Lostocco DOES NOT pick up recycling in New Fairfield, much less comply with "single stream" as required by the town. Their excuse...people were complaining because their workers kept spilling trash on customers property. How did they fix it? By requiring customers to separate and bag all recyclables. That is not "single stream" which allows for commingling of ALL recyclables. Not very helpful or accommodating to their customers either. Can't wait for NF to implement town wide garbage pick up. read more

Completely unprofessional customer service that will not respond back to you. Out of pettiness they didn't pick up our trash after I submitted a complaint about their services. Disgusting business. read more

I'm not quite sure what company these other reviews were talking about but it can't be lostocco. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences the ladies that answer the phone regardless of who are always helpful friendly and understanding. They've even picked up my trash when I was behind worked with me. Awesome customer service read more

The lady who answers the phone for customers is extremely rude. She needs an attitude adjustment. Also whenever I go to collect my can in the morning there are garbage bags left on the ground around the pail. read more

This is the worst services we've experienced in Danbury. They never picked up on schedule days. Should've listen to my neighbors, you get what you pay!Guess they was right for a cheaper price guess we got cheaper service! This company was expected at my house today to deliver a dumpster !!! Four phone calls later after my husband and son took the day off to redo flooring in our home they say AFTER they took our money at the last hour they are booked and can't get there. What kind of rebuitable company does this??? They say it will arrive tomorrow 7am. Fingers crossed they will do the right thing and show up. read more

My parents recently rented a dumpster from Lostocco to clear their house of unwanted clutter in preparation to put their house on the market. The dumpster was dropped off on Tuesday and the scheduled pick up was for Thursday. Since it was supposed to be icy on Thursday, my parents called to see if the dumpster could be picked up on an earlier day. Unfortunately, the company was unable to. Thursday's weather was icy as predicted. Lostocco did not come on Thursday nor did they call. The dumpster remained all of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Sunday, my parent's realtor showed their house to prospective buyers with the giant eyesore of a dumpster in front of their house. On Monday, around noon, I arrived at my parent's house only to find the dumpster still sitting there. I asked my parents when the dumpster was supposed to be picked up, they replied that they didn't know. Upset, I called Lostocco's number. Liz called me back and proceeded to tell me that an employee had sustained injuries when their company tried to pick up another dumpster on Thursday where the driveway had been icy. An unfortunate event, but why were my parents not notified of the delay in pick up of their dumpster? Liz never once apologized for the delay and lack of communication regarding it. Liz's response to my frustration was, "I told your parents that we would call before we picked up the dumpster". So the dumpster could have sat in their driveway another week for all they knew. After expressing to Liz that their communication was disappointing and that I would post this review, the dumpster did get picked up quickly. Lostocco, I recommend that you please work with your customer service representatives. An apology goes a long way when you haven't met your customer's expectations. Also, if you're able to, record an automated message to send to your customers when you're experiencing delays so that your customers aren't left in the dark. read more

I happened to be surfing the YELP website and read the review listed by Maria Z. about LoStocco Refuse, who happen to be my trash haulers. I was shocked to read her comments; I have been with them for 20 years and have ever experienced an issue. I signed up when I first moved to Bethel and their service has been wonderful over the years. Their people have come up our driveway many times when I have had to have several surgeries, at no cost to me! My neighbor had a similar situation and when she asked her hauler to come up the driveway, they charged her every time! I have always paid my bill on time and they have always given me fair, courteous service. Perhaps this woman should pay her bill! read more

Absolutely AWFUL customer service. Spoke to Liz, she was incredibly rude and called every day for a $30 payment (that was less than 30 days past due might I add) for about two weeks! She threatened to take me to collections when I told her to mail me a current bill and insisted I was refusing payment by not letting her email it to me.Told her I was outraged, and she started to yell at me! I had no words and expected them to handle this situation with more professionalism and grace. Very bad look for the company and I advise you all to not call them! read more

Great company, great service. Occasionally I will forget to put my trash cans out, and the guys will actually come down the driveway and get them. When I called to make my payment customer service is always extra polite. read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years and they have been professional, neat and timely. Whenever I call the office, they are courteous and helpful. Their prices were lower than others in the area. I highly recommend Lostocco. read more
