Dingy little place with no appeal at all. Went there thinking it would be a fun inviting place only to be greeted by a non friendly waitress. Asked to be seated at a booth and was given a lame excuse that the booths were only for parties of 5 or more. We were only 4 and were not allowed to use a booth. It was a Thursday night, after 11pm, the place was more than half empty and the two empty booths remained available thru the entire time we were there. No other restaurant has ever denied a booth ~ The food was mediocre ~ I can get better Colombian food at a gas station! Asked for water and they do not even sell bottled water! We were 4 and we are still waiting for the 4th set of utensils. Service was really the worst. I had friends visiting from out of town and we were looking for a unique Miami restaurant that was open late. Los Verdes fit the bill. They are open on Fridays and Saturdays until 3am. There's also not many places in the US you can get authentic Colombian/Venezuelan fast food. Everything on their menu is delicious and made fresh to order. My favorites are the cachapas, tostones rellenas, burgers and shakes. Even the french fries are tasty. Also you can't forget the house sauces including pink, garlic aioli, cilantro and apple sauce. There isn't much of an alcohol selection. Only beer options. I wished they also offered wine and maybe even spiked milkshakes. Especially since at night this location can be popping. It gets so busy there's a wait and can almost look like a club inside. The staff is used to serving Spanish clientele so not all of the servers speak English well, but it's only a minor barrier to incredible fast food. read more

I went here with my husband and my youngest son. It was absolutely amazing! Me and hubby had the Hawaiian burger and my son had the double hot dog plain cause he is a picky eater. The hamburgers were delicious. The mix of ham and pineapple with the beef was incredible. The hot dog even though it was plain was delicious. The sauces they had were also great and complimented the food well. I specially loved the pineapple sauce. The ambience was very relaxing and hip. The service was also really good. Extremely disappointed in the service. We had a really poor experience here. When we first arrived, there were three of us. Our server took our order but then never really checked back, never refilled drinks, and when we finished eating, they didn't come by with the check. We sat there for quite a while waiting. Eventually, four of our friends showed up and sat with us. A different server came over and took care of them. Once the new group had already finished eating the new lady brought our check separately -- and to our surprise, they had automatically added a large group gratuity to the bill. This didn't make any sense because our original service only covered three people, which is below the restaurant's stated minimum for adding automatic gratuity. The extra four people had a completely different server! It felt unfair and dishonest to lump us all together for the tip, especially after being ignored most of the time we were there. Overall, the service was unorganized, inattentive, and the automatic gratuity charge was not justified. Definitely won't be coming back after this experience. read more

This spot is open late night! Who doesn't love that?! We walked in and were asked to sit at a table right in the middle by the door. We noticed an open booth and asked to switch there instead. It was a bit awkward between the servers when we asked for the booth. Not sure what that was about? Yet we still sat at the booth. The server took our order and read back the menu which was a smart way to keep organized. We ordered a picada to start. Which brings pieces of hotdog, French fries, papa criolla, and pork belly. It was great! I love how each table already has the signature sauces so you can put as much as you want. My table all had maicitos dfrnt kinds. The only issue with the visit is that one of the people in my party received the wrong order. Which was odd bc the server read back what we had ordered. I thought it was funny that the server asked "are you sure?" As if she wasn't going to know what she ordered exactly. I thought it was neat when I checked in I get a 15% percent off my bill. But the server seemed perplexed by it. He even took my phone to verify with the manager. That was odd. Regardless of those tiny mishaps the food was delish! Great place for a late night snack in Miami Lakes - Open until 4 AM - It's located in strip mall with limited parking, which tends to only be a challenge in the daytime. The ambience was great considering it was late Monday night. They serve authentic Colombian goodies including hot dogs, maicitos and patacones. The restaurant was clean, the service was timely and friendly, and the food tasted pretty good this time bc this place can be a hit or a miss. I had the Steak Perro and it was delicious BUT with hardly any steak on it. I told the waiter and he replied the portions are according to the manager's guidelines. Although, he did agree with me that the portion was small, but he stated he could not do anything about it. Rip off. What a shame, I won't be returning bc of the small portions. The cheese tequeños were good and juicy. The pink, pineapple and cilantro sauces are very flavorful too. I used to be a FAN of this place, but quality and portions have declined over time. My family and I went to Los Verdes and I had high expectations for the food when we got in there I guess one of the employees was arguing with someone in one of the tables we didn't mind though. Anyways we sat down, and I ordered a milkshake and a barbacoa burger with a side of fries. The milkshake was bussing but the burger felt like if someone took it out of the fridge microwaved it and put lays on it and called it a day it was that bad. I didn't order dessert because it was that bad I had to hold in my vomit. 1 star never eating this again would rather eat a cup of ramen than that dog poop. I come to the post office a lo near here and frequently drive past. So I popped in. The place is located right on the main road, but inside a shopping complex so there is plenty of parking. You can sit in or outside. I chose to sit outside due to the covid, a nice patio although it is very noisy due to the zooming past outside. Pleasant staff, and the order came out within ten minutes as they said it would and was fresh and obviously just made. I ordered the cheese quisadilla - which was pleasant enough. It definitely had plenbty of cheese! I liked the fact that they gave me all the sauces to dip it into, Green sauce, the pink sauce and a very sweet pineapple one. They asked me if I wanted sour cream and guacamole - I said yes - this is an extra price I think. The guacamole I don't think is made fresh there as it was in a small sealed container, and was not the best imo. (I much prefer my own!!!) I did like the crunchy chip topping that was on my food though, which added a nice texture. The sixe is big and was too much for me, I could not finish it all. I simply ordered a hot dog with ONLY potatoes chips, ketchup, and mustard.I received my order on time and as I was leaving I happen to check that my order was correct and it wasn't, they had given me a hot dog with all of the condiments. I then had to drive back to get my correct order, the staff seemed friendly and confident in giving me the correct order this time therefore I did not check the order before leaving. When I get home i see that it is still not what I had asked for. There was bacon and cheese that did not look appetizing at all. This restaurant should stop doing deliveries or taking orders for delivery. There's always something wrong with the orders: they send wrong items, missing items. I don't understand how Uber Eats works with you when your personnel is so irresponsible and inefficient. Today I ordered a chocolate milkshake and a 5 piece cheese sticks thru UberEats and the driver only gave me the cheese sticks (but 3 instead of 5). The milkshake never arrived. I called the restaurant and the guy on the phone just said they would call me and hung up on me. End of Story: they did NOTHING, I called lile 10 times and they disconnected the line. Los verdes used to be the spot good portions for the price your paying but a few days ago i came back into town from college and noticed the portions were wayyyy smaller than before and yet the price was the same. The quesadillas have nothing in them at this point your paying almost 10 dollars for 2 pieces of chicken. i tried giving it a second chance as it's the closest to me but every time they simply did not get any better. Yesterday I went to the doral los verdes yesterday and i noticed how different and better los verdes used to be up until a few months ago. they (the doral los verdes) have the portions that correlate well to the price. I wont be coming back until they portion the way they used to. The quesadillas are empty and it's simply not worth 10 dollars here anymore. I'd rather bust the drive and receive my money's worth.The picture attached are from the los verdes in doral. definitely what i HAVE NOT SEEN in the MIAMI LAKES los verdes in months. The food is delicious, Colombian all the way, although I do recommend coming with an empty stomach because this food will definitely fill you to the brim. It's arguably greasy but it doesn't look like it: you'll feel it after you're done eating. My hubs and my cousins ordered the arepas with a side of guacamole and turns out the guacamole wasn't homemade which sucked. Terrible service and food. Waited over 45 min for two burgers ans we saw people get their food before us. The burgers were cold and they came wrong. We ordered medium well and they were well done, and really hard to chew on. We waited so long we lost our appetite. I ordered mine with bacon and it only brought TWO BITS of bacon.
