Seems we always choose to visit here for break or a gas stop. Maybe that all important iced tea to-go as well. But, don't drink too much while hitting the backroads. Restrooms are few and far between. The staff at this store ALWAYS greets you when you walk in the door. Aisles and restrooms always are clean beyond expectations. Outside aside from the gas pumps you'll find ample parking for motorcycles as well as your car buddies. If your out driving the curves of Twisted Sisters; this should be on your list for an excellent pit stop.

The lady who took out orders was also the chef and it looked like she knew what she was doing. It came through in the food. The burger was really well done, pun intended. It came with heaps of mustard and mayo, ketchup was provided on the side. I wish the fires had more seasoning but they were satisfying nonetheless. The soda was kind of weak if I'm honest about it but it came with the food. Definitely a worthy burger stop.

You definitely see a lot of the old timers hanging out here at the table inside the store, and the employees are helpful and friendly. I almost knocked off a star, because the air compressor outside doesn't have a pressure gauge. The personalized service I get from the employees makes up for that.

The car was towed to Kico's and the team dove right in. They were able to diagnose that the issue was a bulge on the inside of the tire rubbing against the wheel well, and as next steps were being evaluated the tire blew. A new tire was acquired and put on the vehicle at a very reasonable rate, getting us back on the road before the end of our annual family reunion in Leakey. They stayed open extra hours to support our family, we are so grateful for the team at Kico's and highly recommend!

I got a couple different kinds of jerky including honey, teriyaki, hot beef, and peppered jerky. They were all really good but the honey was the best. I was eyeing the pickles and Tom, the cashier said the peppered pickle sticks were the best so I decided to try them. They are pretty dang spicy but they pack a lot of flavor. I am a big pickle fan and I would get these again.
