Good spot for a cold beer in Falls Church, I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was really cool inside! It's in a strip mall with the Bakeshop, which is how I stumbled across it. All the beers were great. The popcorn was a little stale but I think it's free. Good service, the staff were really friendly and super informative on beer options, you can tell they take pride in their work. Ample parking and seating inside and out.

Friendly local brewery that offers a wide variety of beers on tap. Everything is labeled by category (signs on top of the wall) so no guessing what's what and they offer flights if you can't decide what to try. They have a true wide variety, not just mostly IPAs and even have wine (not sure that they make that) if you're with a non-beer drinker. This friendly laid back place that also offers food (I haven't tried that yet) and free popcorn that I can confirm is tasty. They have trivia and other events here so check their schedule before you head over. This place isn't huge but they do a great job using the space they have. They're a staple of Falls Church after being here several years and I'll be back here again soon.

June 2025 update: Still loving Audacious. Their beer is so good and they always have a good variety to choose from. They are probably the most balanced local brewery I have ever been to. Their epic grilled cheese sandwiches still live up to their name as well. The staff is always friendly and the vibe is just chill. Will be back again soon! :-)

This is a great little brewery tucked in Falls Church. My husband and I came here for an event and really enjoyed some of their beers! They were busy due to the book event but the service was great all around!

Loved the choices of beer options. Their seltzer was amazing too. There aren't many food options other than sandwiches but you can bring your own food too.

Great beers and a huge selection. I was a huge fan of the Strawberry Milkshake IPA and the Peanut Butter Porter. Their Highway to Helles Lager was pretty good as well. Complimentary popcorn is always a good thing too. Trivia on Tuesday night is fun and they have some pretty competitive teams. The grilled cheese menu is good and they have decent apps. Overall pretty great spot.

Great neighborhood brewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. A variety of IPAs, seltzers, light beers and seasonal are sure to provide an option for anyone!

5 stars for the beer!!! They had a great selection of styles and all were well executed and flavorful! I recommend trying this place out if you are into craft beer but are tired of 99% IPA places Beers I tried and : Most excellent English strong ale (on nitro!) Highway to Helles Piave Italian Pilsner And a Schwarzbier that I can't remember the name of. All were "most excellent" Kitchen is small with just some snack type options -- grilled cheese could have had a little more meat but had good flavor -- and they give you free popcorn!

Stopped by audacious aleworks and it was an okay experience. The server was a little rude when I asked a question but my drink was really good!

No frills brewery that does an excellent job! I try to stop by a brewery whenever I travel, I had the pleasure of finding this one last time I was in DC. Definitely unassuming and kind of hard to find. I enjoyed the winter sour they had going on. Prices reasonable and service was fine.

Great local taproom that makes its own beers onsite. Their selection rotates based on availability with about a dozen and a half option on tap at any time. They also have a selection of brews they can onsite for take away. I'm not hip but that's how I'd describe the place's vibe. Any place that plays "Me First and the Gimme Gimmes" and similar music is worth a visit. I tried the Admiration oatmeal stout, Grabthar's Hammer imperial lager, and Dragon's Head Belgian ale. All are recommended, especially the dark options. They have a move-style popcorn maker and give it away free. My friends and I also had some soft pretzels, and the Sofia, Buffalo Brian, and Cabrese epic grilled cheese.

I really like the atmosphere and staff here. It was super comfortable to come here during Covid with the outside seating. I particularly liked the free (make you thirsty for beer) popcorn and the sandwiches. It's nice to have a little food at a brewery. Parking was a little difficult but there's plenty of street parking if the lot parking runs out.

The environment was an open industrial space with a low-key vibe (at least at this time). A handful of regulars were posted up at the bar. They had sports on the TVs in front and on the big screen in the back. There's a stack of board games in the corner. For the couple times I've been here, the bartender has always been very informative, walking me through the beers on tap without my asking. The beer list is solid, and I had to try the Raspberry Beret imperial stout - the flavor was unique and the raspberry very notable. If you're feeling brave, ask about the Sweet Scoville Sting. Seriously spicy, so make sure you taste it before committing. Beyond beer, there's wine, ready-to-drink margaritas and cocktails, and a robust food menu so something for everyone.

Each order comes as one large deboned piece of meat, which is then cut into bite-sized pieces--easy to eat by hand or with a fork. They're available in a variety of flavors. I ordered them dry and got several sauces on the side to mix things up. Highly recommend. Seating - The restaurant has a surprising amount of seating. There's just as much indoor seating as there is outdoor, and possibly even more inside thanks to the bar and high-top tables. It's a great spot to start your night, end your night, or enjoy happy hour with friends after work. Service - For a bar, I thought the service was really good. Multiple waiters checked in on us, and we never had to wait for water or anything else. The recommendations they gave were great, and they stayed attentive throughout the night--even though it was moderately busy when we went. Pro tip: Be prepared to sit inside if you're hoping for a meaningful conversation--the street noise outside is quite loud. Between the main thoroughfare and the neighboring restaurants in the same alcove, it can get pretty noisy. If you value good conversation, you'll definitely want to opt for indoor seating. Pro tip: There isn't much parking in the area, so give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes when planning your visit.

They also have two large coolers of canned beer, ciders, NA beer, NA beverages, and more that you can take with your or enjoy on site. There is a 40% discount for 6+ beers to go. This place has a large and established regular scene. They also have a Mug Club membership which gets you more beer per pour and some other perks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome outside. There's also several TVs for sports, and a ton of board and card games you can play. Jeff does a stellar job every Tuesday with trivia. There are themed trivia nights (Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc.) sometimes that tend to get PACKED. So if you're planning to go, plan ahead and go early. The kitchen staff rock and are efficient at getting food out quickly. Everything is cooked in an oven. The pretzel and beer cheese is very popular and yummy. The food overall is average, but Darren does a good job of rotating specials throughout the year. Some of my personal favorite items (note some are specials) : Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, BBQ chicken nachos, German brat, CBR flatbread + drunken onions and peppers, the Apple pie quesadilla and the Elvis dilla. If you're looking for an amazing sit down dinner, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for a great beer selection, awesome people, and a bite to eat this is definitely for you! We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group.
