I am a fan. Great BBQ. My wife and i loved it. We had just left the shooting range and this was a perfect way to top off the evening. Really good food and the staff was friendly and attentive. We go the sliced brisket (+$2) that was really tasty, the pulled pork and a huge sausage. Everything here seemed reasonable for the price and quantity we got. I only wish they had more seating. If you are looking for homemade meat and veggies this is a great place. We enjoyed the pulled pork, sliced brisket along with beans and green beans cooked with bacon. If you have a sweet tooth get the peach cobbler muffins with whipped cream. It was all delicious! read more

Being a Southern boy having traveled all over N.America playing music,drinking,and eating BBQ what a crazy thing to find this little joint with great BBQ in Northern UT. Oh but wait this story starts 25 or so yrs ago when I was passing through UT and had some of the best BBQ in my life at this little place in Huntsville UT. That place was in a little log building and was called the Lost Texan. I remember talking to the guy that was there about Texas because I use to live in Houston and I believe he had too at one time or had family there something like that. We talked and I asked him if he wanted a whiskey he said sure so he feed me and over a bottle of Jack and the next few hrs we became friends. I even got a black shirt with a Cowboy on it that said Lost Texan on it I wore that shirt many a night. I stopped in once a few yrs later only to find the Lost Texan no longer. So fast forward to last week hear I am in Ogden asking my friend where to get so BBQ not expecting much SAZAM!! I am standing in the Lost Texan. I asked if the Owners were in but they were not sorry I could not share the story or see if in fact it was my old friend that was running the place. I think his name was James remember this was 92 or 93 not sure but do remember the cutest little girl there quite the charmer and she was his neice I think. So anyway as was the last time I ate at the Lost Texan the food was Great!! I had ribs and brisket,very tasty sorry I had to wait 25 years to come back!! read more

I've been here multiple times. A good friend introduced me to this little place. It's got great BBQ food. If you are traveling on the freeway it's an easy on off and much better than fast food places. The meat is slow cooked to perfection and just waiting for you to discover it's deliciousness. They have multiple BBQ sauces that have proven to be fantastic. This is good food. They take all major credit cards. The owners are on site to ensure quality. Their twice mashed potatoes are one of my favorites. I also enjoy the pulled pork and sliced brisket. They have seating to sit and enjoy your food or you can get it to go. Either way you won't leave hungry. Simply a great place to eat. Love it! read more

Stopped here for lunch today with my family. Initially we were skeptical because we're from Texas, but it was some of the most delicious BBQ I've ever had. It's the real deal here. We live fairly close by and had passed this place many times and finally decided to try it out. We loved it. My husband and I both had the sliced brisket. I had the hot BBQ sauce and it was great! Tried this place because it had 5 stars . Very disappointed . My husband had the Sliced Brisket sandwich for 7.99. Two small thin slices of brisket and bland beans for his side. I had chopped brisket and also very boring bland potato salad . Buns were very soggy ! If your going to survive in this business you need to give better portion sizes . If felt like we were eating a kids meal ! Also 4 people standing behind us saw the small portions we were getting and turned and walked out . Won't be coming back . read more

We eat regularly at Lost Texan and love it. Chopped brisket, sliced brisket, pulled pork, quarter chickens, sausage, and ribs on the weekend are all phenomenal. The sides really set Lost Texan apart from other BBQ joints in the area. Their sauces are homemade and are great. read more

I am a Texas girl and to find authentic Texas barbeque is hard to do unless you are in Texas. I loved the brisket sandwich and the Texas beans and potatoe salad. My hubsand had the ribs and sausage.
