When we walked in we were quickly seated and brought waters. After a quick look at the menu we made several choices. The crab rangoons were a nice mix of cream cheese and crab. It was well seasoned. Then came the crab salad. It was FANTASTIC! Served on a piece of wood I absolutely loved this dish. My main entree was chicken pad Thai made medium plus spicy. It was delicious! It was a decent serving size for the price. My mouth was burning! The service was initially a little funky but warmed up as the meal went on. I would certainly recommend this restaurant. They were also sold out of sushi on my visit so be sure to call ahead if that's what you want. read more

Lotus Thai will hit the spot just not fully authentic. My Thai Basil was missing the Thai basil and for me that is a big miss. You can grow Thai basil under a lamp inside if needed. Anyway, I understand as it's the MW and some ingredients are hard to find. Here's my three things: 1) Staff was kind and food tasted good. I was seated immediately and checked on regularly. 2) Fried rolls had a nice crunch and the sweet chili sauce was perfect. 3) I do appreciate lots of veggies to equal the protein for that I give 5 stars because less than 10% of places do that. read more

My husband and I stopped in Lotus Thai and Sushi before a show at the Aronoff. He wasn't feeling great, so he didn't order anything, but I got some pad see ew and a California sesame roll with a side of spicy mayo. The food came out quickly. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. I'd eat here again, but would try a different noodle dish. My noodles were mostly all stuck together and the sauce was sweeter than what I'm used to in a pad see ew. The service was good. Had a crave for som Thai while visiting Cincinnati on business. The Pad Thai was delicious. The Som Tum was also very fresh. It took a little extra time to prepare the food but, the staff was really great at keeping tabs on everything. Definitely will eat here again when I'm back in the city. read more

Absolutely delicious food! The establishment was clean, including restrooms and the aesthetic was super nice. It wasn't what I'd call "upscale" but casual and cozy. Went to Lotus Thai and Sushi on 4th Street for lunch today. We arrived at 11:35 and we seated almost immediately. We ordered after a few minutes. I ordered Chicken Thai Spicy and my associate ordered soup and pork Ramrung. We got to talking. 25 minutes later we still had no food. I complained and once they were alerted to the problem we had our food quickly. Our waitress was the hostess and go stuck up front helping deal with takeout and door dash orders. The food was fabulous with great flavor and just the right amount of spice!! The quantity was perfect for lunchtime too. I definitely recommend Lotus but make sure you have a little extra time until they hire another waitress/waiter. read more

This is a very casual place, perfect for lunch. We tried chicken pho, three sushi rolls, and two desserts. Pho was good and tasted light and fresh. The rolls we got were kimchi (surprisingly interesting flavor!), honeybee (deliciously rich) and MPS (very good, simple combo of flavors), all of which were presented beautifully! Opening week synchronizing aside (they need to get their "system" in place so that everything runs a little more smoothly), the food (Crab Rangoon appetizer, chicken Pad Thai) was very good and the price was fair. Servers are super friendly but a little stressed right now and it shows, kitchen struggles to keep up with the rush-demand and that shows too, so don't be in a hurry until they iron those out, but IMO it's a good Thai food choice at this end of downtown. read more

We dined in at evening. We got three sushi rolls, pho, and wonton soup. The only downside I had about this was that I didn't have enough broth for my noodles in my pho, plus some of the noodles were sticking together. They still are receiving five stars because of the camaraderie had between us. Our server was very kind and so was the man who made our sushi. We had come in when they had a photographer taking pictures of their food. We were offered free ice cream, and any sample of any of the dishes that came out. Lotus Thai and Sushi offer several different dishes from curry, rice, noodle and sushi. I ordered the Massaman Curry with tofu online, which made the process quick and easy. I arrived to the Lotus Thai and Sushi storefront restaurant, and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness. Everything was very neat, clean and comfortable. The woman who got my order together was very friendly and answered all my questions. From the first bite to the last, my food was hot (temperature), flavorful and delicious! I come to the restaurant for lunch 1-2 times a week , and the service is always slow. Today especially was the case. I was seated almost immediately, drink came pretty quickly, but after almost 35 minutes of waiting for my food a table that came in after me was served before me and I had to leave. This isn't the first time this has happened where my food was delivered after other table s They also prioritize DoorDash/Uber Eats orders over people sitting in the restaurant which creates a bad experience generally speaking. I would give a pass if the restaurant was super busy , but it wasn't. Given this is a continuation of prior experiences. I've decided not to return , losing a pretty regular customer who likes to support local business means when colleagues come from out of town they will lose that business as well because I won't recommend them. The lady looks like the owner(Thai) took my plate to the server and showed to chef and brought back the same plate, who does that!! taking away your eating plate. she said we minced crab meat no maa'm literally there is no crab meat!!!! she was lying... and had to pay full amount for the for carrots and egg. am sorry for posting this during holidays! 3 stars is ONLY cuz of the flavor, nothing else. I definitely don't recommend the orange chicken Overall, the flavor has been consistently good of the four dishes I've tried, however the orange chicken was incredibly dry and was comparable to microwaved leftovers. Poor Experience: Friday night, 2 hours before close and I couldn't connect with them via phone; Rang twice then silence. I then spent the time to place an order on doordash, and 2 minutes after placing the order, it was cancelled due to the restaurant "not being able to fulfill the order." Went there to order in person and they said they just "turned off" door dash for the night ... and they were taking carry out only. Just super inconvenient in every way. Got home, and the rice container was only half full, which is just odd. Very little rice. HOWEVER, the asparagus and shrimp special was very good. I have tried about 6-7 of the Thai dishes, each was excellent--lots of flavor, even when you get the dish mild. When they first opened service was slow, but they are fast now and their online ordering/pick up system is fast, easy, and affordable for downtown lunch. I only hope they add a brown rice option for their curries! read more

What a find! Walking back to the hotel in Cincinnati, we found this place right around the corner! We had a early dinner/late lunch. Pad See Ew, and Pad Thai, with an amazing papaya salad to start. Service was friendly and prompt, and the owner was there preparing sushi rolls in the front. He had a lot of pride in his place and made sure were taken care of. This place is a must! Got the Chicken Thai Spicy as an entree (medium spice) and tried the Dragon, Spider, Honey Bee, and Lotus Paradise sushi rolls and they are some of the best around.
