Great warehouse bar that will really fit into the area. They have pretty good happy hour prices ($1.50 oysters, $5 wells, $7 wine) and the bar food offerings are pretty nice as well. There isn't a lot of seating outside of the bar but was with any warehouse bar, there is a lot of open space. The only issue I had was with the weird payment between food and drinks, but they assured me they were working on it. Either way, nice bar, nice staff! read more

The place is big, nice vibe, nice crowd. Management is good when it comes to dealing with issues. But some of the staff, especially one of the men at the coatcheck, (chubby with scruffy beard) is incredibly incompetent, arrogant and with a crappy attitude. Cardinal rules were broken: the chicken was sliced instead of a whole crispy breast, a brick of a bun not the fluffy pillow of brioche that it deserves, and no mayo. My boyfriend and I wandered in here a couple weeks ago - he had played here this past summer and wanted to show me what it was like. We walked in and I immediately fell in love with the decor - some might say it's too eclectic - but I immediately felt at home and very cozy. I almost feel as if I was transformed into a world that was not Brooklyn! We had a few small plates, the burger, lamb meatballs, and some delicious pastry-like item that had ricotta cheese and spinach - and we were NOT disappointed. I came here on a Saturday and this place kind of transformed from really chill to like a club within 15mins. One point for the good service and the space. I have never had such tasteless food in New York. The wings literally didn't even have salt. The fries were even gross. I don't usually review bars or lounges but this place is super cool, I had to leave a short snippet. My fiance and I were on the way to dinner in the area and stumbled upon this very cool loft-like warehouse bar... with a ping pong table in the front, and cool looking couches with a DJ pumping good EDM/Euro trance in back, a shack for food (namely oysters...called Dienna? Djenna?)... it is definitely a cool, unique experience. And NOT crowded. There was so much room in there, it was awesome. Seems like you can reserve room too. A major plus coming from Manhattan. It's BK but has an underrated clubby feel, which I like. Happy hour seems to be daily.. though we got non happy hour drinks. Our bartender prepared an artful hot toddy for me (the fact that they even have that, along with Irish coffee and other stuff is just awesome), and a good whiskey pour for fiance. I had a terrible experience at this establishment on Saturday night. I was there for a party and at the end of the night the bouncer decided to single me out noting that I had an "attitude" because I was leaving too slowly. Within about 30 - 60 seconds of his original request, he escalated the situation to shoving me, grabbing my breast in the process and then proceeded to be even more physical, aggressive, and dismissive when I asked for a simple apology for touching me in a sensitive space (whether intentionally or not). I personally believe that grabbing people's private areas always deserves an apology. I also believe that physical contact should always be the last resort and not something that is initiated simply because you have a feeling that a completely non-violent person has a "bad attitude" as they refuse to leap out of their chair when you initiate closing down a party. In short, his behavior was excessive and his manager backed him up rather than diffusing the situation so this place sucks. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. read more

This is THE hole in the if you're in Brooklyn! Spontaneously Stumbled upon this hip bar on Friday night and I can definitely say I stumbled the right direction. This place serves quality drinks for affordable prices and the service was impeccable. This place is trash and the food was equally a disappointment. Popped by on a weekend while I was in town from LA to link up with friends. Soon as I walked in the hostess tried to check me like I was in the wrong place although I mentioned I was meeting people. Then the waitress took forever. Food tasted like cardboard. Nothing was seasoned. Was met with an attitude when I brought it to their attention. Also, there's a guy there with a major chip on his shoulder. Hope he's the owner as he was doing the absolute most. My guess he's a bar back. Please get your establishment together. The customer service is abominable. The staff was very friendly and we had 2 toddler-aged kids with us so that was cool. The space is fantastic. But then things got weird. We were there for an early brunch last Sunday. One of our group ordered Mac & Cheese and it took 10 mins longer to get it than the other dishes and there was no explanation or apology. Also, I ordered avocado as a burger topping and it wasn't included...no explanation. I also ordered it medium and it was quite well done. Another person in our party ordered the "French toast & bacon" entree. It came without the bacon. We asked where it was and the server looked confused, then a guy came over and we told him. He apologized, left, assuming to retrieve said bacon, never returned. After everyone's meal was finished we flagged him down and told him never mind about the bacon because we were finished. He had zero recollection of the bacon. I would understand these kinds of things if the place was packed but we were one of just 5 or 6 tables and there was plenty of staff. Now, having said all that, one of the toddlers knocked a glass on the floor and the friendly staff jumped into action to clean it up and reassure her that it was no problem which was very much appreciated. Would I return? Probably, because of the friendliness of the staff and the incredible, comfortable space. But the disconnect between the servers and the kitchen needs a lot of work. read more

Today a friend asked me "what's a good brunch spot in Bushwick" and I told him "not Lot 45, dear god not Lot 45". You know a business is a hot mess when at the end of your meal one of the 15 employees that are on staff pacing around doing nothing comes over to you and whispers under their breath "nothing got messed up, right?". The food here I will say was decent, but not worth the pain of the service. I might like this place if they fired everyone on staff and got employees to work there. The hostess was a mess, caught several times moaning to herself and acting like she was ready to score. Our waiter/waitress was literally 5 different people, who came over to our table to bring us water served in shot glasses. I'm not exaggerating. I wish I was. The water glasses were straight up shot glasses. The food came out at retarded intervals and we could never get the attention of staff because we weren't sure who our waiter/waitress was at that point. I don't even want to talk about getting the bill. Overall we were there for 3 hours trapped in this Lot 45 hell. The entire place is a trick. You see this cute venue, with a menu that looks cuter, and then you're trapped. In brunch hell. It's *breaks into tears* not ok.
