She proceeds and to walk an away without apologizing. We look at her from afar and yells "problem!?" at us. Totally unprovoked, rude, unhinged behavior that left us shocked and my daughter shaken. At the end of the street I found a few food options. The most amazing Filipino food from 88 Cues, irresistible salsas and masala chai, and so much more to try. I ended up buying a bowl cozy at this market. The stand I bought it from has been at other markets and each time I wonder if I really need one. Honestly this is the most underrated and useful item in your household and if you are a camping person then you will love a little bowl holder. Mine has a Mexican skull theme and my husbands is super Mario bros. They're so cute and nicely crafted. I also bought some chicken earrings from Alpine Rio creations. They're beautiful and when I asked if they came in a darker wood color, the artist offered to make me a pair. How amazing is that! I loved the studs and will surely be buying more next time I see them, their work is so cute!

Ballard Farmers Market was my favorite farmers market in the greater Seattle area for many years…read more Recently, the booth count seems to be less than before, with restaurants occupying the street space (understandably) along two blocks. Subsequently, I lost some interest since I don't live nearby. While I was in Ballard on a recent Sunday, I rushed to the market to see if it was still open. Officially, it was not; they closed at 2pm. But they were still packing up. I believe they are not allowed to sell after the official closing time; I asked one vendor, they declined. The staff wants the streets to reopen as soon as possible. As I walked the two blocks, several vendors still have some items on display on their tables. With a bit of wink, wink, accidentally dropping cash on the table and accidentally taking things off the table, I walked away with goodies. I won't say what I bought to avoid anyone getting into trouble. Street parking was easy enough nearby on a Sunday.

I don't think I have seen more beautiful blooms anywhere else! I love that it was heavily focused on local small businesses, farmers, and FOOD. We stopped for a few bites along the way and were blown away every time. So good. This market is huge and stretches for a few blocks, so be sure to come early and give yourself ample time to explore. Also, with it being in Ballard, there are a ton of cool, hipster shops to browse while you're in the area.

I arrived late, so some stalls were starting to pack up. I counted about three produce stalls. They also have the typical stalls for honey, or cheese, or cookies/pastries, etc. They also have the non-food items such as pottery. I chose a couple of sweet treats of frosting cookies from "Darlene's Baked Goods"; Darlene was also very nice. I am also looking forward to seeing Port Gardner Crafts in the future. I like their thin wall potteries and hope to find a large size mug in the future. If I am already in the area, it is worth a visit. I would not purposely drive here for the market.

My particular focus is generally keeping eyes peeled for all the goodness that is organic (everything from beans & greens, to tomatoes & potatoes). 2nd priority is any vegan treats worth trying and any low/minimal waste candles (such as naked votives; sorry concrete & glass but you're only a nice rare treat). Today I managed a small haul of produce (bean varieties from Garden Treasures Nursery & Organic Farm and more different beans from Alvarez Organic Farms - both had nice staff who shared eating ideas); oh and a small sample of ginger peach muffins from Liberated Foods. As far as my list, very solid! Next time planning to get some greens and garlic. They are limited with vegan eats and home decor votives (which are super rare in these markets I've seen, if at all).

If you are unable to find street parking, Redmond Town Center offers a free parking garage that is only a short walk away, making parking convenient overall. I absolutely love the Redmond Saturday Market. It is one of my favorite places to visit on the weekends. They always have fresh produce with a great selection of fruits and vegetables, along with many local vendors selling handmade jewelry, artwork, baked goods, and other unique products. It is a wonderful place to support small businesses while enjoying the local community. One of my favorite things about Redmond is how walkable the area is. After visiting the market, you can walk around Redmond Town Center, browse the shops, grab something to eat, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. There are also plenty of seating areas throughout the town center, which makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food or take a break. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by the Redmond Saturday Market if you are in the area. It is a great way to spend a weekend morning, support local businesses, and enjoy everything that downtown Redmond has to offer.

I was excited about all of it but the misome really intrigued me (asian citrus-y green). My favorite part of 2020 with Skylight Farms was trying produce that was new to me but also finding a new appreciation for old favorites! I found a recipe that really showcased the misome and used mushrooms, onion, and garlic and I was a big fan! I'm very excited for what this season has in store and equally excited to continue to support this amazing family-owned farm! What a huge asset to our community!

It's held June to early October on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. It's recommended to show up early, use public transit, bike or walk since the surrounding lot and side streets gets pretty full. Vendors representing the market, city, community organizations and services were there. There's also live music and kids activities. There's quite the variety of goods available like fresh flowers, fresh seasonal produce, baked goods, indie artisans and their wares, cheese, meat, eggs, food vendors, onsite coffee stand, cideries, handmade soaps, candles, honey, olive oils, etc. A pleasant way to spend part of your Saturday and show your support for farmers and independent businesses since 2012!
