If you are not looking to be greeted by a snotty attitude I would suggest not walking in there. I have been several times before however the selection is lacking , there is a lady with long dark hair glasses, pregnant , her attitude belongs in Palm Beach FL not Scarborough . We were very impressed with Lots for Tots. We were a bit skeptical at first, due to a few reviews, but we had an excellent experience, in both locations. Yes, when I walked in, all of the employees were very busy working, but once I said "Hello", they were very responsive and helped me right away. I brought a few bags of clothes in, and got way more than I expected for them. I mean, they have to pay so much overhead, and payroll, etc. For me, getting a little bit of money for clothes that I would just donate, anyway, is a plus. I've tried selling clothes online, but with shipping costs and fees, not to mention my time, it never seems worth it to me. I dropped the clothes off, and gave my name and phone number and within just a couple hours I got a text back saying they were done and what the total would be for the stuff they chose to keep. (And they gave me back what they didn't want or need - some were seasonal clothes). The stores are very clean, the merchandise is very well kept. We are very impressed with both locations. A great service and such an asset to the community. It's so nice to be able to purchase nice, quality clothes, and toys at about half the price. Thank you! read more

Love the business, but not the Scarborough location in particular. Some of the staff I have encountered are very rude and are not pleased to answer your questions. I have witnessed a phone call going on about how a customer "claimed she dropped stuff off" and was "demanding her money". The employee seemed to be back and forth with phone calls from her boss speaking to an unhappy customer wondering what was going on with her money. The employee swore she had never seen the woman but I didn't believe it for one minute. This was some time last year. Things are clearly unorganized and items are not always accounted for. Unfortunately; I decided to forget about that incident and I chose to donate some never used baby items, hoping to get a couple bucks back. I never got one phone call, I went in about 3 weeks later to find my items hanging up- up for grabs in the store with price tags and everything. I asked the cashier about it, she pretended to look through some stuff after I told her my name and she said sorry we have nothing under your name here. This has never happened to me at the Falmouth location. There is an employee at the Scarborough location who isn't taking money handling seriously, and/or is taking the money for themselves and claiming it's missing. I felt the need to post, wondering if this has happened to anyone else at this location. Unfortunate, really! I love this store. There's just definitely some fishy stuff going on. :( read more

The things they have are good and a very good selection of toys in particular but would love if the customer service was better.

I went in yesterday and wasn't greeted by either one of the two people at the counter, when I found something I wanted I saw that the pants were not the same size as the onesie, went up front to ask if they could either adjust the price or if I could get a different pair of pants in the correct size the answer I got was "no we can't do anything that's how it came in" mind you I have sold clothes to this business before and they take each item on an individual basis, feeling off put about this answer I put my stuff back and left also with no interaction with the same two people at the counter. read more

I do love it here... I buy things for my little one here frequently. Have not had the best success with selling them items otherwise they would get 5 stars from me. But the staff is helpful and they don't hover which is a plus for me!! They have also made a lot of improvements to the layout...Making it easier to navigate! They do have a small space to work with for the amount of amazing stuff they have! Would recommend this place to anyone! read more

As a Children's Resale connoisseur from out of state, I have to say, this is the worst organized and most poorly kept resale store I have ever visited. The clothing was separated by age group, however not by sex. Sure, could be from lack of space as the store is basically just a corner rats nest in a strip mall. But, it's more likely there's no space due to the numerous crappy, outdated baby swings and strollers they're hording. The clothes are dingy and picked through, the store is dingy and the staff is made up of young girls that seem to be experiencing their first job and aren't very professional. However! I found the staff to be very nice! BUT! The used toy selection is on point! Lots of huge doll houses and riding toys. If you're in the market for toys, def worth a trip. If your looking for clothes... skip this one. read more

I have been going to both the Falmouth and Scarborough location for years. I have shopped for my children and now my grandchildren. The service is always friendly and the organization is very easy to follow. Yes, they have a small space but they do a great job in how they use it. I have never found stains on any of the clothes and the prices are very good. I would highly recommend this store. read more

I am a grandmother who stops into Lots For Tots on a regular basis. The staff is very helpful, and friendly. The merchandise is clean and top quality and changes quickly. Very high prices for the value of various used items. Very poor inventory selection for coats and shoes. Items on sale are not clean and covered with dust and stain from outside exposure and from the seller also. unfriendly staff. A resale store should be better organized. I went to the store for two days looking at the same stroller. The first day that I went in the price was $40 and today it was still $40. I went in and asked the saleswoman the price and she confirmed it was $40. I had her show me how to use it, open/close etc. Since it was still a little large she recommended I look in the Falmouth location, I said I would but would be back probably today for the stroller. After leaving Falmouth empty handed, I called Scarborough and spoke to the saleswoman regarding the stroller which she AGAIN confirmed was $40. I asked her if we could alter the price a little as it has been neglected outdoors for sometime- she said she would check what they were selling for online and get back to me. She called 10 minutes later and said the stroller sold for $180+ at target. She then told me she read the wrong price tag on the stroller and it was actually $60. That's funny, because you CONFIRMED multiple times that it was $40. I asked her how the price could suddenly change because for two days it had been $40 she kept telling me that she looked at the wrong price tag, however we look at the same price tag together for two days and it was confirmed multiple times that the price was $40 the woman then repeated she was looking at the wrong price tag which was a lie because she told me it was $40. Basically she saw how much they were selling for online and wanted to make more money on it. I asked her since it was a mistake on her part would I be able to purchase it for $40 she told me that she would be losing a ton of money if she did that. When I said because it was a mistake on your part and you confirmed the price multiple times could she sell it for 40 and she kept repeating that she was looking at the wrong price tag. You have lost my business forever because your greed got in the way of a sale. Your store is dirty the employees look filthy and unpresentable and you should be ashamed of how this was handled better customer service next time. read more
