We moved into a home with an older alarm system. I called Loud Security and a couple of other companies. After getting quotes for either reusing or buying a new system, I chose loud to replace my system instead of reusing the older stuff. This company has refused to honor the verbal comiitments made by a former employee and shown very little flexibility in settling our dispute. We added a security system to our parents' home when they passed away to secure the empty home while it was cleared out. We told them up front we would NOT need it for the full term of their 3 year contract and their employee made promises about transferring the contract to our own home, where we have had Loud for 10 years. It has now bene 2 years and we contacted Loud to cancel the service on our parents' home. Employee who made the promises is gone, and since we did not get them in writing they refuse to honor her agreements made with my wife. And they have decided to play hardball and hold us to cancellation fees etc on our parents' home. We offered to simply close the account on the parents' home and continue with them on our home, but they have refused. Terrible customer service attitude! read more

The service continues to degrade with this company. At first, I would get a phone call when I made a false alarm. Then they went to sending a text. Now they don't call if the alarm is canceled within two minutes so I call them. I do not consider this very good monitoring. read more

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. A rating of 1 only because a zero was not available. We signed a contract with them for a wireless system, covering our windows and doors. This included a "ring" type doorbell. When they came to install they could not get the system to work with our internet, stating that the router was too far away from the doorbell. It is in the room next to the front door. They then advised us they would have to either rewire our home or put in motion sensors to cover the front door and the back windows and door, meaning someone would have to make entry into the home before it would trigger the alarm. Or we would have to pay additional for a booster. We paid but have yet to locate the booster. Multiple service trips as non of the equipment work continuously. The techs even admitted they didn't really know how to trouble shoot the system. Could not get a manager or anyone of authority to return my calls at all months of dealing with them. They would have one tech show up and he would not be able to fix the issues and spent most of the time on the phone with someone telling him what to "try" to get the issues resolved. Other times a tech would arrive and would tell us he was waiting on a senior tech to arrive so they could try and "figure out" a way to get the system to work. turned extremely rude and would give all types of conflicting information in the few calls we had. Stay far away. When we had to call the fire department ourselves for smoke in the house that their smoke detector should have sent an alarm. They called our emergency contact person multiple times to sell them a system, and when in the middle of the night multiple times the alarms would go off, they would call them and never us, not one call from them. We contacted them again as their system was not working and again they could not locate the issue, just advised us to contact them again if it continued to happen. We advised them at that time that we would not be paying the last 2 months of our contract and they would need to advise us where the booster that we paid for but now they were saying it was only rented was located so we could send it back to them. They could not tell us where it was located. We offered for them to send an employee to remove the booster but they have yet to do so. After multiple calls an employee finally called us to collect the money we owed them to cancel the contract and to pay for the booster equipment. We advised we could not locate any booster equipment in our home, but they could either advise where they placed it or they could send an employee to retrieve it. We were advised that was not something they could do and they did not know where in our home it was located. Now months later they are suing us for breach of contract. We will be taking this to court as we have every email and every voicemail from them concerning this system. read more

I was new to setting up our alarm system and had made the mistake of setting it off. Buyer beware.... Every month I pay this bill and count the days till the contract is over. The management could not seem to care less about retaining customers. They lock you in w contract and if you have problems they are completely against working things out. They may throw you a bone in what they call a compassion credit when things go wrong w their products but don't be fooled. This is just a way for them to make you think you are getting a break from them. You are not. They won't let you out of their contract no matter how much you don't want to do business w them. This system - the mobile app worked for some time - once it went out - there was a $90 per hour service vice rate after we had service for 3 years - on top of that - $199.00 for a replacement of hardware to upgrade so it would work - doesn't work after the service & money - run as fast as you can to ADT I have had ADT in another house for 16 years - never a problem read more

Our company got all new cameras installed and our door access updated and we are real happy with the service we have received. The salesman always responded quickly with our questions, additions or changes. The installation guys have been wonderful and finished their work quickly and took time to show us how to use everything. They were good to inform us ahead when they are scheduled to come do work. Loud installed a modern system in my newly purchased home in late 2019, and the system had MAJOR ISSUES from day 1. I actually NEVER ONCE fully activated the system in a year & 3 months due to the fact that it was constantly in FAULT mode with malfunctioning equipment and sensors. While the staff was polite to deal with, my problems were never solved. I had technician after technician come out to my home, spending hours 'repairing' the issues & promising that things would work. EVERY TIME, the system went into fault mode within 24 hours of the techs leaving. The system constantly chimes for no reason and the alarm often just GOES OFF BY ITSELF. They have never gotten it in a usable state. It's been a NIGHTMARE. Since I never used the monitoring, I requested reimbursement due to faulty installation/equipment. They refused to reimburse me and are trying to hold me to a 3 year contract, which I am trying to terminate. I was trying to use a local company to avoid these issues, and I had the opposite experience. read more

The last installation was chaotic for us and the installers installed the alarm system to the light switch that runs the light system to our attic and never told us about it. When I called to get this remedied, I gave up with the lack of actionable response from whomever I talked to. If we had known this was an issue, prior to installation, we would have tried to do a different solution. Based upon the frustration of dealing with the attic light issue, we did not realize that the third door sensor was not installed as well. At this point, I just gave up dealing with the issue. Three weeks ago, we had a sensor issue and I called in to schedule an appt and I also mentioned that the third sensor was never installed, the person whom I was speaking to indicated that I was wrong and there were only 2 door sensors in my PO and I would have to pay for a third sensor and to get it installed. At this point, after speaking to her, I pulled up the PO from the salesperson and there was, in fact, a third sensor on there on the PO and left a message thereafter, with no response. I sent an email stating my issues recently since I changed services and they would only give me $45 credit towards buying out my contract after all of this. read more

Super happy with the sales call by Sue and then installation by Brian and Bill. Sue looked at what we had, made good suggestions on a small package and got us exactly what we needed with NO sales-y pressure. Then Brian and Bill got it all installed exactly the way we wanted it, even went back and redid one thing we wanted changed. Very fast. Professional. Installed for $199 in less than four hours. We'll see if we have any problems with monitoring contracts and such, but so far so good. We are on the hook for $29/month for three years but we wanted wifi access. Maybe could have gotten a lower monthly cost, but this company stood out after reading reviews and talking to people. I like working with local companies. read more

The worst company ever. I rented a house that included loud security and had to keep service per leasing agreement. Okay no problem. Then when I decide to tell loud (tammy) to cancel my service and put back on the owners name they said cool no problem, but we need the receiver back. I don't own the house I don't know where the receiver is. Not my problem. I just rent the house. So I thought everything was okay cause I canceled and they reached out to the owner to retrieve the device. Wrong!!! Then 9 months letter I get a $500 bill from collections!! They never got the receiver. And the previous owner sold the house. How is that my problem???? I just rented. I don't even live there anymore!!!!! Terrible company!! My system has not worked properly in about three months and I have called multiple times and asked for service and I never get a service appointment followed thru with. But this morning I had to turn off my credit card due to fraud and they tried to run a charge that was declined. We had a bad break-in this spring when we were out of the country. A burglar heaved a 4 lb rock through our glass storm window and a multi-paned window in our bedroom. The rock then bounced around, hitting various walls. Our glass break sensor that was located next to the window failed to send out an alarm. The intruder felt free to roam around our master bedroom taking whatever he wanted, including precious heirlooms that can never be replaced. It was not until he left that room and proceeded down the hall that our motion detector sent out an alarm. The intruder left though the same window that he came in, along with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and cash taken from the bedroom. The burglar was safe from any detection as long as he stayed in the bedroom because of the total failure of our glass break sensor. The alarm technician sent out from Alarm Associates inspected the sensor and told us that it had not been set as sensitive as it should have been. It that is the case, why should they not be held accountable? They are the company that sold and installed the defective product. This sensor was replaced by them 7 years ago. In addition,two separate security professionals have also told us that the sensor had been placed on the wrong wall to be most effective. The response from a company that we had been doing business with for 26 years was to wash their hands of any monetary responsibility for their negligence. Instead, they said that perhaps we needed extra home owner's insurance. This locally-owned company has let us down completely!! read more

I'm incredibly proud to be a customer of LOUD Security. We have been customers of ADT for many years. Last year during Hurricane Irma our home was significantly damaged by a tree and knocked out much of the existing alarm system. While rebuilding our home we had to rent two different homes in Buckhead. The first had an existing system with LOUD Security. LOUD made the process very easy for us use the existing system and we were very pleased with the service. We did set off the alarm ourselves a few times and they were very fast calling and ensuring everything was OK. The second house we rented while rebuilding our had a system that has been managed by another large Atlanta based security company, I'll refer to them as Company A. We called Company A to turn on the service and they were very fast to send out a sales person. I was a little surprised as I was expecting an operations person given we didn't need to purchase any new equipment. After meeting with the sales rep, they indicated they would only provide service if we signed a 12-month agreement. Once again, I explained we were only planning on living in the house for 1-2 months and they still insisted on a 12-month agreement. I was very disappointed they would not allow us to simply pay for the monitoring service. The system had been working only a few weeks before and would have been very simple to turn monitoring back on. LOUD Security was happy to provide service at our second rental home with a monthly agreement. We have been very happy with LOUD Security and ultimately decided to install them in our home, the one being rebuilt, as well. LOUD Security has very professional and low-pressure sales representatives. Our sales professional Sue Durham spent time onsite at our home while it was being rebuilt and worked through a fairly complicated evaluation process. Ultimately it was recommended to install a new system given how much of the old system/wiring had been destroyed. We are very happy with the new Honeywell Lyric system installed by LOUD Security. We've also been very happy with their installation professionals and operations support. They are a first-class operation. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Loud is very difficult to deal with. I happened to move and buy a new home right before my contract ended and the company informed me that the new owner was interested in assuming my service after cancellation and I did not need to do anything further. Never received a phone call but a year later received a summons stating I owed over $800 for early termination and leased equipment fee. I remember how difficult the company was when trying to cancel. I was adamant about ending service however they stated I wasn't sure and yet I signed for the approval of the cancellation. Written communication is verifiable so how was I unsure when I signed. This has been a horrible experience and I would not recommend them as they have no consideration for their clients. I have read over several reviews that states they are sugar and honey until you decide to cancel. read more

Rip off Very disappointed in the company's ability to straighten out my bill. Loud has been billing me for cellular service that I never had. WiFi and landline only. They won't take care of it. I have contacted Loud repeatedly and explained everything and someone was supposed to call me back after they talk to their supervisor. Horrible company. When the alarm went off, the company would not call me but when I called them, they said that they called twice. No missed calls on my iPhone EVER. This resulted in CCPD being dispatched to my home for false alarms multiple times. CCPD fined me $1500 for LOUD's mess ups in 2018. When I confronted John Loud about the issue, he threatened to send a collection agency after me if I didn't continue to pay my monthly bill. All the while he and his family are buying high rise homes and scooting around Lake Lanier on the boats I paid for. John and his crew are greedy jerks and I highly recommend you go elsewhere for your home security needs. I grew tired of John's crap, paid him off, fired him and now have a new company. THANK GOD. I chose Loud in 2016 for my residential alarm services. Since then, I had problems with the equipment malfunctioning in the middle of the night. I called the service center and no one returned the call. (I fixed by looking the equipment up on line so it would not beep incessantly all night.) On the occasions where the alarm is accidentally set off, Loud never calls leaving me to worry if I would have service in a real emergency. Finally, Loud alerted me that 3G cell service would be stopped and I needed to upgrade my system. I called asking for costs to upgrade and no one bothered to send me over a new quote and contract. When I terminated service, I had occasion to speak with Loud three times. Loud never once mentioned I needed to return any equipment. However, two weeks after cancellation, I received an email demanding I return equipment or else be charged $450. In typical Loud poor customer service- Loud did not even bother in the email to include the address of where to send the equipment. I called John Loud, as the message while on hold with Loud suggests, to complain. Mr. Loud was rude and dismissive, blaming the poor customer service as my fault for not contacting him sooner. I'm writing this update, because it's very clear to me that Loud security wants to make things right with its customers. Not only did Loud Security's Marketing Director call me, but the owner himself, John Loud, called me to discuss my incident. Afterwards, the original two Loud employees whom I had the the original disagreement with, also called me. We had a very honest and frank discussion about what went wrong, but most importantly, how it was going to get fixed. Not only for me, but also for future customers. There are specific processes and procedure that Loud Security is going to implement going forward to specifically address the very issue I had. So, bottom line, if you feel your customer service experience with Loud is not at the level it should be, John Loud will LISTEN to understand; he will take compete ownership of the issue; he explain "why" it happened, and he will move forward to fix it (if it needs fixing). We were a customer of Loud Security since January 2009. They installed the system in our home as well as monitored my business and my husband's. We started having issues with a CO2 monitor beeping. After many calls they first wanted to send out a technician for $80, but after we complained they sent a SALES rep (very inexperienced) to our home who tried to sell us an updated system for a lot of money. My husband was not happy so he called Loud a few times until he was able to get John Loud and his sales manager out to look at the issues. Again, they tried to upsell us a new system for over $1,000. Our main keypad was unreadable, which they acknowledged as an issue. They wanted to replace the CO2 monitor for an additional $200!! When we inevitably tried to cancel our service they said that we had to give them 60 days notice from a renewal date we didn't even know about. Initially we did have a contract with them, but we were way past the expiration date. They told us that they automatically roll the contract over for ANOTHER YEAR if we don't cancel. No warning, no contact letting us know that our contract year is up. Shady way to do business. I told Loud I wasn't going to pay the two months of service due to the issues. I am writing to let people know about unprofessional service I have received from Loud Security System. I was a customer, as many people in my subdivision, of X Security co. Loud Security System acquired they business. I realized that even I was paying monthly service fees in time; my house was not monitored since May 2013. I have called to customer service many times to get it fixed. Representative responded to my call in a very rude tone, saying it is my fault and customer responsibility to test the system. Then my call was transferred to a technician and he tald me to pay $ 80 for fixing the problem. I pulled my an agreement and there was no indication about the charge. I contacted an owner John Loud.
