The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. They also usually text us an update and a picture of our birds. We come back to a stack of reports. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. I highly recommend this company. 1/27/20 Update: Just used them again during a ten day trip to Hawaii. I'm pretty sure our birds are in love with Alex, who came for most oF the visits. Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). It was easy to schedule a "meet and greet" with Amy and Andrew, who are visiting our two dogs (a quiet 9-year old and a 5-year old with attitude; both sighthounds) about 3 times a week. Since then Amy and Andrew have taken care of our pups for the past month or so. They are both responsible and have the kind of calm personality that all dogs feel comfortable being around. They've followed all our instructions, provided very detailed updates and pictures, and taken good care of our doggies. So far I am very pleased with the service. We love our dogs like children and feel good about entrusting Amy and Andrew with their care.

We've been to many pet ERs/urgent cares in the 8 years we've lived in NoVa and this the only hospital where we spoke to a doctor within a few minutes of walking in the door. They were thorough, took time to explain our treatment/testing options and answer questions, and made us feel like Norman's care mattered even when more severe emergency cases came in. At VEG, you can see everything, stay with your pet, watch their treatment, and staff are readily available to talk to or answer questions. That alone eased so much anxiety. Kenzie, one of the nurses that was assigned to Norman, was so kind. It was clear that everyone in the room cared about making these animals feel comfortable. More than one nurse came over to introduce themselves when we were preparing to leave Norman overnight. They offered us a room where we could stay with him if we wanted, and even asked what he liked to watch on TV to create a comfortable environment for him after we let them know he suffers from separation anxiety. The discharge and follow-up notes were also incredibly detailed, which made following up with our primary vet so much easier. No one ever wants to bring their animal to an ER, but this is now the only place we will go when we need urgent medical care. This urgent care for pets is so helpful and greatly reduced our wait time from many hours + overnight monitoring to less than an hour with great care and all of our questions answered. They sent us with clear discharge instructions on how to follow up with our primary vet. well, we hope we aren't back frequently, we look forward to using them for future visits.

Every booking, every pet, every time: more signatures and "agreements" than a mortgage closing. Somewhere there's a lawyer who's never met a dog and decided the real threat to this business is the guy who's paid them loyally for three years. You carefully fill out the entire grooming form online, pick every option -- then show up and they shove a paper copy across the counter to sign the exact same thing again. And after all that paperwork, they still claim they don't have the phone number they've had on file for three years and called me on before. Let's put this in perspective. I can order dinner to my door in two taps -- Reorder, Apple Pay, done. A stranger drives hot food across town on the strength of my thumbprint. But dropping off dogs these people have known for three years apparently requires a signing ceremony and a fresh liability waiver every single visit. In 2026, that's not caution. That's a business that's forgotten how to trust its own customers. And then there's the membership -- the crown jewel of contempt. They took a system that worked and actively torched it. Gone are the daycare credit packs: fair, flexible, buy-what-you-need, the way a business treats people it respects. In their place, a pricier monthly "membership" that auto-drafts your card whether your dog walks through the door or not, with no rollover for the days you paid for and never used. Read that again: you pay, they keep it, your dog gets nothing, and they call it a perk. It's not a membership -- it's a standing withdrawal from your bank account with a bow on it. It punishes the exact people who kept this place in business: the regulars whose lives don't run on a fixed weekly schedule. Some months my dogs come once, some months five times, because that's how actual life works -- and this program is built to make sure I lose either way. It doesn't serve pets. It doesn't serve owners. It serves a spreadsheet, and it treats every loyal customer as a recurring charge to be maximized rather than a person to be valued. It is, top to bottom, the most openly hostile "loyalty" scheme I've ever been asked to fund. When customers spend more time signing forms and fighting your billing than petting their dogs, you're not a pet resort -- you're a law firm with a kennel attached. Take your pets somewhere that still remembers what the word "customer" means.

They were very prompt, reliable and efficient in setting up a consult so the manager could personally see my home and where everything for my fur babies is kept. I was able to meet the sitter in advance and received an update from her after each visit with pictures which made my trip much more relaxing. Woofie's does an amazing job with our pups! We frequently go out of town and love knowing that we have a trusted company to take care of our fur babies. They have caring compassionate sitters who I feel truly love our animals and give them high quality care when we are out of town. On days when we work late we use them for mid day potty breaks and the convenience is wonderful! They also offer mobile grooming so we can work with a single company who knows our dogs. read more

I called Fur Factory and mentioned that I just need a cut as I typically bathe my dog and comb her out right before bringing her in. She is tiny and doesn't do well with industrial size blow dryers. I let her know that I prefer to come first thing in the day if possible and wait for her as opposed to crating her. This has never been a problem with any groomer (they call it a straight-through) and I did this with my last dog over the course of 15 years (sadly, that groomer retired). At first she said I could bring her in first or last thing in the day and I said sure, I'd be glad to do that. Then all of the sudden, she did an about face and turned me away and said her grooming facility would not be a good environment for my dog because they are so busy and there is always too much going on lately. She said her groomer has too much on her plate or something to that effect and then discussed her own health issues, which I tried to sympathize with but she kept talking over me. I tried to explain that my dog loves people and she would not be a problem, but the woman kept talking so fast and continued talking over me. As I was trying to get a word in and let her know how she was coming across, she just hung up on me. I feel for anyone with a medical condition however I have never been treated so rudely by what is supposed to be a professional business. No potential customer deserves that. My dog is a very sweet small dog who loves people so I don't understand the immediate judgement from someone who doesn't even know my dog. It made me feel just awful. Based on the conversation first thing in the morning that left me feeling disrespected, unheard, dismayed, and disheartened, and the judgement she made on my sweet little girl, I would not recommend them at all. It was such an awful experience and left me quite unnerved. I've never encountered anything like it. Something appears to be going on there. They may have been good at one point but to me it now seems like they have too much going and do not care about getting new customers, treating people with respect, and in fact turn them away.
