Tried Buffalo Seafood and Wings in the Spring Branch area with a group of friends for crawfish. It's definitely a bit of a hole-in-the-wall and the area feels a little sketchy, but it's easy enough to get to. Just a heads up, this place is counter service, so you order at the front and then grab a table. The crawfish garlic butter sauce actually has really good flavor, but the crawfish themselves weren't very juicy. It tasted like most of the flavor stayed on the outside rather than soaking into the crawfish. If they let the crawfish sit in the sauce longer, I think it would make a big difference. The fried catfish was solid, and the whole wings were good. Regular wings were just okay. Prices are pretty reasonable though around $10/lb normally, and they are running a special of 5 lbs for $45. I was recommended this place by a group of friends since I was really craving crawfish, and this place did not disappoint! I ordered online for pick up and ordered 2 pounds of the Ooh La La spicy, as well as 2 pounds of the Bayou sauce - both spicy, and also got six piece of spicy garlic wings with crawfish fried rice. The order was ready in less than 25 minutes, which was really nice. To start, it was a bit difficult to tell which sauce was which, since they did not label the bags in my to-go order, so I really can't say which one I liked better. One of them definitely was a lot saltier than the other one, but the flavors for both were still really good and also was actually spicy, which I enjoyed. The crawfish sizes were also decently bi The spicy garlic wings that I ordered were also pretty good. They were of decent size and were not super dry. I thought that the crawfish fried rice was lacking a bit in terms of flavor and was also on the dryer side, but if you add a bit of the crawfish sauce into the fried rice it ends up being so tasty!! The ooh la la spicy is a combination of both the garlic butter and the cajun sauce so I went with that. I also added a potato, corn, and a sausage and with tip, everything was $17.00! The food was delicious. The crawfish size was a mix of big and small but the sauce was great (it was definitely a little too salty for my liking but full of flavor). The potato was good, the sausage had that perfect crisp-textured casing, and the corn was spectacular. Food was delicious! We had the shrimp po boy, and the Bayou Box with the 12 shrimp. Everything was yummy. My only complaint is the excessive single-use plastic they use- we dined in, and they gave us plastic utensils to take to our table. Then when they brought the food out they included more plastic utensils that negated our need for the first ones. Water cups were flimsy plastic. Take out boxes are styrofoam. All sauces come in single use packets. I think they could do more, especially for dine-in customers, to reduce waste. read more

Even during the recent crawfish season, when prices were rising everywhere, Bayou kept their prices consistent and competitive. The flavor is amazing--I've tried both the garlic butter sauce and the Bayou sauce, and they never disappoint. The sizing of the crawfish has also been good every time I go.
