Huge sites. But upon arrival we had two piles of fire ants in our site. A quick call to the office and they came out to spray them. Hopefully that will keep them away for our 4 night stay. Also the 30 amp pedestal was not working. Another call to the office and the maintenance guy said that a lot of 30 amps are not currently working. Luckily I have a 30/50 dog bone adapter. It's a nice campground, but needs some maintenance. We would stay here again. read more

If I could give it 0 stars for their customer service I would. Years ago I rented from here & was simply wanting to have a redo. New owners & when she didn't even just finish what I was explaining, front desk just cut you off & hang up on you. It would have taken a few seconds to let me finish my sentence & then say ok thank you. If you simply do not want or can't give nice customer service at the front end, just find someone else to answer for you. So it's simple if you do come here...and need service expect a B....i have encounter rude ppl but not these ppl. It takes a lot for me to let someone bother me. Is a 55 and older RV resort located next to golf course. Great clubhouse that encourages puzzling. Pool and hot tub overlooking golf course and huge covered open air seating with comfortable outdoor furniture. A little wind damage broke our sites glass table and when we reported it they quickly cleaned up and replaced with another table. Is dog friendly And very clean. People do take care of waste. read more

Overall this was a Five Star, I am no golfer, but if I were, I would say this is the best RV resort around the Castroville area for the avid swinger! it's very hard to believe that this resort is already 8 to 9 years old. If I had not known differently, I would have sworn it was only two or three years old at most The grounds are meticulously kept and well manicured. The concrete road and pads are a super plus! Although, there are a few subpar strokes, which I must mention: My visit was a week long during their off-season in late May when they say all the "snowbirds" are up north. So, as my luck would have it, the weather was unseasonably hot! Fortunately, I, for the most part, love the Texas heat, especially when there's a pool nearby. That was a most welcoming relief, especially in the later afternoon and early evening hours during my stay. The adjoining hot tub also made for an interesting and relaxing pool experience. The main problem, however, I have with the pool is there are no showers. I've never heard of this anywhere else that I've been that has a pool-I actually thought it was some sort of law or rule that there has to be at least an outside shower with which to wash off all the sweat and suntan oils and so-forth before getting in the pool. It's also nice to have a shower to rinse off all the chlorine from your skin when you're finished swimming. Now, there is a restroom in the clubhouse nearby, but again no showers. The only showers for the entire resort are clear at the opposite end of the park and in my opinion, they are quite Spartan. There's only one private shower and the other two-there is no private changing area. So, if you're changing clothes or drying off and someone happens to open the door at the wrong time, well, let's just say your a$$ets are going to be visible to anyone who might be walking by. One thing I will note here, is that the showers, laundry room, and other restrooms at the clubhouse are all very clean. Now, as for the clubhouse, this is one of the biggest disappointments, Although being very nice(it once served as the golf course's restaurant and bar). It was only open for one day a week Tuesday evening from around 5:30pm to around 8 PM for a game night and a potluck. I also learned that there is no way to use or option even to rent this room out should you want to get together with other guests or friends for some fun activities - most disappointing. Additionally, there is a communal library and a very well done exercise room in the main office area above the clubhouse, but unfortunately these are only open during regular business hours so if you're a night owl who likes to work out late, or grab a book or DVD for a midnight read or viewing, forget it. Again, I don't want to give the wrong impression by the above list of cons;, although these were annoying, they are far outweighed by the pros. No significant handicaps here-pun intended, My overall experience at Alsatian RV resort was very pleasant and delightful. The staff and crew here are all in my opinion, very polite, courteous, and respectful. I saw where some other Yelpers have taken issue with a few of the staff, but I had no such problems at all during my weeklong stay. In fact I mentioned to the staff about a problem with the water backflow preventer that was leaking, and it got fixed nearly immediately. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to stay for any length of time, whether to just relax or play a few holes on the adjacent Alsatian golf course(I was told you can tee off right from the clubhouse), or to check out the other sites and events in town, this is the perfect place in my opinion, and the rates are very reasonable given the amenities offered. I'm certain that I will probably stay here again in the future and maybe even do a longer stay.. I'm hoping that enough people will encourage the management to make the clubhouse and it's amenities more accessible as well as adding showers in the clubhouse bathrooms-or at the very least installing an outside shower for the pool. One final parting shot, there is a list of several vendors in the area who support the RV community one of which I noted was being utilized by a neighboring Camper was a RV wash service I thought that was a nice touch and a perfect putt. read more

Do not reserve casita site 103 = From Inside RV No view of course=just a tree view. Take pictures of all on & in Casita upon arrival & report even minor things like a dent in Grill hood OR they charge $100 for a dent on grill that you did NOT do. No dog park NO working jacuzzi since fall 2021, we stayed there 7/2022 & still not working. No tennis or pickelball courts. NO restaurant & No affiliation with Golf course= no discounts. Some unfriendly Full timers on site 101, beware of walking in front their RV. No cycling path/country 2 lane road into park. Do not call front desk for help on burners not working on grill = do not care , only care if propane tank full. We will not be back as they charged us $100 for dent on grill cover that we Did Not Do. read more

My only con was that the lady that took us in seemed to be irritated that we booked after hours for that same night but we figured if it wasn't allowed, it would not have allowed us to complete the reservation. We even called the after hours number as instructed but they did not answer because they were in the office and left the phone in their trailer. That being said... Nice wide roads within the campground. Love the idea of a table and chairs instead of the usual picnic table. Campsite was pretty dark tho (at least where our campsite was), but that didn't bother us none. It was nice to sit out and be able to see the beautiful night sky and all it's stars. The pool was big and the facilities were up to date. The sites and landscaping were extremely well maintained and pristine, so much that it kinda made it feel as if it were brand new. Definitely would stay here again, especially if you want some quiet and an unobstructed view of the sky and all its stars. read more

Being a local resident from Castroville and wanting to support your own towns RV resort was the biggest mistake. Our second day we were approached by the night "manager Curt" who thinks his shit don't stink comes attacking me in front of my 6 year old and 2 daughters. I come home from work in the evening to my wife and kids in the pool with dinner, again first time staying here and first time going to the pool and last time staying here. I just sat down to start making plates for my kids and out of no where here comes huckle berry "night manager Curt" coming at me in an aggressive manner telling me I need to get rid of my food because food because it's not allowed down at the pool. First of all he didn't even introduce himselfas the manger. I thought it was a joke or something. The sign says no food in the pool not no food by the pool. Then he threatens me in front of my kids asking me what sight I am staying at and profiles me asking me if I'm from Texas. I don't know who this guy is and now I have to protect my 3 kids and wife from this creep coming at me aggressively as if he wanted to fight me. He has no customer ethics and is a total loser with a power trip attacking and intimidating customers. This is our first time rv'ing and I did not know there's a regulation in the state of Texas saying food is not allowed in the pool. We were by the pool not in the pool. He could've just asked us "sir, ma'am" I'm the night manager for this resort and there is no food allowed down by the pool do you mind picking up your food. But no he comes at me as if I was doing it on purpose when it was totally innocent from us not knowing there are regulations in the state of Texas not allowing to eat food on tables provided by the resort. We've stayed at 2 other resorts and we were never told anything. Anyway STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESORT!! He also threatened me by telling me we will no longer be welcomed here. The front desk ladies are also very unprofessional and rude ladies, they think we're here to serve them. No customer service what's so ever. It's to bad that this nice resort has such poor customer service with no ethics or empathy to customers. STAY AWAY!!! You have been warned!! read more

We are giving this a 5 because it is an RV Resort golf course Pool Spa reasonably priced fine dining not very far from San Antonio beautiful part very very manicured the Prices range from if you want to be a back in by the fence to having a yard trees and pots and plants provided it's just really a very very nice resort and surprisingly though the price was very reasonable. The little town of Castroville that it's located in is a fun little down to drive around I highly recommend going to a Whataburger but mostly go to Willy's in San Antonio the best fried chickens we ate the whole trip but otherwise back to the park I would stay there again wouldn't hesitate. Absolutely stunning. This is probably one of best RV parks I've stayed at, and I have traveled the entire country for a year, so I've seen a lot of parks. Every spot is concrete, so leveling is a snap. Right next to the golf course, and set back from the more traveled roads, so you don't get hardly any road noise from anywhere. There is also a great restaurant connected to the main office called Julianna's, which I have reviewed as well. The only thing this park is missing is trees. read more

The resort has great potential but the restaurant is not on the premises, there is no umbrellas at pool for shade, and at the time we visited it was infested with scorpions. We stayed 5 nights and 6 days in the cabin and our room was never cleaned and never given fresh linens. read more

We returned each year to Alastatian and I could never say enough good things about the park. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions we were forced to cancel our annual reservation and Alastatian would not refund our deposit. Poor form. read more

We stayed here for almost 3 weeks in February. Everything about this RV park is top notch. We stayed in a casita and our friends were in a pull through. The entire park was spotless and well groomed. The wifi was not fast but it was adequate and always worked. Verizon phones always had 4 plus bars. The public restrooms and showers were huge and the laundry was adequate. The office was always manned with helpful folks and the staff was available to add propane to our motorhome when needed. The restaurant is Julianna's and was the best surprise of the stay. It is simply superb. Also next door to a well groomed golf course however we didn't play this trip. I have no negatives of any kind. read more

We've stayed for one month we're supposed to stay for 2 months. Unfortunately, it was very noisy near the road. Before we came we asked them about his road but they told us not noisy only peoples playing golf using this road which was a lie. We advised them 4 times that we 're leaving after one month. They charge us a month and a half and hold on my first deposit. we stayed 26 days and they charge us 45 days!!! thieves......Janet, July, and Jenny in office are not honest.No pool no spa no bicycle place to ride. This resort has great potential to be a top quality resort. However, we were in the rear section of the park and the 3 sites behind us were "residences", like a mobile home park, for local families. Between the 3, I counted 8 small children, toddler to elementary school age. The sites were cluttered with bikes,scooters,coolers, even wooden stairs/porch into the rv's. It was noisy and the rodeway was filled with children. Like living in a playground, not a resort. Dog park is along a dirt trail through scrub. The warning from the desk was to be careful of poisonous snakes, scorpions and feral hogs. Wow. We never even attempted to use the dog park. Still a newer park with nice facilites. Just need to correct the aforementioned. read more

Mike, Janet and the staff are great and make you feel very welcome. The restaurant has great food and the golf course next door is a fun track. What a fabulous resort ! Truly upscale. The bathrooms /showers have granite countertops and beautiful tile on the walls The common areas - -pool, office, pavilion -- are really nice ! Restaurant on site ! Lots are huge - with beautiful green grass and blooming shrubs. Motorhomes can rent the sites that have a casita - including an outdoor kitchen and gorgeous views of the beautiful golf course. If you golf this is a wonderful place for you to visit - and lots of history and old historical homes/buildings to see. There isn't much for kids to do except enjoy the pool. But if you golf -- or just enjoy relaxing, reading - enjoy the facilities. Very affordable for what you get. They even have a spa where you can get massage and get your nails done. And the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The manager had my husband backed into our site in very short order - and then returned with two nice relax chairs and a small table for our site. Remember it is out in the hill country - so you will have to be alert if you go off onto trails ("things" you will find anywhere in Texas). They offered AARP and Good Sam discounts -- perhaps others too. read more

Drove in from San Antonio for a weekend getaway and had a great time. Resort is first rate with all the amenities you would expect at a resort. Work out room is modern and looks out over the golf course. Full spa service for the wife to get her nails done while I'm downstairs in the full bar with large screen tv watching NFL playoffs. Last night we were in the hot tub with full bar service looking at a sky full of stars. If you are in the area and looking for a great RV experience look no further. I will be back! read more
