Who doesn't love Lot Less? It is a great store where you can find all kinds of items. Houseware, clothing, beauty/ skincare, electronics, and more. The reason for the four stars is because I don't really know where some of these items come from, such as makeup that used to be in regular stores from like two years ago. They also have a lot of bath items that have been imported from other countries. Also the clothes items appear to be cheaply made. I do like Lot Less for their houseware items. I can get a curtain set for my living room window, some bathroom products for my bathroom, or some electric items/ dishware for my kitchen. They have items you see on T.V. here for great prices. i like shopping at lot less closeout cause you will always find useful stuff from personal items , snacks. simple homegoods, cheap clothing. slippers, cell phone chargers and covers, cleaning supplies for the crib, and a bunch of other useful things but remember as the name simply states closeouts which in laymans terms means , get it now or else you wont find it tomorrow anymore. i was not really looking for anything in particular but a 5 piece bathroom towel set for 9 bucks , a blender for 12 bucks and a alarm clock radio that glows in the dark and beams the time and temp on the ceiling in the dark for 13 bucks is a must .spending 60 bucks here at the lot less closeout in queens is my way of spending a sunday morning with purpose . give them a visit , you will find something useful for less without looking that hard. read more

Shopping during lunch break was surprisingly a breeze to scan the varies aisles of everyday household items from cleaning, beauty, toiletries, snacks, Back-To-School items, clothing, stationery, feminine hygiene, fragrant oils, etc. The exterior appears dilapidated and filthy but surprisingly the interior is clean, very well air conditioned and aisles are wide. Merchandise is well stock with abundant inventory. I rather not pay full price for feminine hygiene, cleaning, and toiletries items when closeouts is discounted. Checkout line is well queued and orderly. No comment on customer service as I was browsing the aisles as I did not have any specific need. Note: No fitting room for clothing trial. It is either hit or miss for size, style, or one's personal interest. read more

The items sold at the store are good and affordable. The reason i am giving it a 2 star is because of their return policy. I purchased two items at a different lot less in chambers street. When i tried to return the items at this location I was told, that I was not going to get the full amount of money i paid for because each lot less store price their items differently. Nowhere on their receipt says that. So if you plan to return or exchange an item from this store Make sure you do so at the original store you purchased the items from so they don't try to rob you like they tried to do to me. read more

This place. Ohhhh, this place. It's a love / hate relationship. Great deals - for serious. Anything you can imagine. Name brand stuff for cheap (most of the time). Today I got 2 New Balance racerback workout tanks for $5.99 a piece. I also got 2 Essie nail polishes for $2.99 each. You never know what you're going to find. It seriously can change on a daily basis. They have food products - Melinda's hotsauce for $1.99, Sophia pesto for $2.99, it's always changing. However - there are some drawbacks. - The parking situation can be a nightmare. All I have to say is good luck to ya. - There is a chance that the line will be wrapped around the store. - The store is small. It is crowded, and it will test your patience trying to navigate through the masses & their carts (which are somehow always directly in your way). - This might be a personal problem, but even if you go in "just to look", you'll walk out with a giant bag full of merchandise. It's impossible to leave without buying something. Despite any & all drawbacks I will continue shopping & spending entirely too much money here and loving every second of it. Tip: Early Saturday mornings tend to be pretty quiet, so that's when I try to go. read more

I've never been to any Lot Less stores besides this one but there are awesome sales. They've got some pretty cool sales on snacks too: Cliff bars, Luna bars, and other healthy junk! The store is more organized now than it's been in the past but still just a tad bit messy. But who cares?!?!! You're getting such great deals! 1 dollar for rimmel lipstick that costs 9 bucks everywhere else??? Awesome!!! read more

This place is magical. You can find good clothing brands for unbelievably cheap. At various locations I've seen: C. Wonder, Isaac Mizrahi, H&M. The beauty and hair products I love can all be found here for way cheaper than the drugstore. My only complaint: at this location at least, the employees are not helpful at all. I was once trying to inquire about buying a painting in the window. The first person I went up to was the security guard who suggested looking for it around the store. It wasn't there. I went up to an employee who told me to ask one of the checkout people for the manager. The first checkout person said the stuff from the window goes on sale in the store, but she couldn't say when. The checkout person next to her said nothing in that window ever goes on sale. Umm... seems impossible to me. The latter said I could ask for the manager but he would say the same thing. I just walked away. How stupid! I was ready to buy the painting and give them my money but they couldn't be bothered. read more

This is my go to spot for things that I don't need to be wasting my money buying retail for. This store budget friendly and great for students and those people that proudly penny pinches like myself... this is a great place to get practically anything from decorations to toys, luggages, men and women's clothes, toiletries, makeup you name it most likely they'll have it... this is a place where I go to first before target because let's be real who likes over paying for anything!? no one, exactly... being a savvy shopper saves you money and alleviates money worries... I gave it 4 stars because this branch is a little bit lazy in putting their products out and always has bare minimum on their shelf unlike their other stores.... I always find myself asking to have something taken from the back. In any case love love love this store! read more

This place is actually clean! From the outside looking In this places looks dirty and uninviting but when u actually walk in everything looks clean and fresh. The staff is extra helpful if ur looking for things. I will coming back to grab some munches often since I know they are clean.so check this spot out read more

Best buys in town, bar none....they get name brand stuff for peanuts...I got a pair of Kenneth Cole slacks for 9.99 that were normally over 40 bucks...it happens over and over...staff is not so friendly but hey, they probably get paid peanuts, I'd be pissed off too...great buys, though! read more

Lot-less has some really great buys and often has name brand items. I always rack up on the danskin and new balance sports wear. They always have good snack items: cookies, crackers and candy. This store can get a little crowded and is little more messy than the lot less stores downtown - fulton and chambers locations. read more

I am always there--I love this store--they have everything and the best quality and deals in the area--I have brought Jones New York clothing, gifts for my grandchildren and family---Items for the house too--This store is a treasure-- However I did have a bad experience with a male manager I believe from Pakistan about two years ago-- I was also upset to see that most of the girls that worked so hard and were faithful and dedicated were all fired--Why? Do not know? They were always so nice and helpful--many single moms just trying to create an income ( which probably was not much) I hope they get a better paying job with benefits- read more

Now, I love this store, and am there more regularly then I would like to admit. But, I have seen and experienced first hand a outright disrespect by the manager to customers. Today marked the day, that I expereienced first hand, what I had in disgust witnessed him do to other customers in the past. Returning an tray that you can put photos into , which I was excited to get to turn into a decoupage present for someone for the holidays, i got home to find it was broken. I quickly put the reciept taped on the box to return it as soon as I went back. I had bought just that that day, unusual for myself , being that I usually buy way too much at Lots lLess . I went to return it , to be told emphatically, that thats not the right receipt, even thought i POSITIVELY KNEW IT WAS. I asked him to understand that I m here all the time, never returning anything and that this most definitely was the receipt. He just emphatically said no. it isnt. dismissing me like my word, my insistence and that my regularity and respect he should have for my word, was nothing to him, only his desire to keep the returns to a minimum so he keeps his job. Well, if this company is keeping him for that, they are overlooking his complete disrespect for customers. I have seen him behave this way to others, in horror, and now I have experienced it first hand. It was offensive, disrespectful and would warrant being dismissed in a larger company. I too love this Lot Less store on W231 St and Broadway, but the managerial staff can be quite rude. The manager with the Indian/Pakastani accent was incredibly nasty to me when I tried to return something. I had the credit card receipt but not the itemized one since I had returned something already and the cashier had kept the itemized receipt. The manager said that cashiers could have given me a copy if I wanted it. I knew that but I thought I wouldn't be needing it. I found the cashier/asst manager who helped me and she remembered me. But the manager yelled, that the cashier knows better than that and any cashier who kept the itemized receipt would be fired. So, I kept quiet after that. No need for a worker to lose her job for a $20 item. The staff is quite intimidated. Lot Less has hired someone who may be competent at most of how he does his job but they need to hire for attitude too. His attitude is - if the customer is in the least wrong I'll be sure to hold let her know - loudly - and will not in the least try to make things right, even for a customer who spends hundreds of dollars a year in this store.
