Be warned. Could not get orders right. The food that came to our table was undercooked or seemed like it had been setting around for days. This is the place you want to come when you want to be squished in like sardines with no possible way of social distancing during a pandemic. This might not be an issue for some, but I took issue with it. Limited masks were worn by patrons and they really were maximizing their space to their advantage. I feel that there should have been some regard to the situation considering the White House just basically told the govenor to issue a required state-wide mask mandate. Now that I am off that horse, there really is no other place to dine at in Sweetwater, Tennessee. There are some fast food places, but things are very limited and my friend and I wanted Mexican food. I obliged her despite my reservations upon stepping foot inside of Los Zacatecanos. Service and food were supreme. I really liked their consistency with checking in when they did. They missed no beat to check in on the patrons who were dining in. There was even a salsa station where you could pick out your own variety of salsa. I did not partake since I didn't want to do that, but the server was kind of enough to get me some salsa from the back that was being served on the portable salsa bar. Like I said, my problem doesn't exist with the service or food, it was the blatant disregard for safe social distancing. There was no space between anyone. Went here thinking it would be a great, small, hole In the wall type of place that is super good. We were very disappointed. There were flies and gnats and all kinds of bugs everywhere inside and ontop of that the food was not very good. Just kind of acceptable I guess. The service was fast, but just not worth it. We drove out to the lost sea adventure and decided we were hungry after. This is a small yet cute restaurant. We ordered the appetizer platter, my husband thought we needed an extra quesadilla since we were sharing. My goodness the amount of food on this platter would have been enough!! Stumbling across this little hidden gem we decided to stop and check it out with all the good reviews it has! To start, the sweet tea here is excellent, nice and sweet. The salsa is really good. You don't get very much to start but there is more on the salsa bar which has all sorts of different salsas. I did try the jalapeno salsa, its a little spicy hot!!! But, good flavor. The older mexican lady really does work hard at keeping salsa on the table. I can't help but empty each bowl as it is so good!! Ohhh myyyyy!!! My fajita chicken chimichanga is soooooooo good!!! It has onions, green peppers and chunks of fajita chicken in it!!! Yummmm! My daughter loved her quesadilla said it was delicious. The waitress here even asked us if we wanted drinks to go. With so many great reviews I was stunned to find out their hard-shell tacos were store bought. Just like Taco Bell, no shredded beef either. Just ground hamburger spiced up. Nothing authentic about this at all. Their red sauce was bland and almost transparent over my burrito. I learned in Tennessee they label their hottest hot sauce hot, don't inspect it to be inferno. Mild at best. So back on the hunt to find an authentic Mexican restaurant that reminds me of home. read more

Randomly stopped while traveling and we needed a snack. Wish we were hungrier because I wanted to order more. We just got a beer and choriqueso and tried ALL OF THE AMAZING SALSAS from the salsa bar!! Holy moly! I had a hard time not asking if I could take the whole bar of salsa with me. Every single one was delicious but some were super spicy so beware if you aren't a fan of heat. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in sweetwater. We go about once a week. Doesn't look like much on the outside, as it's a metal building with no character... but the inside is decorated pretty good. Parking lot doesn't hold many cars, so people bank is usually the overflow area. There is a small bar area, maybe 4 seats at most. The food is good and portions are decent. We never leave there hungry. Only downside is that they charge a little extra if you pay with a CC, but that is advertised so there shouldn't be a surprise. read more

We are in town visiting our son in law while he is in the area for work and wanted something different from most of the local places offer. We were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The salsa bar had a great selection and my wife loved their "blue drink," which is an awesome Hawaiian rum drink. Stopped in for some dinner a few hours after the eclipse today. We were a group of 5. We tried several of the options off of the salsa bar. I got some kind of fajitas with chicken, beef, shrimp, zucchini, and broccoli. The combination was amazing. One of my friends had a fajita salad which was disappointing. The salad didn't even reach the top of the tortilla. However when we asked about it the waitress very willingly brought her additional lettuce. On a whole I'll say that the food was above average and pretty authentic. read more

This is the goto Mexican Resturant. The food is alway good no matter what you get, they really know how to cook it. The meal portions are bigger than the other Mexican restaurants (more food) the staff is wonderfully friendly and best of all it's the cheapest of the Mexican restaurants around here. Real Mexican cuisine at decent prices! The chips and salsa are wonderful as is the whole menu. My fav is the chicken fajita quesadilla with fresh jalapeños. Yum! Some cons would be the size and atmosphere but they are supposed to move a mile south sometime this month.
