Brenda & Josh were welcoming and a joy to chat with. All the sites are nice, many are shaded. There are concrete pads or gravel to choose from. We stayed a week and chose #79, XL site with a concrete pad. Serenely quiet. No traffic, trains, loud music, rude neighbors or highway sounds, only nature. All sites were clean & uncluttered for folks with extended stays. It's a large property with many areas to walk & explore. Laundry room and bathhouses were very clean. Nice size dog play area and it was clean each time we went in. We saw no dog poo when walking through the campground. Lots of beautiful groomed open areas. Everything you need for shopping is nearby. Don't miss the Alamo or the Riverwalk. We would definitely stay here again. read more

If you like a country setting away from the loud city areas, this is the place. The only downfall is the quarter mile long dirt road entry that really could use a lot of repairs - lots of small to medium holes throughout. Our RV & AJeep were covered with dirt by the time we left. Other than that - we enjoyed the Hidden Valley RV Park so much last year that we came back again this year. You won't meet nicer people. Teri is wonderful. They go out of their way to make you comfortable & happy while there. The front sites are cheaper, but aren't quite as roomy, plus they're on gravel, not cement pads. We like the back area sites for our 42 ft motorhome. They're roomy, have cement pads and there is a nice big open field across from them. You just have to watch out for some of the wild animals who live in the trees behind it. They also have a nice big dog park that our two dogs loved to run & play in. The park managers are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet. We hope we can come back again next year. Thank you to Teri & family for making us feel at home there. My wife and I stayed here for 6-nights while attending my youngest son's 4-day graduation event from US Air Force Basic Military Training. It was a very nice stay. The campground is located in an almost secluded area outside of San Antonio, actually in a little town called Von Ormy - very, very rural. The campground itself appears to be comprised of two parts - one portion is dedicated to what appears to be folks who are full-time campers, living in their campers year-round (or so it seemed to us.) A separate area, quite a bit detached, appears reserved for those weekend campers (such as us.) Both areas were kept quite clean and though the sites appeared a bit tighter than I would like, the service from the owners was absolutely top-notch. My only other nit was the gravel road used as the entry and exit-way to the campground - I was not very fond of it and found it quite aggravating at times. Speaking of the customer service, the owner was very accommodating to our requests, let us practically have two sites for the price of one, and even help keep our costs down by charging us for seven nights (at the seven-night rate) which ended up being $20 cheaper than paying for six individual nights - customer service like I said was superb. If you're ever in central TX and looking for a place to camp, relax, and still have big city amenities within 20-minutes drive, this is the place to go. read more

We have enjoyed our month at Hidden Valley RV Park. It is very convenient to everything that is exciting about visiting San Antonio. Once it is time to to head "home" for the day the rural setting is quiet except for the singing birds. The park manager is very friendly and helpful. read more

You do have to take a dirt road to the park but when you get there the hospitality was refreshing after a long drive. The park is a quite little oasis with a little river running through. We were parked towards the back by the little river a beautiful place to sit a spell and enjoy the peace of nature. My husband and I only spent the night but it was restful. What a lovely RV park. I am a travel RN so therefore I stay at many parks across the US. The owner Teri and her daughter were a delight I stayed the week here while working and I would come back again. Full laundry room (coin only) clean park with a lot of trees and a creek! I love that it is a secluded property but still close to market, gas and activities . Quick ride into San Antonio, check out the River walk cruise. read more

A short stay here left me with a very positive impression. I heartily recommend Benjamin's Kitchen (Mexican food) which is a long but doable walk from the park. Very good wifi, nice people, pleasant surroundings. FOUR stars. The "roll over the stars" does not work reliably. read more

Nice park. Very open and off the highway. Ladies at the front office were very helpful and extremely nice. Seems like a real family atmosphere. Stayed here for a week to watch my daughter graduate from Lackland AFB. Was close enough to get back and forth pretty easy. Only draw back I had was the mosquitos. Ended up with over 10 bites even though I was extremely cautious. I even travel with a bug zapper and that baby was murdering the all night long. Couldn't enjoy the outside for too much. Not really fond of bugs. But other than that it was a great experience and will end up returning. read more
