This shop is by my house, I didn't have an appointment, they accept walk ins and I walked right in, the place is open they have a beautiful mural on the right wall, they have a couch while you wait, Lenny is walked up and I told him I wanted a tattoo and he did it right on the spot. The best tattoo artist and shop owner, James, designed my daughter and I matching tattoos. We got a symbolic tattoo of a Columbine flower which is a hearty flower that can withstand hardship. James understood how special it was for us to get the tattoos on the 6 month-a-versary of my daughter being hit by a car. She is a survivor! He took great care in drawing us the flower just perfectly and then he took his time placing it and tattooing it with a super fine needle. He made such precise lines and stunning shading, we just love it! His shop is decorated so cool with so much to look at with inspiration in every detail. Len is a supreme being. Full stop. He made a tattoo we had been thinking about for years come to life. It was inspired by lines from a Christopher Poindexter poem. It was not an easy task, but Len came through. The whole shop is amazing. You can get inked by literally anyone there - everyone works to the same caliber. But Len is my go to from now on. The staff was very friendly. I was a bit nervous because it was my first piercing but they were very reassuring. The piercing itself didn't hurt and it was a quick and easy process! I also got a little bag with a spray that would be used to clean my piercing. The only downside was that I made an appointment and I had to wait a good 40 minutes after my appointment to get my piercing done. read more

I went to Lost Lake a week after I went to another tattoo shop with my friends to get a septum piercing. Long story short, we all ended up getting pierced and I got a forward helix, the other piercer put in a surgical steel stud that was too small and it was irritated. I came here to consult with Rita and she was so kind and explained everything to me, including that the metal and size that I had in was not right. She walked me through what to do to take care of the piercing and jewelry I chose! She changed what I had out and put in high quality jewelry. I HIGHLY recommend this shop for customer service, piercings and their jewelry selection. For as long as I have my forward helix and need to get/change jewelry, I will be coming here! read more

Let me start by saying I've been to this shop 3 times already (3rd time was a mistake) for Tattoos and piercing . And let me tell you something.. TOTAL RIP OFF!!.. talking about oh because placing of the tattoo of because this because that. It was 5 super small letters okay... I was already there, and I wanted what I wanted, so I stayed. I was looking for a tattoo artist and my husband recommended his artist, I was skeptical because I wanted to find my own and shop around and I felt it was a tad bit far for me but WOW!!!! I couldn't have been HAPPIER for listening to him. The shop is spotless and frankly they are both amazing. Terrible experience for myself, and cancelled for my husband also. Total rip off for a nose piercing. They over charge for the jewelry and service. The jewelry is ridiculously marked up, with little options of different styles. They Make you purchase a saline spray through them. And on top of all this, you have to make an appointment for a piercing?! Since when? I've had multiple piercings and it's always a walk in! If you can't make your forced appointment, they only give you a 15 min grace period. Is this a dr office??? By the end of my piercing, I paid the same as buying a small tattoo. That's the scam. They must pay high rent for the place, to require a 25$ deposit for a piercing, and made me cancel because I would be 20 min late, and then charged my card 25$ for that!!! Worst experience in a tattoo shop for a piercing, my husband went someone where else and I won't ever be returning there and will tell everyone not to go. Oh and to top all that off, they close on a Friday night at 8 pm. What tattoo shop closes on a weekend at 8? read more

I had a nose piercing from another shop. The jewelry kept trying to come out. Finally it did and that tattoo shop told me they might not be able to put it back in if the hole closed; after 2 days! I went to The Lost Lake, JADEN my piercer was really nice and professional. She examined me to see if the piercing was closed; it wasn't. So she helped me select my replacement jewelry and installed it for me; I only felt a pinch -- a pinch! The shop is exceptionally clean and spotless, and the vibe is chill! Mannnnn... James is amazing! The most gentle, patient and kind tattoo artist. He sure knows how to make his customers feel welcomed. It was my first time getting a tattoo and it didn't really hurt as I thought it would. His skills are amazing. Shout out to James for making my first tattoo experience awesome, I went in to get my recent passing cat's paw print tattooed on me and a cat with a sheet over its head since I love Halloween. James made me laugh the entire time and really got my mind off the pain. He walked me through how to care for it after and really made my first tattoo way less stressful. The environment was so welcoming from the moment you walked in! It felt so clean and so nice. The staff is all very knowledgeable and Rita is absolutely amazing when it came to getting my nose pierced! She also helped me with fixing my belly piercing and knowledge on how to help it heal better! She was so sweet and made getting a piercing feel so simple and was gentle and took her time! I was referred here by a good friend. I am so glad I took the recommendation. I brought my daughter to get her first ear piercing she was nervous but the staff was super friendly and made sure she was at ease and explained everything with such great detail and patience. I went there to get piercings for the first time ever and I was excited and nervous. There are two piercers there Kristy and Rita. My piercings were done by Kristy and she did an amazing job. She was super nice and made me feel comfortable. She explained everything I needed to do to take care of my piercings. Super friendly staff, I felt very welcomed. They are following all CDC guidelines which made me feel very safe. Jimmy the shop owner took his time to draw up my tattoo design and I was very impressed with it. Within 30 min of arrival I was on the table. After a 2 hour session I am extremely Happy with my new art work. Very professional and I will definitely be coming here again. I recommend 100%!!! read more

Some of the negative reviews really worried me, but James didn't fail to impress me. he made sure i loved what i was putting on my body before he got to tattooing even if it meant playing around with the sketches and adjusting the placement a couple times. not to mention the pricing was more than reasonable, but remember you're also paying for quality. Everyone I've interacted with have been so amazing and sweet. I'm absolutely in love with Rita, she was very sweet and made my piercing a quick and painless experience [besides the obvious pain]. After being declined by another tattoo & piercing shop for the "wrong" anatomy, I was able to get my tongue pierced here! They did it in an amazing way that left me satisfied and my tongue correctly pierced. I couldn't describe how happy I am with my experience at Lost Lake Tattoo. When someone is spending their hard-earned money, they deserve to be treated with respect and have their concerns taken seriously. Customer service is just as important as the work being performed, especially with something permanent like a tattoo. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Major Ink Studios.
