Bryan was a terrific fly fishing guide for our first time trip. I highly recommend him.

What a fun experience! Traveling from out of state, I wanted to have a little fishing on my trip…read morewithout having to bring any gear and not having to purchase a CO Fishing License. They have everything you need and it's so easy to just walk out and start fishing some stocked rainbows. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My gf and I visited on a very cold, windy February morning when they opened. It ended up just being the two of us on the ice and this was our first experience ice fishing (and it won't be our last). We had an amazing time and spent an hour exploring the different holes in the ice. The fish were hungry and I realized there was an absolute MONSTER rainbow in there. I was trying so hard to catch it. I hooked him up 3 different times and each time, it broke the line (I'm thinking the knots tied weren't legit fisherman's knots but whatever). I was obsessed trying to catch that massive fish but didn't come away with it. Still caught a personal best at 16'' while my bucket of fish and gear was blowing across the ice due to the wind. Everything is catch and keep, no releasing, so all fish will be brought back into the hut to be prepared. They'll clean the fish for you and if you aren't ready to take any fish filets with you, they'll happily donate them to people in need. Highly recommend visiting for beginners. Also recommend for experienced anglers who want a relaxed, fun environment. I WILL BE BACK TO CATCH THAT MONSTER.

Excellent experience…read more.. We were accommodated like we were family. The day we scheduled turned out to be windy, thirty MPH gusts. We called that morning and mentioned the forecast, they switched us to the next morning when conditions were close to perfect. No hassle, no hesitation. Our guide, Rob, was as friendly and professional as we could have hoped for. We had a great time conversing with him about all sorts of fishing and boating experiences we both enjoyed in the past. He was extremely helpful. He quickly figured out that my wife and I were experienced boaters... we volunteered to drive as he netted fish and put them in the live fish well. He had some great stories of outdoor adventures and we shared our experiences about surfing behind our boat in SC. We caught our limit and let a few smaller Trout free in exchange for some nice sized fish. Rob cleaned them for us since we are in a small RV with no real place to handle that chore. We left him with a nice tip and were thrilled to do so in return for the great time and service he provided. It's not a cheap trip... but the marina is closed and there would otherwise not be a chance to fish on this lake. Rob had snacks and drinks for us. He stopped off for a restroom break at my wife's request. We enjoyed the trip so much that after just two hours we called it done. Rob offered to fish another two hours, but we seriously felt that we had gotten our money's worth and headed back to our RV with four meals worth of Trout. This outfit is definitely first rate. If you want a great fishing experience this outfit will definitely deliver.

TLDR: I am a fly fishing beginner, by far the best fishing guide service I've used!…read more Sam Rubaker was my guide and he was incredibly professional and entertaining!!! Put me on the trout and I even completed the Slam and caught all 4 species of trout! Listen to your guide they are the pros! He asked if I wanted to go into the park or the private lakes and while RMNP would have been cool he was honest and said the fishing would not be that great with snow melt currently. Sam drive me so I didn't have to worry about where to go. He was extremely knowligable of the local wild life, not just fish, and gave me a lot of great information on the area. I HIGHLY recommend paying the extra money for a private tour. It was just Sam and I and wow was it great! Sam also was sure to take pictures while I fished so I could show off...... I mean have some memories. Sasquatch is incredibly affordable for a guided trip and all the staff I spoke to were great. All gear is provided! Depending on the time of year I was glad I wore jeans and thick ski socks. By the evening the water was very cold but with jeans and the thick socks, it barely felt like anything. Wear sunscreen or stop by the Sasquatch shop to get a sweet hooded long sleeve fishing shirt. They had a sale when I was here. Again I recommended a private guide, more fish and you get to have one on one attention to help with your technique!

RMNP is no exception and this is incredible and breathtaking. We came in late May and surprisingly plenty of snow left so you get this winter yet spring vibe. Weather report cold yet with the sun just perfect temperature for hiking. Plan ahead as they have time entry restrictions and even with those park is really busy but big enough to be able to get away from crowds. They have shuttles and the town of Estes is close enough for any amenities such as food that the park may not have. Can't wait to come back and explore other parts of the park.

We also drove around a bit and it was just dream like! There are sooo many elk! Drive slow and watch for wild life!! Hiking can be difficult even on the well maintained paths. Make sure you wear solid footwear! Take lots of pictures and know your cell phone service may not work inside the park. Always remember to carry out what you carry in! That includes things like banana peels and orange rinds! Don't leave anything behind! Enjoy this absolutely gorgeous national park!!
