They rave about their carrot cake, but I am here to rave about their Red velvet and lemon raspberry cakes. Before this place I was kinda meh about red velvet and absolutely avoided lemon cakes. But this place has won me over on both. The cream cheese in the red velvet is just delicious, but the cake is light and smooth and melts perfectly in your mouth - even slowly eating it over a week out of the fridge. The lemon cake had the same texture but a perfect balance of sweet and tart. I got it for my mom who was visiting and whom I know loves lemon and she gladly ate a slice a day with me. The cakes here are simply the best! We originally came across their carrot cake at the The Metropolitan Grill downtown Seattle. My husband wanted the carrot cake he had there for his birthday. Finale's is a wholesale bakery that also does custom cakes (and other treats). There is no storefront/retail space, but don't let that stop you. We just picked up the most delicious Red Velvet cake from Finale's for a retirement party. Everyone raved about the texture and flavor of the cake, as well as the very yummy cream cheese frosting. I ordered Raspberry Oatmeal bars and Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars. They were delivered by Door Dash. The raspberry was great. The pumpkin however tasted like freezer burn, I couldn't even force eat them. I was super disappointed. Not sure what went wrong, but when I got them, they already had ice crystals. It smelled like freezer burn.
