I noticed that they had completely topped the tree in his front yard and I assumed that they were completely taking the tree out however, they left the trunk of the tree standing without a canopy. I went back to work before noticing them doing the same to a tree in the backyard. I stopped the workers and asked what they were doing and why? They pretended not hear me or understand my questions and continued working. I contacted the homeowner asking if he was aware that the contractor was completely topping his trees. He stated that they had been hired to clear the undergrowth however, they notified him that the tree was split down the middle and needed to be addressed. He does not live in the area and authorized them to do what was necessary to address the problem. It appears that he is being taken for a ride since the solution to a cracked limb is not to completely top the canopy of two different trees. To be clear I did not request these services however, the homeowner did not request the services that were delivered. Munoz Tree Service is taking advantage of his geographic separation from the property to perform additional unneeded work that is ultimately going to kill these trees. Furthermore, it is clear they do not have any skills or training is best practices for tree trimming as topping a trees canopy is not recommended as a technique for tree trimming. Buyer beware.

We had a large oak tree in our front yard that was in desperate need of trimming since many of the branches were touching the roof and hanging low to the ground. Martin, who is the business owner, came to our home and explained to me in detail what was needed. Instead of lopping off large branches, (which is what I would've done) he instead sculpted the tree where the interior was opened up allowing for better growth. After 2 1/2 hours of cutting and trimming, our large oak looked well manicured with no branches near the roof. Martin and his assistant cleaned up every twig and even painted over the trimmed areas. You can call or email Martin for quotes, but he has no physical address. We were quoted $380 for the job and hauling away the branches which was very reasonable. Will use again.
