This was my first time visiting this winery and I loved it! The folks who worked there were very welcoming! The tasting was very reasonably priced at only $5. I loved the Wedge White! It was a very easy drinking wine - not too dry and not too sweet! We ordered a bottle and sat out at a patio table in the grass near the vines to enjoy the picnic we brought along. We love this vineyard. It is especially peaceful and relaxing in the fall. It's a fantastic place to unwind outside on the hillside and admire the scenery (the foliage!) ... There are so many good things about this place. Not only are most of the wines exceptional in quality, they are reasonably priced. Also, the tastings are DONE RIGHT. First and foremost, they let you CHOOSE whichever of the wines YOU want to try! That's right - they give you the list and you can choose whichever five your heart desires. Or, if you're with a special friend, you can try them all by just sharing your glass. You get to try a few extra varieties this way and a bit more wine per sample - it's a great deal! Just make sure you bring your patience! They do get very busy and often have a wait list going. Just relax on the couches, check out the art vendors, etc. It's only a few minutes anyway, but since it feels so very charming it will blow right by. read more

Great location, nice relaxing facility. My wife and I enjoy sitting out on the deck enjoying a bottle of their Riesling with one of their cheese platters. Inside, it's a tasting room with an art museum with many nice pieces from local artists. Outside, a large deck with seating, a large grassy area with some seating, could use a few more outdoor tables but plenty of room to lay down a picnic blanket. Towards the back there are pens with pigs and horses. One of the most relaxing stops on the wine trail but I may be a bit bias as it's also only around the corner from my home. Most of the other wine trail stops, I seem to rush through to make way to the next. I always want to sit and relax at Lost Acres. read more

Wonderful spot to enjoy a glass or a two and take in the view of the vineyard. We enjoyed the farmer's market on Thursday night and got ourselves some yummy goat cheese and kale! The owner's and staff are super friendly and personable. Chairs and lawn games in the back and a big lovely deck to relax. If you are lucky the horses will be out too! We love the Rock Wall Red and Fire House Red. Other favs are the Apple and Wedge White! Love them all! read more

Oh vineyard season! This is an amazing spot to settle in with a nice packed lunch and a great bottle of wine. Lost Acres provides wide open space and a quiet, relaxing spot to spend the afternoon with your friends. There is a bit of indoor seating, but you'll definitely want to head out to the big porch or lawn to enjoy your afternoon. They do have a decent amount of lawn chairs and a couple of tables on the grass, but if you have a big party you'll definitely want to bring your own chairs. It would also be a great spot for a picnic blanket, as the grass is well kept and the field is pretty flat. The staff was very helpful when we were trying to pick a bottle of wine. They'll ask you a few questions to explain what type of wine you like or what you're looking for. Then they'll give you several options until you find what's just right for you. We were looking for a dry white wine, and ended up choosing the Clemons Springs which was perfect for us! The wine tastings are only $7 for 5 wines to taste plus their signature glass. You can also get a great bottle of wine for about $14-$20. It was such a beautiful day out that we ended up losing track of time on the green fields outside. There were also a few parties going on in the field and it's definitely an ideal spot for an outdoor party since there's so much open space. Beautiful little vineyard tucked away in the heart of Granby. They have a gorgeous inside, porch and field with games in it right near the vines. I've been driving past this vineyard for a few years now and I had no idea it even existed! They need much bigger signs :) I stumbled upon this place with my mother last weekend and we decided to stop in for a tasting. The tastings were $7 for five different wines along with a souvenir glass. We tried a variety of the reds and whites. While I'm typically a red wine drinker, I actually thought their whites were tastier. This place is great and has a small indoor tasting/seating area along with local art. It also has a porch with tables and a lawn area with tables. You can bring your own picnic, get a glass or an entire bottle, and just hang out on the lawn for the afternoon. This is an amazing diamond in the rough!! Nestled in the middle of gorgeous country side in CT worth every mile it takes to get here!! Wine tasting is inexpensive and you get a complimentary glass. The cheese platters are accompanied by fresh herbs from their garden. Horses in the back drop, grapes hanging fry vines look fake they're so perfect. The owners are gracious and chatted with pride of their accomplishment of turning an over grown apple orchard to this beautiful vineyard. A+++ read more

Most of their wines are estate..of their own grown grapes...the tasting room is comfortable and roomy, the amount of outdoor seating is substantial and comfortable whether you want sun or shade. Try the Wedge white and the Red Rock Red for nice white/red options. Great little winery, price points on bottles were excellent. Live music when we arrived we very good, and a antipasto platter was great for the $16.00 price. The reason for 3 stars was the staff, the young lady who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and very sweet. However, as they were closing the other wait staff becalmed very rude and pushy trying to get us to leave. We had paid for our wine and antipasto and wanted to finish peacefully and enjoy the night but they were very rude and kept trying to have us leave and asking us to go. 3 stars because of this and we won't be back. read more

If I could give zero stars, then I would. I know CT wines are nothing spectacular, but there are plenty of other great vineyards here in my home state. My husband and I visited prior to Christmas. Servers were sweethearts, but the owners were an entirely different story. Please do some research and visit the great vineyards of Connecticut. read more

This is a beautiful vineyard with nice indoor and outdoor spaces and great wines. The only reason I gave them a 3 star rating is that the entire fireplace area was taken over by a family with small children. I feel that a vineyard is a place for adults to relax ... and it's hard to do that when there are crying babies and toddlers running around. What a gem! My friend from western mass took me here for a tasting and some good wine. Down a back road, tucked in between the mass border and northwestern CT we pulled up to a red barn with a sprawling vineyard in the background. I guess this is their 2nd season in business, and they are doing a terrific job. The old barn that has been refurbished and brings a rustic and homey feel, and the porch outside overlooking the vineyard.... well that was my highlight of the day! The tastings are $6, and you are given full descriptions on laminated menus, where you select up to 5 that you wish to taste. The bottles run from about $13-$17, and range from a crisp wedge white, to an Earthy Merlot. They've done a great job involving the local community as well. When we visited, they had some great artwork done by local high school students displayed. There was also a "spa day" taking place with massage's being offered. **Note: they do take credit cards, but no AMEX** I cannot wait to go back! read more

Only thing that bothered me is the dog that wonders around the room. Looks like an older dog, barked at me each time I walked in. Did that to several other guests as well while I was there. Cute and cozy little vineyard/farm nestled far back in the hills of northern CT. This is by far the most relaxing vineyard on the CT wine trail and residents of Mass can also easily visit. Love the casual atmosphere and friendly staff. The ladies in the tasting room genuinely appear to like what they do and can tell you a lot about the wine. Tastings are $7 and include a free glass to take home! Couldn't be better. We sat for an hour and a half near the vines at the cutest little table watching two pretty horses nearby and enjoyed a tasty cheese plate with all sorts of yummy fruit and crackers. The motherly woman who prepared and served us was a doll! The goat cheese was out of this world. What is more, when we asked how and where we could buy more of just the cheese, she directed us. Although very busy, cleaning up tables and delivering food, she took the time to tell us where the goat farm was and we made that our next stop! Her directions were perfect and we also had a nice experience there buying milk and cheese. So nice to see local farms supporting one another. Will definitely visit again. read more
