margaritas! Perfectly tart without being too sweet. Nachos were HUGE and layered really well - definitely needed for the entire table! When one of our drinks were forgotten, they gave us an extra to make up for it... which we really appreciated after the wait! Love u centro & especially your parking in the back!

We went at night, so the space was not as cute as in the day. Florescent lighting and was very cold because of all the windows everywhere, but I really liked the art on the wall of "make tacos, not walls." I was a little worried when I looked at the menu because there weren't many written vegetarian options (was gonna just get rice and beans), but was able to get a vegetarian quesadilla, so I assume that many of their options can be made veggie, if you ask. Food came out relatively quickly and they brought lots of salsa too, which was perfect because I almost always have to ask for more salsa at most places. The quesadilla was so good. The cheese they used was divine and so melty! Good combo of veggies in it too (peppers and onions and more that I can't remember right now oops). I also got the oreo cheesecake, which was DIVINE. I always forget how much I like cheesecake and this one was tastier than most. I loved the crunchy oreos too to add a little texture. Will definitely be coming again to try different things. Want to try their juices when it's a little warmer!

They are not serving alcohol anymore which is unfortunate to not be able to enjoy a margarita but they had a large mocktail list. We tried three different tacos (chicken, carne asada, and carnitas) and I loved being able to mix and match. The carne asada was probably my favorite but they all were swimming in oil. The skirt steak enchiladas were a standout and easily my favorite dish of the meal. The steak was tender, the portions were generous, and everything came together really well. The queso was rich and creamy, and the fresh guacamole was a great starter while we waited for our food. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal, and the overall atmosphere made it a really enjoyable place to spend the evening.

I started with their signature cocktail, the Naked Dani. It comes topped with a salty foam and a little rubber duck, which makes it a fun and memorable drink. For food, we ordered a variety of dishes to share. We started with the Crispy Masa Chips, and honestly, I would probably skip those next time. The portion was pretty small, they were a little awkward to eat, and they just didn't stand out flavor-wise. The Cucumber Watermelon Salad, on the other hand, was amazing. It was light and refreshing, making it the perfect addition to the meal. The roasted sweet potatoes were another favorite--they had so much flavor and were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Corn Elote Chipotle, which was absolutely delicious. I could have easily eaten the whole bowl myself. For tacos, we tried the Pork Carnitas, and they were fantastic. If you're dining with a larger group, you can even order a larger portion so everyone gets one. Our favorite dish of the night, though, was the Zubuton Asada. It only comes with one skewer and is definitely one of the pricier menu items, but it was worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly, incredibly flavorful, and easily the standout of the meal. We also tried the Chicken Thigh Pincho. It had a nice flavor but was spicier than I expected, so it's probably the one dish I would pass on during my next visit. Overall, we had such a fun dining experience. It's definitely more of a special occasion spot than somewhere I'd visit regularly because of the price, but everything from the atmosphere to most of the food made it feel well worth the splurge.

I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... : Xochitl In Love : La Clandestina : Tuna Tostada : Chicken Tinga Tostada : Seared Scallops : Tlayuda : Colita Old Fashioned : Lamb Barbacoa Tacos : Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!
