When my husband called the office to understand how this was missed, the receptionist told him that Dr. Singh "doesn't check ears" at a routine wellness exam -- and that if we were unhappy, we were welcome to find another vet. So, we will be doing exactly that. The missed diagnosis was concerning enough. The dismissive response made it an easy decision.

They do not run or charge for unnecessary tests or treatments, focusing specifically on the animal and their needs. My dog also ended up with pancreatitis right before I was going out of town and Dr Jones was committed to caring for her, communicating with both me and my dog sitter, and reached out to support with the issue during closed office hours on weekends to make sure my baby was able to receive care. Dr. Fernandez sat there and cried with us, you cannot imagine how connected I felt to them during such a tough time. This was our first time going through this, and I am actually crying writing this six months later because I am reliving the moment. But Dr. Fernandez gave us comfort and peace of mind when we needed it most. We weren't rushed at all; instead, we were encouraged to stay with him as long as we needed. It was the saddest day of my life, and it meant everything to not feel pressured to leave before I was ready. They even sent us a beautiful gift afterward, which brought us to tears all over again. It was a wonderful gesture. If we ever welcome another four-legged child into our lives, this is exactly where we will bring him. I brought her here for what was supposed to be a routine cystotomy performed by Dr. Rice. Less than 24 hours after surgery, Jesse was not recovering normally, so we brought her back. Dr. Stewart examined her and attributed her condition to something unrelated to the surgery. We were reassured of that and sent home. I personally informed Dr. Rice that Jesse was not doing well and was getting worse. Despite being informed about his postoperative patient's condition, he did not personally examine or reassess her, nor did we see meaningful follow-up or urgency regarding her care. Jesse continued to deteriorate, and we returned again the following day. This time Dr McKinnon kept her for three hours while running diagnostics. We were then told that if we did not take her to the ER to get her antibiotics and IV fluids, she might not survive until the next morning. We were still told her condition was unrelated to the surgery. Yet during the approximately three hours my dog was kept at the clinic, neither IV fluids nor antibiotics were administered. In an already critical situation, those three hours were lost, and I will always wonder whether earlier treatment could have changed the outcome. We went to the ER immediately. Within approximately 30 minutes, the ER team identified complications related to her recent surgery. Tragically, it was too late. I spent the entire night at the ER trying to save my baby, but I lost her. Everything I have described is documented in the medical records from the clinic and the ER. I am writing this to warn other pet owners. All I experienced in this clinic was the lack of urgency, care, and accountability. Jesse deserved better. Our family deserved better.
