There is no communication, they do not warn you about price increases. You just find out when they charge your card. The staff is so rude I can't even believe it. I started paying cash to avoid all their silly fees, and today I walk in and all of a sudden no cash. We also had issues with them temporarily giving our storage spot away to make a quick buck off someone else and never told us until we took our travel trailer back and the spot was taken, keep in mind, I had already paid for the month. Again this was never communicated. Now they are also closed Sunday. The timeframe to get your stuff out of storage is crazy. This place only allows you to pick up/ drop off your boat/travel trailer when they are there. Which is a pain. They are a little cheaper but for better hours and more freedom just pay the little more else where. The manager is also crap. So good luck going to this place. Only giving a one star because that is the only way to leave a review.

Nice size dog play area and it was clean each time we went in. We saw no dog poo when walking through the campground. Lots of beautiful groomed open areas. Everything you need for shopping is nearby. I have stayed in vacation rental cabins in other locations, and they can be very hit or miss, but my cabin at this park was tops! It was spacious enough for 1-2 people, and it was very very clean. It had everything I needed to cook a meal, including a full size stove (with an oven!) and refrigerator. There were TVs in the living room and bedroom with many cable channel choices. The shower had awesome water pressure and plenty of hot water, and it was cleaner than most hotels I've stayed in. I also got to take advantage of some of the amenities. There is a lovely above-ground hot tub next to the pool area, and it was the perfect way to relax at the end of the day. I also was able to do all my laundry before going home in the laundry room, which was clean and HUGE! They even have a little library there if you're looking for some reading material during the stay. Again, service was top notch! Norma continues to be an amazing person, and her staff, including Eva and Chris, are really kind and always there to help if you need anything.

With the recent rains the creek was flowing and children were playing in the water. There is playground equipment for kids, there's a soccer field and the thing I was looking for the most, solitude. I would definitely bring my grandchildren here to burn off some energy. Now there was some trash on the ground but I don't fault the park for that. Some people are just pigs, there are trash cans right next to the picnic tables. You really can't miss them, but some people still do. There are also bbq grills next to the tables. The picnic tables are also spread out so you can have a little privacy while you enjoy the beauty of this park. Here's a little tip, your mother doesn't work here, clean your own trash up.

Nice local peaceful hike and you can picnic along the way as benches are scattered throughout.

This was my first visit to Government Canyon. I reserved my day pass, checked in at the entrance,…read moregot my pass, and we were on our way. We drove for a few minutes to a large parking lot. There were trailhead signs on either side and both were clearly marked. We decided to start with the Savannah Loop which is approximately 2.5 miles long. There are about eight differently trails of varying levels of intensity. The trail was clearly defined and well maintained. The signs make it easy to follow the trail and find your way around. There were quite a few hikers this morning, many with pets on leashes. Everyone was pretty friendly and courteous. The trail was very peaceful and very quiet for the most part. We didn't see much wildlife, but we found some lovely views. We will definitely come back for the other trails.

Definitely be prepared with lots of water and good comfy shoes! We did 11.5 miles! We were exhausted but saw some amazing birds, lots of wild flowers and cute families everywhere!
