This is terribel business! *************************** Unprofessional Work and Broken Promises - Avoid CR SocalPaints I hired CR SocalPaints (operated by Celestino "Tino") to paint the baseboards and trim in my home, and it was a highly disappointing and frustrating experience. Before hiring Tino, I had already done the extensive prep work of sanding and priming the first floor myself. Tino assured me he would complete the job properly. Instead, he cut major corners and was untruthful about the work performed: Downstairs: He claimed he applied two full coats of paint. In reality, he applied only one thin coat of semi-gloss, leaving behind terrible, heavy brush ridges and a highly textured, unprofessional finish. Upstairs: He claimed his team hadn't started upstairs yet. However, they had secretly gone up and applied a single coat of semi-gloss directly onto unprimed trim surfaces. Because they completely skipped the primer stage, the fresh paint has zero adhesion and peeled right off the baseboards like a sticker when painters tape was removed. Property Damage: Because of the rushed single coats and improper taping, fresh paint peeled off to the bare wood along the bottom edges, and dried paint drips were left pooling at the floor line. When I reached out to confront him about these issues, I got nowhere. We ended up having to buy an electric sander, re-sand his entire messy job, patch the peeled areas, and re-prime/re-paint the house ourselves to fix his mistakes.

Calls and texts from us -- and even from their own subcontractors -- frequently went unanswered. We were rarely informed when workers would arrive, and there were days with no communication at all. This occurred the day before Thanksgiving, which made the lack of communication and scheduling clarity especially disruptive. The subcontractors themselves were professional and did good work, but they repeatedly told us they were unable to reach Bill and were unclear on scheduling and materials. Due to the prolonged delays, lack of communication, and disruption to our work schedules, we requested a billing adjustment. No response was provided until after work stopped, and we continued to wait for a corrected invoice. The project was never formally closed out. No final walkthrough or inspection occurred, and excess materials were left in our home. Payment was made for the work performed to date, and the remaining balance was disputed in writing due to these unresolved issues. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company and encourage others to review details carefully before hiring.
