I drive by this highway-side fruit market way too many times. I finally did a quick stop to browse and surprisingly it was much bigger than it appears from the streets. The market mainly has fruits & vegetables which is expected with some unique items here and there. What I didn't realize was that it's also a nursery. That was unsuspecting and I thought was pretty cool. Anyway, super cool niche store and I'm glad I have another option for produce on my commute route. Parking can be tricky. There are pull in/back out spots right out front but these spots seems dangerous to me when backing out into a super busy highway. I suggest pulling into the actual parking lots before and after these side spots.

Holy heck - I drive by Yakima Fruit Market every day going to work and I've always told myself that I need to check it out. Well I did this weekend and I am so mad at myself that this was only my first time. The produce selection was so fresh and vast. The prices were really affordable - honestly even better than the grocery store. We filled two HUGE bags for only $50. I'll be buying all my fruit and veg from here moving forward. I was surprised to see they were a nursery too! I got some beautiful flowers and I'm excited to explore the nursery side more in the future.

Best fruit and veggie stop I made in my way out of Bothell. Everything is so fresh and I love the smell of the Yakima summer peaches. Definitely worth the journey out here.

My fiancée and I just purchased our Xmas tree here, they had tons, literally all size and SUPER nice overall. Table top sized, big 8'+ monsters, skinny and super bushes. Paid $70 for a nice even rounded 6' Noble fir

Great place for local fruits and vegetables. Don't think the produces are organic. But I found the quality is good, almost at the same price of the super markets. They have other food items and snacks as well. Their nursery for the vegetables and flowers are really good. That are was crowded whenever I visited. They have parking lots at both ends of the shops. Staffs are friendly. they always do have multiple counters open, never had to wait for a long time for check out.

Purchased 2lbs of pickling cukes on Friday, by sunday morning they were rotting bad. Tossed at least half. Disappointed to say the least.

If you want fresh fruits, veggies, and even nursery items, this is the place to go! They are literally bringing produce from eastern WA to sell here. Everything is very fresh and in excellent quality. I enjoy shopping in season items here, especially focusing on the high quantity products. Those are as in-season as you can get. Usually the large bin items outside are very worthy to be considered. We picked up excellent navel oranges and honeycrisp apples today. Their prices are reasonable to good when compared to the regular prices of grocery stores. Grocery stores commonly have sales, and those prices would be better than here. But hey, you're supporting a "small" business. That's got to be worth something. It's COVID-19 time. Their hours are slightly shorter. Check their website for updates.

My treasures from my last visit!

The fruit and produce here seemed like regular big store produce. The prices were ok.

I'm honestly disappointed to write this review…read more I've been shopping at Goodies for about six months now. They sell dukkah (along with other condiments and seasonings) that are hard for me to find, which saves me the time of making them myself. I've also been buying my lamb from them. On July 3, I purchased two packs of lamb chops. One pack was perfectly fine, but the other was clearly spoiled. I still cooked the good pack, but it wasn't enough for everyone to have. I've been cooking lamb for years--I know how it should smell and how it should look. This meat was off. I called the next day to let them know, and they told me they would replace it. I explained that I live over an hour away, so I wouldn't be able to come back until I was in the area again. They assured me they would still honor the exchange. When I came in today, I was met with so much rudeness that I was honestly shocked. I felt embarrassed by the way I was treated. I had really enjoyed supporting this small business up until this point. Because I was so shaken by the interaction, I didn't even realize until I got home that I had originally purchased a six-pack of lamb chops, but I was only given a four-pack in exchange. When I returned the spoiled meat, the woman behind the counter insisted she would "never sell meat like that." I tried to show her the timestamped photo I had taken of the meat when I purchased it, but she refused to even look at it. At one point she said she "didn't know what my deal was," and then suggested it was somehow my refrigerator's fault before asking, rather dismissively, "Well, what do you want?" I'm a very understanding person. When you're selling raw meat, sometimes things happen. Products can spoil. I wasn't looking for an argument--I simply expected for the issue to be handled professionally and with kindness. Instead, I was treated as though I was trying to cause a problem. I'm sure many people will continue to shop here without issue. However, left feeling like I wasn't afforded the same courtesy or respect that other customers might have received. Maybe I would have been treated differently had I looked different. I can't say that for certain, but I also can't think of another reason I was met with such hostility when I approached the situation politely and respectfully from the very beginning. No customer should leave feeling the way I did. The top pack of lamb pictured was perfect. The bottom pack smelled bad and was greenish in person. As you can see via time stamp - I purchased the lamb on the 3rd and began to cook it on the 4th of July.

In some cases, it may be featured ad items which you'd think they'd be prepared for. But when ads break on Wednesdays, why are those items not even on shelves yet? Then again, a day or two after the ad breaks, featured products are already gone and those shelves are empty, if they were ever stocked in the first place. Another challenge seems to be personnel related, which again reflects on management. This afternoon there was only one checker working at a time when people are just getting off work. She had people with several full carts backed up and there was also a line at the "self check out." It seems to put both the employee and customer in a negative situation. On top of that, it looks like there's a fair amount of staff turnover? There's a newer Safeway up in Bothell that is a newer, cleaner store and better organized. I hope that this Kenmore store can improve. If the Bothell store wasn't 3 times further away, I'd probably shop there more...or just go to the Freddy's store at Totem Lake.

First, make sure to be on the lookout for rotten food, especially produce. On a pick up order. I once got a bag of spinach with green liquid in the bottom that was two weeks expired. More recently I accidentally bought a bag of lemons, most of which were so rotten that my finger poked through one when I reached in the bag. I've also seen packaged goods on the shelf well past their expiration dates. You'll want to check your receipt carefully, as well. I've never been one to do that, but have had to learn to with this store. On my most recent trip, I bought 14 items and was overcharged a total of $8.50 on four of them. First they ask if you clipped all the coupons, as though their mistakes must be the customers' fault. Adding insult to injury, you have to return to the store to get back the money they've effectively stolen. Since this happens so often, you have to wonder if they're really mistakes, or just part of the business plan...because they're just not making enough profit on the already obscenely expensive prices? Finally, last Thanksgiving, I visited the meat department to buy turkey parts rather than a whole bird. When I could find none, I asked a very nice meat department employee who said she was told "if we do it for one person then we have to do it for everyone." ??? I called back later and was told it was just a misunderstanding with a new employee. But again, I had to go back to the store a second time, time, frustration, and gas on me. In general, the customer staff are great and I feel sorry for them having to deal with so many screw ups they likely didn't create. However, when I asked how there could be such old spinach on the shelves and how it made its way into in my order, the answer I got was, "Just laziness to be honest," So maybe I'm being generous. Anyway, shop here at your own peril, check the produce and expiration dates carefully, and review your receipt before going home to save yourself a second trip. Even though it's a hassle, I now go to a different store whenever possible
