Two thumbs up because they have in stock a composter and compressed straw, which could get us started immediately. Not exactly the model I'm looking for, so I had to pass for now. Plenty of canning supplies, including large pots. Some good bargains to be had in the small nursery outside; tomatoes plants, trees, grasses and perennials at discounted prices.

IFA has its own regional feed mill, and for many years was able to provide custom feed for my poultry operation. Very knowledgeable about feeds and medicines for other species, as well. Radically superior customer service to the other place in town. The guys in the warehouse are quick, efficient and friendly loading up big orders... I have literally waited for an hour at the other place for them to load my order. As close as you can get to shopping a local feed store, even though it's a corporate operation.

I was somewhat influenced by the one stars here and there, but my gut told me just to remain positive, as anyone considering this place should. I yearned for a place that would provide solitude, positive people, away from it "all" (crowds, cars, technology, work stress, etc), nature, balance, excitement. I've never done a ranch and really had ZERO expectations. I was met with the two most sweetest young ladies (Taylor and Hunter) who quickly put me at ease. Hunter, that hug brushed away every bit of anxiety I felt. Every moment of my day was met with this utmost care and attention, to the point I felt so guilty of the attention! Family dinner was absolutely amazing. I was in awe of sit down dinner with the ranch owners and their well-behaved grandkids. There is nothing more soothing that hearing kids laugh and play, run around the ranch and soak in the air and sun (in other words not having there heads glued to an iPad). Joe, the chef - absolutely amazing. I manage executive chefs at 5-star facilities and nothing beats a chef with a personality (and great food of course!). Away went this so-called diet I tried to put myself on and was able to just enjoy good food and company with no pressure on myself, Kyle - nothing more charming than a cowboy (not a ranch hand!) tipping his hat to a lady. Your hard work was certainly noticed, and your patience is/was so appreciated! Note: I am a female "executive" and came here on this trip by myself. I was able to drop everything from my city life, and just live the moment.

Now this ghost town is different from others because it didn't grow due to finding gold or silver. Instead, it started in hopes to grow wheat but did not last long due to problems with water right. This is just before the turnoff to Metropolis, right where Metropolis Road switches from pavement to dirt. Park right off the road and hike 2 miles through a beautiful canyon to get to the hot springs. Very easy, flat hike.
