Got scammed today!!! is my third time in this place sharping my blades. I was so excited to find a…read more1 inch blade. I specifically asked one of the employees if that would work for my clippers, he knew I am a barber and he was fixing my clippers(Andis supra ) sold me the blade and went to work the next day and doesn't work. I called Edge pro and they said for me to bring it so they can take a look at it. And then I find out that I need this is special little clip inside of my clippers to make that stupid Blade Works. It would make my job three times harder. So then I ask the manager if I could just return it because it would be useless for me. I try to cut it it would not cut he said because of a little bit of hair inside the package he would not be able to refund the money the manager Has no customer service completely ignore what I was saying it's not my fault that I was told the wrong thing. I never used the blade because it would not work. I tried, and it kept ripping peoples hairs off. $80 after I'm stuck with a blade that doesn't work I'm not gonna bash the the employees because they are amazing. My problem is with the manager. I am telling all my friends that is stylist to find someone else to go for there clippers.

The building that held the old shop has been torn down. Last time I was here, my purchases dabbled in gun-related tchotchkes. This time around, I returned to the Iowa Knife display case and received a friendly no-judgement tutorial on various fixed blade makers, their focus, and the resulting pieces work. It was a fascinating education, which ended with the purchase of a nice and well priced fixed tool steel knife with craft wood chef handle by Jason Clark of Ames. There were a couple more Iowa knives that caught my eye, but one budget-awakening purchase at a time. It was also hard to even look at the branded commercial knives after this trip through the Iowa case. But it will be a new day when I'm in town as early as next month, as it will feel that I'm looking at a whole new knife world at the Three Sisters Knife Company. Groundhog Day?

In the end we found out they hadn't even started on the sword. All it needed was new leather and wrap on the handle. I completely understand being busy and have sympathy for retail workers, but he originally told me it would be "2 weeks". Then another "2 weeks", then "i don't know" any time i asked after that. At least he was honest when he said he didn't know. He was very polite and apologetic about it though so i guess i'll put 4 stars instead of the 3 i was gonna give. Just don't expect fast work on personal requests pr orders.

We would talk to sales associates who were clueless and would subsequently sell us the wrong item. A case in point was some pie hinges for our new custom kitchen cabinets. When I finally was so frustrated with the home improvement stores, I walked into the Woodsmith Store and they knew immediately what I needed. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and actually seem to be woodworkers, not just clerks wandering aimlessly. While there I also visited the garden center and was awed by the selection and the knowledge of the staff. I will be back time and time again!!!

You don't even have to buy the block from them. The man who did the cut for both kids was awesome. He showed them after the cut how there are now grooves from the cuts they need to sandpaper off. He also showed us the different grades of sandpaper we needed to get it smooth. I love this place. Very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff.
