If you're a cat parent, Loudon Cat Care is the place you want to be. We've trusted them with our cats for years, and they've been consistently wonderful. The fact that they only treat cats gives us so much peace of mind--they truly understand feline behavior and needs. Our most recent visit was for simple blood work, and they made it as stress‑free as possible. They had treats ready, handled our cat gently, and had us out the door in under 20 minutes. A few months ago, one of our cats needed a few teeth removed. Loudon Cat Care took amazing care of him, and the follow‑up call afterward really showed how much they care. The exam rooms are spacious, spotless, and have big windows so our kitty can bird‑watch while we wait. Parking is plentiful and free, which is always appreciated. They also provide boarding services, although we haven't boarded our cats here. We toured the facility and were impressed by how much room and comfort the boarded cats get. I have only used them for checkups and claw trimmings, and a respiratory infection, once. But, l've been happy with their service so far. It's a calm environment for my cat (no loud barking, for instance) and he can roam around. I wish they had consistent techs though. read more

Loudoun Cat Care (LCC) has been great. We have three cats and switched our oldest to LCC this year. Our cat loved the environment, where she can be out of the cage in the room. We have been using Loudoun Cat Care for years now and they are amazing every single time. Unfortunately, I have to move states for nursing school and won't be able to stay with their practice. I took my cat in yesterday for his annual check up and they were amazing as ever. I believe Shannon was the lady that took us back and she was extremely kind, helpful, and sweet to both my cat and I. Dr. Weichmann is amazing, answers all of my questions, and handles my cat with gentle love and care. She really knows her stuff and brings a calming presence that makes vet trips much easier on my cat. As much as my cat hates the vet, he does 10x better here than any other vet we have gone to. Took my cat here twice to address urinary issues. I was displeased with both the actual visit (the vet was not helpful with the urinary issues and I was not happy with the way she physically handled my cat for a vaccination), and their record keeping/follow up customer service was terrible. In addition, the smell inside the clinic is pretty awful (cat urine); I have no doubt it contributed to my cat's agitation and stress during the visit. I am fortunate to live in an area with far better options for veterinary services and will use them for pet care going forward. read more

I brought our cat Ziggy in for his check up / vaccine and he is level eleven crazy when he goes into the vet. Loudoun Cat Care handled him with calm and kindness in spite of him climbing up the walls and fighting them at every turn. Dr Wiechmann and staff are just simply amazing. As stated in a prior review, my cat has had digestive issues since she was a kitten. Having recently moved back to NoVA, as her symptoms got worse, it was time to do something more invasive: exploratory surgery. Dr Wiechmann and I discussed my options. I ended up choosing to have her and a traveling surgeon do the surgery. It was a more affordable option and well worth the expense as we were able to get her a definitive diagnosis. Dr Wiechmann has been wonderful about calling and emailing to check on Isabella. We have tweaked her healing protocol as needed and I feel that she truly does care about my cat's well-being. Isabella has healed nicely. You can't even tell she had abdominal surgery. She has hired such a compassionate and caring staff as well. It's nice to know Isabella is in good hands when I need to go out of town and board her there. Speaking of which: their boarding facility (Whimsy) is top notch and feline-only. Each cat gets a large glass room with two levels. They watch animal planet 24-7 (which is kind of funny) and get taken out at least once a day to be played with. They have windows to look outdoors as well. Couldn't be happier. read more

I have known Dr.Weichman since I was 14 years old. That means she has been treating my animals for over 25 years. I followed her from another practice and am thrilled that she is so close to where I live now. I now only have cats which is a good thing since she is a cat only practice. Dr. Weichman's knowledge of cats is vast and I'm thankful to have had her to guide me through the many lives of my cats. I am sad to have lost some of the vet techs as some of them were simply amazing and just so kind hearted. The practice has grown which means another doctor and more staff. Hopefully, as they come on they will continue with the love and caring that the practice started with and Toed that cat greets everyone with. read more

Our cat was found to be cryptorchid (one testicle remaining) after his initial fix three years ago. This vet gave us a $2,000 quote to resolve the issue with surgery. Yep. $2,000. You read that right. Office was strange to say the least. We've been pet owners for years and the way this vet talked to us was almost insulting. We called around and spoke to other vets and mentioned this price we were quoted. They were amazed to say the least. I know we live in a rather expensive area, but this is just shameful. Those were words we felt and another vet spoke. In the end, we went with another vet, a little out of the area, with a great office, we were treated well, and at a cost of $400. If you're thinking about going to this vet, shop around. I'm glad we did. read more

We have been going to Loudoun Cat Care for three years now and couldn't be happier. I have always felt that my cat was in good hands. We have used their boarding service as well and can recommend. One time I dropped off my cat for boarding and they arranged to give him his shots, clean his ears, check his weights etc. before I picked him up the next day. Very efficient! read more

The associates at Loudoun Cat Care are not only professional, it's clear they truly love cats. I recently took my kitty in for a same-day appointment and didn't have to wait at all. (Although I did call in advance to find out about any cancellations, so he was not a true walk-in.) They were excellent with my sometimes skittish cat, and in no time, he seemed very comfortable with them. They always offer treats to their patients, although in the case of my cat he never eats them. I was actually more impressed that they didn't offer, since that meant they remembered he wouldn't accept them. The vet was even willing to answer a question that I asked about my friend's kitty, even though she had never been there. Convenient location, extended hours, and the ability to drop off your kitty for care if necessary. I highly recommend them. read more

I have been bringing my 4 cats to Loudoun Cat Care for about 4 years now and couldn't be happier that I've found them! I've always been extremely happy with the care and expertise provided. Most recently, one of my cats underwent stomach surgery, and it was a hard, month-long recovery for him. Dr. Wiechmann and the staff at LCC went above and beyond to provide him the best post-surgical care. In the weeks after his surgery, they took him under their wing, fit him in for many appointments, and called me many times to check up on him and to provide advice and care over the phone, even on Thanksgiving Day when the office was closed! He is back to his normal happy and healthy self thanks to the care provided by LCC. I never have any doubt that LCC will provide the best care for my cats. Dr. Wiechmann has the expertise to ensure your cats are happy and healthy, and will stop at nothing to make sure you are comfortable with the care being provided. I am so thankful that a client of Loudoun Cat Care recommended Dr. Krista to help with a community cat that I had been taking care of for about 15 years. Over a short period of time she developed a huge tumor on her side and was struggling to walk; she just couldn't get enough to eat and the more she ate the bigger the tumor. I called the office yesterday morning explained the situation and they graciously agreed to see the cat even though I wasn't a client. Dr. Krista and her staff were amazing. She was compassionate and kind-hearted and after an examination and talking with the Dr. Krista I thought it was best to put her down. Dr. Krista was so sweet with the cat, talked gently to her (even though she had lost her hearing many years ago) and treated her with grace and dignity. I absolutely love this vet. Fantastic professional service every time. But what I loved best was the vet who helped my autistic son with his school project. My son wanted to show his class how and why it is important to microchip your cat. Our cats where being microchipped that day and the vet very patiently described each step to my son. Who by the way got an A+ on the project. For a vet to do this to me is outstanding. Plus the care they give our 3 kitties is hands down the best. I recently adopted 3 cats from Feline Foundation of Greater Washington (another amazing group!) and one of them needed a booster. I decided to go back to Loudoun Cat Care, as that's where all of them were evaluated & vaccinated. I was BLOWN AWAY at how caring and thorough and gentle the staff is at LCC. I had many problems with local vets basically not treating my cat because he was challenging to handle. He went for years with a digestive problem and hyperthyroidism that no one diagnosed. The first appointment at Loudoun Cat Care was instantly different. Dr Weichman completed a full exam and was able to triage problems over months so he was finally eating normally and being treated with thyroid meds. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful - always so friendly, polite, and helpful when I call (which is frequently as I have four cats, one with health issues.) Dr. Wiechmann is amazing. I had an appointment at Loudoun Cat Care. I took off work an hour early to make the appointment time with our cat. I arrived a little early. People sitting in the waiting area with their pet had been booked on a different day. They had requested the day I was there, but Loudoun Cat care had booked someone else in that time slot, so the people had to wait. The vet takes an interminable amount of time for each cat, which is probably justification in her mind to over charge people, and when it was 5-10 minutes after our appointment time and she then took the mis-booked people instead of us, without even acknowledging our presence, I left, never to return. They may be good with cats, but they desperately need to learn some people skills. After all, it's the people who pay the bills. read more

I adopted a cat who became so play aggressive towards my other cat that the latter's life was a living hell. The minute Juno came into sight or hearing, Serafina would go straight for her. I got Serafina a playmate and addressed territorial issues, but she still tormented Juno, Tearfully, after many months of trying t make it work, I realized I was going to have to call the adoption a failure and return Serafina to the shelter. it broke my heart. Then the shelter people told me about Dr. Weichmann, that she was an expert at dealing with difficult behavioral issues, so I decided to talk to her before I gave up on Serafina. She gave me a plan for reintroducing the cats and changing Serafina's behavior. It took some months for the residual tension in the house to subside, but I wound up with three cats who could coexist peacefully; Serafina ignores Juno completely now. Dr. Weichmann's ability to fix an impossible situation was nothing short of amazing. She's a true miracle worker. read more
