Really impressed with the marinated meats. The asada was tender and flavorful, and the chicken was just as good. Definitely coming back.

Amazing carne asada at a reasonable price. Easy parking, and the butchers are super friendly behind the counter. Nostalgic ambiance with the variety offered. We got hot food to go, it was super yummy. Everyone enjoyed lunch.

Los Toros brought their A-game! Went down the street to get some Los Toros tacos, since they had a special going on tonight. Had pollo, al pastor, and asada, and had zero expectations, so it would be a surprise either way. No regrets with this decision, and here's why: 1-The pollo was the softest, tenderest chicken I have EVER had! A light flavor of chicken was present, but that is the general idea; let the add-ons help flavor the chicken. Combined with a touch of chile verde sauce, guac sauce, and a bit of onion, it was worth having. Soft and pretty much melts like cotton candy; combined with the sauces and such, this chicken is worth getting! 2-The carne asada was perfect. A good quality meat minced nicely, and each piece was tender with a solid meaty flavor. Not overly salted or sauced like some places, but a clear choice for 'just' meat. Even on its own, it is very good. Again, it carries a tender quality that nearly melts in your mouth. Again, the accoutrements only added to the meat and made for a great taco. 3-The al pastor had a great flavor combined with the tenderness similar to both the carne asada and the pollo. Although I preferred the al pastor over the other two, it was by the slimmest of margins. Yes, this is the kind of quality of meat and taco that demands a return visit, if not, multiple! 4-The accoutrements were standard with any taco place, but they were abundant and of uniquely flavorful quality. The limes were nice and tangy, cilantro and onions were good, but let's talk about the sauces. The chile verde sauce was a unique kind of hot. Not entirely 'hot' hot, but the burn was very memorable. It was a slow burn that really takes it's time to spread across the mouth, but not to worry. It does have a good flavor behind it, which is very rare to find a flavorful green sauce that has a slight burn. The guac sauce is good and very mild, but again, is intentional as it adds a slight creaminess to the meat as to add some moisture. NOT to say the meat was dry; it was tender and juicy, but the addition of the guac sauce adds to the texture and flavor that only helps bring out the meat's flavor. The carrots and onions had a solid burn, but slightly higher than the green sauce. They added a nice toothiness to each bite. The service was wonderful. The two young men behind the counter were fast and efficient, and even asked if I wanted all the tacos separate or all in one plate. That kind of courtesy is a rare find, but it is definitely here! Just know that this service was outdoors and is genuinely take-out. They do have a market inside the store if you want to grab anything else to go with these incredible tacos. The ambiance comes with the territory, but do not let it deter you from enjoying quality cooking and a real culinary treat. They also had lengua (tongue) and cabeza (head) meat as well. I will try that later, but again, any of the three meats today are solid winners. Thank you for a memorable meal, Los Toros; you are another hidden gem in the SGV!

Super expensive but good. Make sure you ask them to pass it through the tenderizing machine
    Edith A.

Meat to grill is super expensive. I went on Tuesday and it was $11.99 a pound. If you really want to get it, it is worth it. If you plan to grill it make sure you have the prepare it, it's already marinating they add more juice. And make sure you ask them to pass it through their machine. It tenderizes the meat and cooks faster and not chewy. A little tip.... when you get it home, put meat in a big container where it fits and add a little beer. I also add more of my seasoning salt. Delicious Their marinated chicken is also delicious

What is the carne asada price per pound?

Do you guys sell pork cheek or jowl? If so, how much do you sell it for?

We do not have pork cheek or jowl. We do carry pork snout at $2.59lb. What we could do is give us a call and place a special order for what you are looking for.

We were helped by the same employee many other reviewers have mentioned, and her customer service was rude and unprofessional. Because of this, my family will not be returning. We also noticed several concerning issues, including possible fire hazards, sanitation problems, and accessibility barriers that may not meet ADA standards. We hope the City of Rosemead takes a closer look to ensure the safety of customers. Success here will require a major shift: better treatment of employees and a complete overhaul of the current service standards. As it stands, service seems reserved only for the owners not customers.

I truly hope the woman at the front counter and the owners of this business read this someday,…read morebecause what happens in this store is more than "bad customer service." It is a complete failure of humanity, empathy, and basic respect. Every single time customers walk into this store, they are met with the same cold, dismissive, bitter attitude from the woman working the front. She talks down to people. She ignores questions. She refuses to help. She treats customers the very people keeping this business alive like they are beneath her. The attitude is so nasty and so unnecessary that you walk out feeling smaller than when you walked in. What's even worse is that this behavior doesn't stop with younger customers it is directed at elders, disabled people, and anyone who needs a little extra assistance. I've seen older customers struggle to walk, struggle to use a cart or walker, struggle to simply move through the store because the aisles are so tight that two people cannot even pass each other at the same time. And instead of showing compassion, she tells them, "Go find it yourself." No sympathy. No patience. No basic human kindness. The store itself reflects that same lack of care: * Aisles so cramped it's unsafe, especially for those with disabilities or mobility issues. * Flies around the meat area. * Food-handling that mixes raw meat with cooked foods. * Parking that is chaotic and miserable. * A store layout that makes customers feel unwelcome from the moment they enter. None of these are small issues. They are signs of a place that has stopped caring. And to the woman at the front: if you ever come across this review, I hope you truly take a moment to reflect. Look at the way you speak to people. Look at the way you dismiss elders and those who are struggling. Look at the way your attitude makes people feel unwanted, unwelcome, and disrespected. This review is not written out of anger it is written so that maybe, just maybe, you will take a step back and realize that the world does not revolve around you. Customer service is not about being perfect, but it IS about treating people with dignity, decency, and empathy. Those cost you nothing. Right now, every corner of this store from the cramped aisles to the cold attitude at the front shows a complete lack of compassion. If zero stars were an option, this place would get exactly that. Not because people expect perfection, but because customers deserve at least a little humanity.

My friend and I went with the Supreme menu so we could try some of their premium and limited items. The standout for me was definitely the A5 Wagyu shabu shabu prepared tableside by our server. The marbling on the beef was beautiful and it cooked in seconds. They served it over rice with egg and it completely melted in your mouth. Another thing I liked was the variety of specialty salts they offer for dipping sauces. The garlic salt was easily my favorite and paired really well with the meats. For appetizers we tried the calamari, veggies, sushi, and hand rolls. The salmon was fresh and thick cut, and the crispy nori on the hand rolls added a nice texture. Surprisingly, the spicy tonkotsu ramen was also really solid. The broth had good flavor, noodles were firm, and the smaller portion size made it easy to enjoy alongside all the BBQ. Overall the meats were nicely marbled, service was attentive, and the whole experience felt worth it. Definitely a great spot if you're craving quality Japanese BBQ in the SGV area.
