Kawa Revolving Sushi was such a fun experience! We were seated right away, and since the sushi is ready to go, we got to eat right away as well. Our server was very kind and helpful - she walked us through the process. There's sushi available on the revolver, but we can also order additional menu items from a screen at the table. It was great for someone like me who doesn't typically stray from my regular sushi order - it made me try different types of roles and only have a few pieces if they weren't my favorite. All the revolving plates are $3.45, so low risk if it's not your favorite. But all the rolls we tried were good! And the dessert we ordered at the end was good too. I've ate a lot of sushi in my life. I was never exposed to it until I was in my mid 20s. I have had some of the original sushi places in Seattle and been several times to Nobu. I gotta tell you I ain't ever seen anything like this before in my life. Basically, the whole place is run by robots - if you got kids, they'll think this is the coolest thing ever. Robots send you your drink. If you order a specialty items off the menu a choo-choo train shows up with it and of course, the rotating sushi bar was solid. Have I had better sushi of course but at $3.45 a plate I'm not gonna really complain that the tuna was not fatty enough or thinly sliced. I certainly will be back again. read more

This is a great little place! We were visiting from Lexington and liked it so much we went 2 nights in a row. The decor is adorable! Loved the concept for my kid. He was so enamored with it all. The robots delivering drinks, train or trucks delivering food and the converter belt oh my. This was our first time experiencing this magic. I will say the food was hit or miss. Some of it was good but some was sub par. The service from staff was very nice. I love the variety and the ease of trying so many different items, but be careful because it can add up quickly. I'm always sad about not having a revolving sushi restaurant in my own city, so I love to venture out and find one in other places! I saw Kawa on Tiktok, and was immediately drawn in by how cute it looked! This has probably been one of the best sushi train spots I've experienced based on food, efficiency and service. Everything was so easy to order on the little tablet at our table, there were tons of options, and it came out pretty quick! There was also a good variety on the belt itself. My favorite part about Kawa is how they would deliver orders from a train that would come in on the belt... And of course, the robot servers! This place is absolutely awesome! It's super modern, incredibly clean, and overall very welcoming! I was hesitant about what it would be like at first because I had never been to a revolving sushi restaurant before, but we started ordering and grabbing sushi as soon as we sat down! The staff were so friendly and brought our drinks out super fast after ordering on the screen at our table, and were quick to refill. We ordered a few appetizers as well, but we realized we could've just waited until it came around on the belt, but it was fun to see the train deliver things straight to our table! There is also a robot delivering food to tables as well. The food was fresh, delicious, and there were LOTS of options to choose from on both the belt as well as things to order. We tried all kinds of different sushi rolls and salads. I think it's a great place to come try new things to see what you like since the portions are small; you can always grab it again or pass when it comes around again. It's clear that the staff are always adding stuff to the belt so everybody gets a chance to grab what they like. I totally recommend anyone who likes sushi to give Kawa a visit. In love with this place! It's such a cool concept. My boyfriend is the most impatient person ever! This is perfect because we can get it, get seated (as long as you arrive before 6pm on weekends) and immediately chow down. It's nice because you can sample different rolls and not be stuck with one or two larger rolls . And we love finishing off our meal with the little cream puffs. We probably come here twice a month. I will say, I have been to other restaurants where the selection of sushi options was larger with more variety, but the options that kawa does make are consistently very tasty. This place is fun and different, however it is sensory overload. It's loud and a little chaotic but with a conveyor belt and robots delivering food, it's to be expected and part of it's charm. The robots delivering some of your sides is interesting and kinda cool to see. However, sometimes they got stuck passing each other and created a roadblock. The conveyor belt is always a fun touch to a sushi restaurant! My only downside with it was that some dishes were room temperature when they would have been slightly chilled if I had ordered them from the kitchen. I would have preferred my dessert and some sushi rolls slightly cooler. You do get your meal for a decent price! My friend and I were pleasantly surprised at our bill when it arrived. If you order from the menu it will arrive via train and drinks and the ramen will come by the robot. It's a neat place to eat. Service was excellent as the explained how everything works and to keep your lid for them to tally up your bill. The food is what you somewhat expect. Not a high end sushi shop but better than the Chinese buffet sushi. Items that were sashimi, the rice fell apart when dipping the fish in the soy sauce. Not a big deal but it gets a little messy and that is the 1 less star. I would go back since I cannot get what I get here without buying a roll and the variation of the different types of sushi. read more

You keep the lids to the plates so they can tally up how much your bill is at the end. She made sure to ask if it was our first time or not (which it wasn't lol), when she knew we were OK she let us be free to begin the experience! Plate after plate came by, and with each plate, our excitement grew! Almost everything I ate was so well put together and very flavorful. There were a few things I didn't enjoy: 1) The eel roll- was a bit slimy, I am a fan of eel but for some reason the texture of that one was not favorable for my liking. 2) The sesame balls- texture was spot on, but the flavor was extremely lacking. They genuinely either didn't have flavor or because I had already tasted so many bold flavors; they just failed to rise to same level. 3) The shrimp nigiri- again this was so bland and the shrimp felt a bit lacking in any form of flavor. The rice underneath was just as dry and bland as the shrimp on top. Wouldn't recommend. At some point, we noticed that the restaurant began to fill up very rapidly, which was good to see, but also noticeably difficult for the staff to keep tabs and attention on everything. Our server definitely did her best and was so gracious even with the rising numbers (cheers Callie!). We had our fun, ate our fill, and enjoyed our time! If you love new experiences and solid sushi, this worth the try. *DISCLAIMER: Don't go into the fried Oreos thinking that they will be like the fair.
