I recently stopped by Lost Texan BBQ and was seriously impressed. I ordered the smoked meatloaf and it was incredible -- moist, soft, and unbelievably juicy. You can tell it was smoked with care because the flavor went all the way through. My sister ordered the 3 tacos and tried the chopped brisket, shredded chicken, and pulled pork. Every single one was delicious. One thing we thought was really unique is that they pickle their toppings in-house, which adds a really fresh, tangy flavor that makes the tacos stand out. So . . . I'm a vegetarian most of the time. One morning as I was waiting for the train at Pleasant View Station an irresistible aroma grabbed hold of me and just didn't let go. It was the Lost Texan BBQ smoker. The smell occupied my mind all day at work and when I returned to Pleasant View Station that evening I had to try it. I checked my vegetarianism at the door and had the most delicious BBQ chicken sandwich in the universe. Now I go there about once a week. My favorite sauce is the Carolina Mild and I'm still deciding on my favorite sides. Solid. Can't recommend it enough. Go there. read more

Excellent service with excellent food. It is rare to find a business that values quality and authenticity and actually performs to those values. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and there really isn't a bad choice on the menu (take it from someone who really has tried EVERYTHING). This place is worth the extra 5 minute drive (or in my case 30) for a texan styled treat. Must try for anyone who loves bbq. Gluten free options are always a plus as well.
