Been there a few times. They have an excellent choice of different polishes. The first time the nail tech cut my feet with the foot file to the point it was bleeding. The second time the nail polish was messy. She missed some spots, made it too thick on some nails. The nail tech was literally not paying attention while she was working on me. She was more interested in talking to her coworker right next to us. She barely cut my cuticles and was not even looking while she was working on my nails. The manicure took 35 minutes and the pedicure 15 minutes. The third time I went I thought I had a pretty good manicure, other than them filing my cuticles so hard that my finger bled, however the next day the nail polish started to chip and I hadn't done anything that would have made that happen. The male owner is bold and very direct and at times condescending to the customers. Time to find a new nail salon. Not worth all this hassle. read more

I like this place. I can't say that I love it. It's not what I would call luxury or exceptional. They do a fine job. I have come here a couple of times now for a pedicure. On my most recent visit I brought my adult daughter with me. They were able to give us both pedicures at the same time which was convenient. I only wish that they would spend just a bit more time on the leg massage part. The location is kept very clean which of course is important. The massage chairs that you sit in for the pedicures are really nice. Though it was the very end of March during this visit we were still in the midst of the polar vortex so boots were still the footwear of choice. They were really great when it came time to leave by wrapping our toes in plastic so the fresh polish wouldn't be destroyed. read more

Lotus Nails is "the" place to get your nails done in HP - they book up fast on weekends. Great service, classy facility, nail techs are very friendly; they take their time and do a good job. Their pedicures last a month and they give you a foot/calf massage with exfoliant - my fave! Four stars because I think their prices are a bit high (its the North Shore....I should probably know better ;) and I personally dislike the set up for the manicures, which is one long table. Every time I come in I have to listen to MILF's and their tweenage daughters sitting next to me and loudly discussing Dancing with the Stars or whatever. I come here on a regular basis though and if you're in HP, definitely give it a shot. read more

Quality work, attention to detail, impeccably clean, relaxing (no TV, which is great!), my manicures and pedicures last much longer than from other salons, price is comparable ($15 manicure, $40 mani/pedi earlier in the week), and I love Mina's quick smile and pleasant demeanor. Another differentiator from manicures I've had at other salons is that she's very gentle and careful with my cuticles -- it never hurts! -- with great results. LOVEEE getting my nails did and this place is close to work so why not try it even though I'm very loyal to my nail lady in Deerfield. I was given a gift card for a mani and pedi over the holidays, so I decided it was time, it was time to cheat on my nail lady.. Luckily it was only a one time thing, well unless I'm given another gift certificate, than that will be a whole other rendezvous. Here are some observations of this place: -Ambiance wise, it could be sexier. Bong Spa in HP for example appears cleaner, more modern and trendier so Lotus can definitely use a little makeover. -The mani I got here was just a okay, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. However, I didn't like the high stool I sat on during the whole experience so that was kinda eh. The lady also didn't paint my nails perfectly like I would have loved, but oh well, it was okay. -So thus far with the mani and the overall atmosphere and experience, I'd say it's just 2-3 stars at most, but wait, wait till the pedi. I have to say, and shhh, hopefully my nail lady from Deerfield doesn't read this, it is the BEST pedi I've had in my life and I've been through my share of salons and nail techs. Wow, it was amazing, not the cheapest, but so worth it. My feet felt amazing afterwards, she used multiple scrubs on them and they have never felt better. I wanted to show off my feet to the world. -Overall, skip the mani and get the Pedi, I need to remember the name of the lady who does the best pedi's but she was wow, oh so incredible. I will definitely come back (with a giftcard) or maybe even by myself just for that 45 minutes of extreme pleasure for my feet. Trust me, your toes will thank you afterwards. And if it's summertime, go get a granida from the Perfect Blend while you are at it! read more

So sorry to put a bad review here, i wish i could give a good one. I went here once and i am not happy with my nails. My no chip is already falling off after few days only, the technician filed my manicure very uneven, i mean people actually tell me my nails look bad. I never had such a bad manicure. I paid more than i usually do. I was always happy w my no chip nails except this time. Maybe it was just the nail technician that was bad, i really don't know. It's unfortunate because the place was great, i liked it and the owners were so sweet. The wife helped me out so much in picking color. So sorry, but i am so disappointed. read more

Lotus is my new favorite nail spa! I literally found this place by happenstance and am psyched! For years, I have searched for the perfect nail spot in the northern suburbs and finally found it! Kim the owner is beyond welcoming and friendly and it is apparent how much he cares about his business as he keeps his shop, top notch. "Little Kim", my manicurist, had me smiling and laughing, asked me throughout my manicure if I was comfortable, ensured that I liked the shape/style of my nails, and she ultimately, made my nails just beautiful! Coincidentally, I ran into an old girlfriend and reconnected with her. A day later, I found out one of my other girlfriends is a regular at Lotus and also goes to "Little Kim" for her nails. Bizarre! I have never written a review before on Yelp but after an excellent experience today, I feel that I have to share! I went in to Lotus after hearing so many great reviews and it did not disappoint. Everyone there was friendly, attentive and took excellent care of the customers. They even handed out little Christmas gifts! Even though it is pricier than some other places, I would definitely go back just for the great service. Debbie was great! 2.5 weeks later my nails look as good as when I got them done the first day! The hot towel and massage treatment are an added bonus and feel great! Their couch which is very comfy & dryers are a great feature so when you leave there's no worry about smudging! She is efficient and my french manicures have never been better! Their pedicure massage chairs are incredible. And, the prices are lower than similar salons in the area. It is an extremely clean, comfortable and quiet place - a nice respite from the noisy, gossipy salons. A great place to relax and be pampered after a long work week! read more

I will definitely be back to Lotus! I went to get a pedicure with my mom who was visiting from out of town and she found Lotus online and we decided to try it. I'm a cheap-o, so $30 for a pedicure seems way too much, but it was totally worth it! It was the best pedicure I've ever had. I have never had someone be so precise with my nails and really make sure everything was perfect. The foot and lower leg scrub/massage was also a nice little treat. Everyone was very friendly and they even gave us cute little socks for the holiday. Once our nails were dry, someone even wrapped up our nails so they wouldn't get messed up in our shoes walking around after. LOVE Lotus! I was in the area after working in Highland Park around 3:15 and was in desperate need for a mani. I called and asked if they could take me at 3:30 and there was no problem at all, considering it was so last-minute. The place is nice; very clean and I love the bar they have where clients sit. It gives the place a modern and urban look. As soon as I walked in the door the staff was friendly and welcoming. There was no wait and I was in the chair getting my manicure before I knew it. Unfortunately, I do not recall the name of the lady who did my nails. She was pleasant and accomplished exactly what I wanted. My manicure lasted eight days! I was so pleased with it. Prices are affordable, place is enjoyable, and the nail services are great. Wish we had a Lotus in Kenilworth; bummer it is in Highland Park. Would certainly come back if I am in the area. read more

I bought a pedi-mani for my woman and she loved it! She went on a Saturday afternoon with an appointment. She was attended to promptly and from there on it was customer service at its finest. She reported the job was done great for both the feet and hands. Overall she loved it. Therefore I was happy. I'm told I paid a bit on the high end but it was worth it. This place used to be my go to for pedicures. It's definitely clean and the technicians are excellent. In past years, the gentleman answering the phone and scheduling appointments was very friendly and did all he could to accommodate my scheduling needs. Often, if he didn't have an appointment in my time frame, he would suggest other times that were available as options. However, with a new, younger person answering the phones and scheduling appointments there doesn't seem to be the same attention to customer service. Sadly, I'll have to find another salon for my pedicures. read more

This is the 2nd or 3rd recent visit where they've messed up my appointment (i.e., no one ready at my appointment time). Last pedicure didn't last, service was rushed.
