Visited for the first time last weekend and was pleasantly surprised! Nice big and clean facility with indoor and outdoor space. I was really surprised by how many different ciders they have available! I enjoyed most of the 7 or so that I tried. What I didn't like was more a matter or preference than the drink itself being not good. Wingman is probably my favorite so far. They don't have food so bring whatever snacks you want or they will let you order delivery from other places. We brought cards with us and played for a few hours. It looked like they had a few games available there for you to use. Staff was very helpful and very pleasant as well. Went here this passed weekend for drinks with some friends. This is the perfect place to just sit and enjoy some cider. They have a great sitting area, and a very good selection of ciders to choose from. We had a tasting of four different ciders, the price wasn't too bad. Although there was no food to order they do have a food truck close by, and there are a few restaurants just around the corner where you can get food and bring it inside with you. This left is without a solution, days before a planned celebration. Why coordinate in advance if they aren't reliable enough to fill commitments? Like the place but didn't like the cider. I have loved cider for almost a decade and got a taste for it in London. I was really excited when lost boy cider moved to Alexandria. I even follow them on Instagram. However upon going there I was really disappointed by how the cider tasted. I got a flight maybe the wrong one, but it was all pretty bad and I had trouble choking it down. It seemed they were more focused on creating exotic flavors or combinations rather than focusing on taste. On the bright side I really liked the venue. My friend invited me to the newly opened Lost Boy Cider for an after work drink. We both are Northern Virginians who do not always want to trek into DC on a weeknight. A new place with a fun concept seemed to do the trick. The Cider-y​​ is located at the end of a shopping plaza. The majority of the spaces in front of it are dedicated to another business and I presume they have more dedicated parking in another part of the lot but I got lucky and parked right in front. Upon walking in I saw essentially a warehouse: a vast open space, exceptionally high ceilings, lots of tables and a beautiful bar with a varnished wood top-- really I loved that wood and I suppose the area where they made the cider in the back, cornered off with metal grating. There were tons of fans blowing inside and it was a pretty muggy day when I went so the air was slightly moist. Not unbearable but I did have to remove my work blazer. I selected a seat at the counter and was surprised to see many families here. I look up and see children's cider offering on the chalk board menu placed on the wall. Pro Tip: Family friendly! The owner greeted me and asked if I knew what I wanted. I said it was my first visit and I didn't see any menus around and she walked me through their offerings. They have various ciders predominantly made of apples but some other raspberry and pineapple varieties. To begin, I selected their Slushie while I waited on a friend. I was forewarned that it would be sweet and boy was it. I was expecting something more subtle like a Froze' but it was a true slushie. At this point I am FAMISHED having arrived from work. I asked about food and was told a food truck would be arriving later (and it did pull up to a door which allowed you to walk up and order from inside the cidery rather than leaving and going outside. I will have to review it separately but all in all it was a bland version of Dangerously Delicious Pies and very over priced -- think $14 for a teeny flat bread pizza. I would absolutely recommend more variety or honestly a different truck but maybe others like it). It would be nice to be able to have a picnic option like wineries have and bring your own food. If this is already an option I could not find it on the website nor did I see it posted anywhere but that would certainly change some things for me. My friend arrived and I tried to cider flight. The ciders themselves are good! Think framboise or pomme belgian lambic but less sweet. I tried all of the ciders except for the Pixie Dust which I was planning on ordering BUT guys-- they had to close early do to the fire alarms going off. :o( Excuse to return. They clearly are working out their grand opening kinks so I will not judge them for this. I cashed out in the parking lot and departed, not unhappy. While I was there I enjoyed it. I had never been to a cider location before but I was excited to try Lost Boy Cider after seeing some positive reviews for it. It has very limited hours only operating Thursday-Sunday and only open 4-9 on Friday's which was the day of the week we went. They had 8 flavors available and two flight options that each served four of the flavors so we got one of each flight and were able to try them all. The ciders themselves were fun to try, the flavors varied from pineapple, to strawberry Thai basil, to jalapeño so tasting them was a fun experience however we felt some of them still lacked in flavor despite the infusions. I enjoyed the atmosphere, very industrial looking, relying on the garage doors to be left open for air circulation but we went on a hot evening and the fans just were not enough to keep us cool. We ended up sweaty and our flights quickly got warm. This location would be better to visit in the fall. They don't serve food but a barbecue food truck was there when we went which seemed to be popular and some other people brought snacks with them. Side not it is a very dog friendly venue which was nice also! I don't know that we would go back but it was definitely fun to try, if looking for something to do in Alexandria I recommend stopping in if it's cool enough! read more

My girlfriend and I have been going to Lost Boy on a semi-regular basis since they first opened. While neither of us had previously been all that into cider, we both enjoy the interesting flavors they frequently have (though I do wish they would bring back the blackberry!). We have continued to go, albeit less frequently during COVID, but enjoy their outdoor seating area, especially since they have had a tent for the last month and a half or so. The most recent time we went, this past Saturday of 12/12, we had just gone for a hike, and decided to swing by for a cider on our way home. We sat outside in the semi covered tent, but were a little surprised to see a growing group that started out with 3 people, and continued to grow by 1-2 people as new folks arrived. They were in their late 20s/early 30s which is our age but clearly not taking social distancing seriously. It was also clear that this public get together they were having was not some sort of work outing, or anything like that, as every time new folks showed up, they were inevitably introduced to some members of the party they had not met before. By the time we were finishing up, the group had grown to 15-16 people, they had physically moved tables together, and several were standing around the perimeter of their area, as well as wandering around the tent without masks. As we left my girlfriend went to use the restroom, and on her way out mentioned to a staff member what was happening. Immediately the manager came down and dealt with the situation. We have always enjoyed Lost Boy, but were particularly happy to see how seriously they were taking the newest Covid regulations. We will continue to regularly frequent Lost Boy. read more

I've been wanting to try Lost Boy for the longest time and was really happy to hear that they offered curbside pickup for their cider during COVID times. It was a seamless operation! I placed my order online on the day of and headed to Lost Boy to pick up. When I arrived my order was ready and waiting, labeled with my name! I am a big fan of cider so when a friend told me about this place it was definitely worth checking it out. To me this is like a brewery but instead of beer it is a cider brewery. The space is huge in a warehouse type building and it is just a huge open space with tv's, games and fans to keep people cool. Pretty good cider! Mom and I came here for a few minutes on a Friday afternoon/evening and we liked the vibe. Open doors, perfect weather, nice people pouring.
