Sad to say that the crawfish was DISGUSTING. It was extremely mushy, the meat was brown, and the claw meat was black. I ordered the fried lobster and rice for an addition price. Box with crab, corn, sausage and boiled shrimp. The lobster has a crunch profile that's worth visiting for. The medium heat was spicy and I think mild when I return. My brother opted for fried fish and shrimp, he stated the taste was a 9 out of 10. I'm not actually into a ton of crazy sauce on my boiled seafood... preferably I like mine steamed with drawn butter. I'm simple, so Kee that in mind. We ordered lots of things to try including the crab, shrimp, wings, and of course the seafood rice. The rice was my best choice bc everything was just ok. The lemon pepper spicy wings tasted sweet like bbq but were fresh and meaty. The seafood boil wasn't that impressive to me. My crab cluster was very tiny and overcooked making it difficult to access the meet, but my friend's crab looked fresh and was definitely 3 to 4 times larger than mine. Honestly, this place is delicious the way they infuse seafood with cajun. Their crack sauce is a great add on. Only thing I can say is that I don't go here often as it doesn't seem like the healthiest option as there's a lot of grease/salt and eating it feels like a heart attack's about to happen. It had a really great smoky taste to it that I enjoy. I can see why customers like it. The frozen daiquiri was also pretty good as well. A friend and I were craving snow crabs and chose this spot over LA Crawfish. We called in our order and asked for full crabs, but didn't check before leaving, big mistake. The crabs were barely worth it for the $40 we spent. We called and spoke to two managers who just said "sorry" and told us to bring the food back, which wasn't helpful since we were starving and tired after working overnight. I normally leave 4 or 5-star reviews, but I feel strongly about this one. I'm sharing this in the spirit of constructive criticism, with the hope that it helps the restaurant improve in the future. Unfortunately, my crawfish experience here was genuinely disappointing. At $70 for 5 pounds, I expected something flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. Instead, the crawfish came out in a plastic grocery bag--not the tray presentation shown in photos or typically expected. Worse, they had almost no seasoning at all. For a boil, that's a dealbreaker. As the saying goes: "If you ain't sneezing, it ain't seasoned." Adding to that, sides like corn and potatoes had to be ordered separately rather than being included in the boil, which felt like nickel-and-diming. The "Crack Sauce" they sell is just a plastic packet of butter that didn't do much to help. Honestly, I could have gotten better flavor and presentation at HEB across the street. The restaurant was also packed and disorganized. My party was squeezed into a small table, and everything--from plates to utensils--was disposable. The kitchen looked cramped and not particularly clean. For a $70 meal, the overall experience felt rushed and unprofessional. To the owners: I say this respectfully--if crawfish aren't your strength, maybe reconsider offering them. Or, better yet, take time to refine the recipe and presentation. Traditional methods are popular for a reason, and there's no need to reinvent the wheel if it means sacrificing quality. read more

We went to Lotus because I wanted crawfish and I was not impressed. The restaurant was not clean and the service was subpar. The staff was nonchalant and someone was vaping in the restaurant. The food was lightly seasoned and you have to pay for everything separately. There are definitely better restaurants out there if you want crawfish. read more

The front girl was rushing and impatient. When they called your number they just kind were like hurry up already. They were more focused on having fun at work than getting food out. Ordered peeled shrimp medium and lomein. The peeled shrimp was standard. I was surprised how big the shrimp are in the lomein. I ordered combo lomein. The chicken tasted a little off mainly the texture. I believe they use thighs. I couldn't find the crawfish. The biggest issue is it tasted not as flavorful as the Stafford location. read more

Finally got to visit Lotus Seafood after seeing posts of pics all over Instagram. Online ordering via their website was convenient and simple and my order was packed and ready to go when I arrived. I ordered a Fully Loaded Loud Pack ($21). It came with Fried Rice with Crawfish topped with tons of Shrimp, 1 Corn, 1 Potato, 1 Egg and 1 Sausage. In addition, I ordered 2 Crack Sauce packets (.75 each) although it did come with 1 packet. The portion was quite generous and everything was absolutely delicious! I'm wimpy when it comes to spice so I decided to go for the Medium (2nd option) rather than Mild. It wasn't overwhelmingly spicy but it sure did have quite a kick. The crack sauce was also the perfect addition to everything and added so much flavor. I loved it all. Wish they'd make a location closer to Austin so I could visit more often! read more
