Looking for a quick place to grab a bite with our dog. Found Pepito's, with outside seating. At first is a bit confusing, because it's connected to a gas station and a coffee shop, but park on the back and you will find the entrance. You go in, place your order, and wait to be called to pick up. They have speakers outside so you can grab a table while you wait. The menu is very latin, cachapas, arepas, chicharron, tacos, tostones... but they also have burgers and hotdogs. I had the Cheese Cachapa with chicken, and chicharron. The Chicharron was perfectly fried and, and the cachapa was delicious, especially with the nata sauce. Portions are generous so we had leftovers. Service is informal, don't expect a warm and friendly welcome, think more fast-food personality, but they get the job done. So, a great place for a quick stop with good food. read more

We were in Doral for the morning and had our dog along. With a bit of searching I found this place that looked like it had plenty of character, and good food. Pepito's. The outside area to eat was perfect. When we arrived we got a table in the shade and took turns watching the dog and going in to order lunch. I walked into a place that just was Doral. Or as the side of their delivery van said, "Doralzuela". It was a good think my Spanish is passable, ordering was all in Spanish. I got the special hotdog, and the arepa con queso. My gal got the chicharron and cachapa de queso y pollo. The latter was the overall winner. The cachapa was excellent, but so was the layered hotdog and the chicharron was exceptional. I've been going to this place for years and the food continues to be outstanding at a great price with lots of outdoor seating. One of my complaints stands with the service and workers unfortunately. The employees primarily only speak Spanish which may just be a Miami thing but as a non Spanish speaker who wanted to make modifications to her meal due to allergies this was a bit frustrating. I ended up just having to choose a different food option which while still delicious not what I wanted. I also wish there was inside seating options especially in the hot summer where it's unbearable to be outside. Again, I still love this place but it would be great to make modifications and ask questions and get answers instead of blank stares. read more

I've been to their Brickell location for a late-night bite but this one is the main one and even though it's smaller, it's incredible to see how big the Venezuelan community is! We ordered 2 Original Hot dogs and a Veggie Hot Dog! I love this place has some good veggie options! Now, when the lady asked you if you want it with everything, she means to add to your hotdog, on top of it, string potato chips, parmesan cheese, some coleslaw, ketchup, and mayo. And definitely, the potato chips take the hot dog to another level!!! Soooo good! We also ordered a side of amazing potato chips! Across the cashier, you will find a Sauce Bar! While I thought the food did taste delicious the fact that I saw that my order was MP for Market Price I thought was super weird. For the price that I paid for this I think the portion should have been greater. If the steak was from grassfed beef and the chicken was organic free range maybe it would have been worth it but the fact that the steak is Angus should not be considered a Market Price item. This definitely takes the cake for one of the most unique food places in South Florida. On first inspection, it looks like an ordinary gas station; the hustle of cars filling up crowds the area. Until you look a little closer and see the arepa station on the far corner. Pictures of all types of arepas staring you in the stomach. And then you see the other window selling entrees as well. And then the one in the back selling hotdogs and burgers. And you go inside and you can even buy Cebiche. Cebiche at a gas station my friends. That is a first. I have to vouch heavily for the arepa corner because they make a mean reina pepiada. This is a chicken based quesadilla with a lot of cilantro. Which makes it all the better. I also tried the Venezuelan fast food that they have in the back, but I didn't think anything of it. The food was just what you order: nothing worse or better than your expectations. To throw salt in the wound, they are cash only which is a bummer for those who survive off the plastic. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside.
