    Tamales worth getting again!
    David C.

I heard about this place on Yelp. But the address doesn't really show the proper place for this business. I used the get directions options and ended up 5 miles away in a not so nice neighborhood on the complete opposite side of town. That was frustrating. I had to Google several ways to find the real address. And even then it wasn't easy to find. They should really update their own listing. You order at the counter. It was a nice range of options. With various sandwiches, appetizers, pizzas and other dishes. I settled on tamales as an appetizer and a personal size Kujo. I ordered a Bluff City beer as my beverage. I was told the beer would be delivered to the table and was given an order number to display at the table. The place was crowded. There literally was not a seat available in the place and I had to wait to get a lone seat at the end of the bar near the kitchen entrance. I got the tamales before my beer arrived and during this wait other customers repeatedly placed their dirty dishes in front of me on the bar. This seriously angered me as I was trying to enjoy my meal. When I complained to the staff about this they shrugged their shoulders. My beer took another 5 minutes to arrive and I had to remind the wait staff about it not having been delivered even though there was food on the table. The tamales were great. I have never had tamales that would draw me back to order them again. These were delicious. The pizza was good too. But the indifference of the staff and the rudeness of other customers made the experience miserable. I am only going to give the place another chance because the food was good. I just hope that staff realizes they shouldn't let other customers put their dirty plates on the bar in front of another customer. That wouldn't be allowed at a table. Just poor performance over all.

First time to try Lost Pizza Company and enjoyed it. You order at the entrance and then they bring it out to you. We got the Otis which was basically a meat lovers pizza. They definitely don't short you on toppings. We enjoyed the pizza and the crust a lot. The staff that worked there were super friendly as well. If you are a first responder, they do give a pretty good discount. Would happily try Lost Pizza again if I'm in the area that has a location. One bite everybody knows the rules!

I ordered spinach. Do you see any spinach?

I ordered a pizza. Well, it was a huge (lost). The audacity of them to send an almost frozen, stiff, pizza. Over $30.00 for a medium cold, little amount of toppings!! It's appalling. Unfortunately, Soulshine Pizza was not open. Also, I used Waiter. Aren't they supposed to check this??! This was my first time ordering from them. You would think they could have tried a little more??!! Anyway, I hate giving them a one star. sorry I don't know how to get rid of the cows!!'

I really like these pizza places. They are always tastefully decorated and reasonably fast. This particular location was really good and the woman behind the counter was extremely friendly. The pizza was fantastic and we got the Otis (I guess their version of the meatlovers). Also, at the end of our meal, they brought out some new possible dessert option they are thinking of adding to the menu. How cool is that?! I mean, who doesn't like dessert, especially free desert?!

No toppings on 1/3 of the pizza...

Tried for first time with high hopes. Ordered 15" pizza. The 1/3 of the pizza near the crust had no toppings. Posting pic. Very dry; did not use much sauce. Ordered meatball sub. Only four tiny meatballs served on a hotdog bun. Very disappointed in the food!

The deep dish is ok, not the best I've ever had but pretty good for MS .
    Tiffaby H.

Pretty good deep dish for MS., Especially since this is. The only place I've where I've found a true deep dish pizza in this state and area, I will order it again. The pizza crust was a little OVER cooked, almost burned... and I had to tell them to put the topping on top. So I assume from the conversation they have only been preparing deep dish pizza with meat only? We've had the regular lost pizzas and they weren't good enough to warrant a repeat visit. But the deep dish (which is OFF MENU) can only get better as they continue to learn how to prepare them.

We were seated quickly, as it was not super busy on a Saturday afternoon. Our server came quickly and took our drink orders and filled them quickly. She even handled our change of mind without a pause. Nice! Appetizer of Fried ravioli with Parmesan cheese sprinkled was nice and crunchy. Served with marinara sauce. Mom got the Chicken Parmigiana, layered over fettuccini. The portion was huge and quite crunchy, without being overcooked. The chicken was still tender and not dry but the flavor was just meh. It also was lacking in marinara sauce for the noodles. The star of the show was the 4 Train Remix pizza! It comes with Grade mozerella, grilled chicken, smoked gouda, pickled onions, roasted corn, chipotle bbq sauce and cilantro. I opted to add brisket to the 14" pie. Have mercy! The flavor!! The toppings worked so well together and the brisket just added another level of complexity. I would have preferred a slightly thicker crust since the oils tend to sog our the crust. It was a little messy to hold but that just added to the fun. We also tried the Nada Colada mocktail with Torani coconut, pineapple juice and ginger ale and it was really good.

Great Legos on display, a cool "game" vibe, and very friendly staff. The food was also really good. The chili cheese tots were excellent. The tots were crispy and the chili and cheese were delicious. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. The pizza was good and you can add extra pepperonis if you want, for $1. They have tons of board games and card games and even a few video games for people to play. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. They asked if we wanted water to go, and without asking, they brought a small to-go cup of lemons, since we had lemon with the water we had with our food. A very nice touch. It's an interesting place in the middle of Mississippi that is worth stopping at if you're passing through around lunch time.

While doing so I stumbled across this location and decided to give it a try. I was amused by all the nerdy decor so I decided to nerd out and have dinner while watching Star Trek. My waiter explain the menu to me when I told him it was my first visit and offered good suggestions on items I should try. He informed me that they have various nights where they have board games, movies, and other activities. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and pretzel bites. The food came out in a timely manner and was well prepared at a great temperature. Although the coleslaw was bland, you can tell it was freshly made. The pulled pork was a good portion and flavorful while the pretzel bites were fluffy and salty just like you would want them. As to my old fashioned, it tasted good, but they didn't include the traditional cherry for the old fashioned. I enjoyed this experience and the next time I'm in town I will visit for sure.

That thick, golden crust has the perfect balance of crisp edges and soft, airy chew in the middle. You can tell it is baked with intention. The cheese caramelizes along the sides, the sauce is bright without being overpowering, and every bite feels indulgent without tipping into heavy. It is hearty, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. Then there is the cheese bread, which deserves its own applause. Warm, gooey, and unapologetically cheesy, it hits that ideal sweet spot between pillowy dough and rich melted cheese. It is the kind of thing you plan to take home leftovers of and then mysteriously finish in the car. What really seals the deal, though, is the customer service. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy you are there. Orders come out with care, questions are answered with enthusiasm, and the whole experience feels relaxed and neighborly. You never feel rushed, just well taken care of. Poppy Pies fits Fondren perfectly. It is cozy, confident, and clearly made with love. Whether you are there for a full pizza night with the family or just grabbing cheese bread to treat yourself, it is absolutely worth the stop and very easy to crave again.
