I am no longer afraid to go to the Dentist. Actually, I want to go to the Dentist, or at least to Loudoun Smile Center. I had my first dental appointment in probably 4 years (bad on me) after a family member referred me here. From the moment in walk in you feel comfortable and at peace. You are warmly welcomed, offered water, and a seat in a comfortable well-lit waiting area. Paper work is completely done in advance on-line, so that's all out of the way, they have all the information they need to get started. I was lucky enough to get Elizabeth as my hygienist, and I could not had been more pleased. She kept me informed with everything that was going to happen, had a great sense of humor, and incredible medical skills. The equipment is all new technology, and I can honestly say pain-free! I do need additional work since it's been awhile, but I'm excited to go back and continue this journey to healthier, whiter teeth. Helen, their Insurance Guru, will walk you through the options, explain what is paid for by insurance, what is not, really on top of her game. I moved out of Virginia in 2022 and just received my first and only contact from their billing department in 2026 demanding $59 for a claim they say wasn't covered by insurance four years ago. No email, no phone call, no letter. Nothing for four years. The representative admitted that internal billing department changes and operational issues were the reason it took them this long to reach out. Their own staff confirmed the delay was entirely on their end, yet they still expected me to pay without question. This is not how a patient-centered practice operates. If you value professional, organized, and respectful patient care, look elsewhere. read more

Loved my dental visit and cavity fillings! Which is kind of silly to say, but they truly do take great care of you. They are very informative and help you problem solve any dental issues. When I had to get fillings I was nervous because at my last dentist I would feel pain and it would take so long. But here? Had a mixed experience here in spring 2024. Made an appointment for a specific issue, went in, and they spent a lot of time xraying, scanning, evaluating, etc. They found stuff that needed to be worked on, which was good, but then said they couldn't work on the specific issue I'd come in for in that visit, and we had to do it a different time. Also, the visit took a really long time, approx an hour and 45 minutes, and thats with having no dental work done at all. If a patient makes an appointment specifically for X issue, then I think they should be certain to address that issue in that visit. read more

Dentist appointments are typically one I do not dread, however, since I started attending Loudoun Smile Center that quickly changed. I have had nothing but trouble since my first appointment and I have since requested my medical records so I can go ANYWHERE else for my care. During my cleaning, they used the ultrasonic process which I have never encountered before, was not provided information about, and caused pain throughout my visit. When I notified them of this, they said that I could opt out of it next time if it was that uncomfortable since it isn't necessary for a routine exam. Why did we do it without even discussing it then? I go to the dentist 2x each year and have never had such a painful or expensive visit. I know that they have "state-of-the-art technology" available, but wow. Price gouging is clear here, and boy do they try to push Botox on you when possible. Silly me, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went for another appointment to address a couple of cavities. The local numbing placed by the dental assistant was in the wrong area so I felt each needle Dr. Bachour injected into my cheek as well as the numbing solution being pushed through with each sharp pinch and stream flowing in. During the cavity filling, the dental assistant was DOZING OFF multiple times, so it's no wonder the topical numbing wasn't placed correctly. I was jumping out my chair during the filling since Dr. Bachour told me I didn't need as much numbing on the other side of my mouth so she could avoid having both sides too numb. I have an extremely high pain tolerance but when I tell you I was sweating and crawling out of the chair, I am not exaggerating. Now for their sleep apnea services...Although they were quick to accept me as a patient coming in with a sleep apnea dental appliance made at another dentist office, it is clear they had no idea how to work with mine and decided to try to fake their way through it. As an office who prides itself on being a "partner in health" and identify the mouth as a "gateway to a healthy body," they didn't prioritize treating my sleep apnea efficiently considering the length of time this issue went on for and the stress caused. After authorizing payment for a specific number of rubber bands for my appliance, I was given some over 2 weeks late from the initial pickup date and was given less than half of the bands I had paid for. I was given the runaround about who to talk to, waited for calls back, was told each time I called that the person I needed either wasn't available, left on an emergency, wasn't working, was out sick, etc. I can't even count how many excuses I was fed in these 6 weeks. Over 6 weeks from the initial ordering date, I'm finally able to speak to the office manager after asking for the highest person at the office since I was getting nowhere with the other staff. She owns the mistake that the office told me I was getting more pairs than they should have but oh well, so sorry, that's just how it goes! It took me 10+ minutes on the phone with her to tell her why I viewed this as poor customer service since I paid for a specific number of items and they were not fixing their mistake. I get it, accidents happen, but to not rectify that as a business shows their greed for every last penny. This should not have been an issue for me to argue. By the end of the call, we were both frustrated so she agreed to do a partial refund (the refund was processed, not received, 10 days later than I was told it would be). This month+ long process was only dealt with by the office staff. Dr. Bachour NEVER addressed these issues with me. I had to ask to speak to anyone else other than Shreta who was almost always the one call me since she never had any information other than telling me she would find out or ask someone else (rarely giving me a solution after or even remembering we spoke). To anyone considering choosing Loudoun Smile Center, take my advice and RUN. read more

I went in for a cleaning and left 2 1/2 hours later and a suggestion of thousands of dollars worth of work when my last cleaning was a year ago and there were no issues at all. It's hard for me to imagine that so many problems could've happened in one year. They tried to upsell me on several things down to a $30 mouthwash at checkout. My husband went the next day and they refused to give him a cleaning that was included on insurance and only said they would give him a deep cleaning for $500 or $600 after him being there for almost an hour and a half. Just at the top, I will say that this is truly a wonderful dentistry, thanks to the dentists and hygienists they have on staff. The medical staff they have on hand are very kind, talented, and really do care for their clients. The environment is welcoming, and they do what they can to help you out. That being said, I had a bad experience with the people who help you with making your payments for the care that you receive. This is just my experience, but I imagine others may know what I'm talking about: They work through a credit card company known as Care Credit. Now, I'm sure this is a ubiquitous company among medical people, but for me, I had never heard of it. As I was trying to pay for the services I received, and to pay for future ones I had scheduled, this credit card was heavily pushed onto me. I made it very clear that I didn't want the card, but the person signing me up was nice and obviously in heavy support of me getting the card. So I went through a few of the motions with this employee, and at the end, I felt that what I had communicated was this: I did not want a credit card today, but I may sign up for it down the road. (I had no intention of signing up for it later, I just wanted to reflect the politeness that the employee showed me.) However, as I came back from vacation, I got a letter in the mail that I was now signed up for that very same credit card, at a complete shock to me. I tried calling Loudoun Smile Center to get the matter resolved, and they couldn't do anything for me. (At one point they said they would call me back, but after waiting an hour and a half for them to "check on things" I had to call them instead. The matter didn't end until the next day.) I was offered a very small discount on some future appointments, but it pales in comparison to the hit on my credit I will surely have thanks to this blunder. So this is a warning to those out there who are polite and maybe don't have the best credit: they'll push Care Credit on you. And even if you don't want it, you might just get it anyway. read more

Without a doubt the worst dental experience I have ever had. They get you into a vulnerable position and then use predatory fear tactics to upsell you on things you don't need. I went in to establish as a new patient and get a routine dental cleaning. I explained that I sometimes have pain after a cleaning so I was interested in numbing the area with a topical anesthetic, like Benzocaine. Once I was reclined and stuck in the chair, they injected me with 5 or 6 numbing shots like are typically used for cavities. I've never had numbing for a cleaning before so while I thought that seemed excessive, I assumed it was standard procedure. My entire face went numb and they went to work. Within 10 minutes my fitness tracker was buzzing because my heart rate had skyrocketed to over 150 beats per minute and I began to panic. I said I was having a panic attack and they stopped the procedure. Their response, "Oh that's normal with the numbing agent." There was no forewarning whatsoever of the side effects I may have experienced. It took about twenty minutes for my heart rate to return to normal, during which time they talked to me about my overbite and severe jaw clenching/teeth grinding. I explained that I'd previously had a night guard and wanted to get another one, but they said first I needed to have at least 6 crowns put in because my teeth were surely about to crack any day now and it's pointless to fit a night guard when the shape of my teeth will be changing. While I was still in the midst of a panic attack they brought me paperwork with a quote for the crowns, somewhere in the ballpark of $3000. They were ready to get started immediately since I was already numb and I said I needed to wait. They cautioned that the longer I wait the stronger the likelihood that something will go catastrophically wrong with my teeth. Classic business bullying tactics - create a sense of false urgency and foster an atmosphere of fear and anxiety that if the customer doesn't buy right now they're going to suffer. They also took this time to strongly suggest orthodontia. My last dental visit to my previous dentist was less than a year ago, during which time the topic of cracked teeth, crowns, overbites, and orthodontia was never mentioned. In fact I've been told by all previous dentists that I have beautiful teeth and they're often shocked to hear that I never had orthodontia as a child. So imagine my surprise that in the span of 9 months my mouth has gone to the brink of disaster. But how fortunate am I that Loudoun Smile Center is here to solve the problem - the problem that only just now seemed to have come into existence. Loudoun Smile Center made me feel like my teeth were about to crack and fall out of my mouth at any minute, and the only possible way to remedy that was to spend thousands of dollars on services they'll so graciously provide. I wound up walking out of that appointment with marginally cleaner teeth, a goody bag filled with a magnet and a defective ice pack, and a bill for almost $700 after insurance. For a teeth cleaning. Truly one of the most appalling medical experiences I've ever had, and the only thing I can think justifies these rave reviews is that fact that they peddle seemingly Bentley level dental services to Cashburn locals who literally have cash to burn. read more

I have been to Loudoun Smile Center about 4 times in the last week and a half for dental work. I used to hate going to the dentist as a child and even into my early 20's. It wasn't until I found Loudoun Smile Center that I actually enjoy going to the dentist. I always get greeted by my first name and with laughs and smiles and short talk about the week and weekends. I love catching up the the ladies at the front desk and how accommodating they always are for me. When I'm called back to the dental area, I always hear laugher, music and good vibes. I now see Dr. Mohseni. and I absolutely love her! Extremely friendly, funny and always have a good time with her. While I've only had her a few times, I feel like I've had her as my dentist for years! I also have had a great time and great laughs with all the dental hygienists who have also helped out. I use to go to this dental office when Dr. Armentrout was there. After she left I went and was told I had to do 3 very expensive procedures. But they told me no rush to get them done. I decided since Dr. A was no longer there that I would find a dentist closer to home. I went to about 4 different dentists in a 2 year time period. No one mentioned any work. I had not found anyone I liked, so I went back to One Loudoun, I figured, it's just a cleaning and actually one of their hygenists are amazing. After my cleaning I was told I had all this work to do. I had completely forgotten about it. So, when I went back(at the end of 2021) I was told by Dr. Bindi Patel, once more that I had a bunch of work($2560.30) to do and I should get it done. I asked them why out of the last 4 different dentists that I went to, how come no one else mentioned this work???? I didn't want to write this review until I went to my next 6 month cleaning and had a different dentist give me his opinion. Anyway, this dentist told me I didn't need any work. If you are told you need to get work done I would get another opinion. read more

So unprofessional! They do not follow safe practices! I applied for front desk and they made me work in the back knowing I am NOT X-ray certified and I do not have any of the shots necessary to be back there. I got stuck with a needle that was used in a patients mouth (when this happens you have to go get tested right away at a clinic) and was told by Katherine (office manager) that they would be responsible for any financials that had to do with this case. I got a call from Patient First on Monday 12/27/2021 letting me know that Loudoun Smile Center has NOT been cooperating with them to get the claim paid and that it is my responsibility to pay in full. I contacted the office immediately they let me know Katherine was out for lunch and that she would call me back. It is now Wednesday 12/29/2021and still no call from Katherine. Dr.Bachour did my root canal like 3 years ago when she was working in Mclean and she charged me for alot of money (more than $2000) and I even got another bill after couple of weeks because they found out that my insurance is not covering those fees!!!! So I ended up paying around $2600 out of my own pocket but back then I was okay with that because I felt that I have the best dentist in the world ,she was explaning everything for me ,she looks good,have a nice smile and she has some good reviews on yelp!!!! The pain that I had was gone for awhile but come back again and I handled it with Advil for couple of months until 2 weeks ago when I had a severe pain in the same area that I had my root canal done so I went to a new dentist and he told me that I have to do the Root canal again because it was done incorrectly. I was surprised when he said that so I went to another dentist to confirm if that is correct and she confirmed it and told me to do it ASAP. Based on my own experience and on what the 2 new dentists told me I guess Dr.Bachour needs to practice more and more before she opens her own center. read more

I had an emergency appointment with Dr.Bachour for work that was overdue on a missing filling. It turned out I needed a root canal and the Dentist and staff were so accommodating, I never felt more relieved than to actually have a root canal done. The moment Dr.Bachour went to work on my tooth, I knew I was in good hands and I actually left happier than when I went in. I've had experiences in the past that have traumatized me and it was such a relief to have that fear taken away. That says a lot. Unfortunately I did not have a pleasant experience with Loudoun Smile Center. On October 30th, I had two fillings done and one fell after 45 days of the treatment. When I called to schedule a visit to get it fixed, they told me that I have to pay an office visit so they can take a look at it and let me know what needs to be done. Simply put, they wanted to charge me again for a failed treatment that they have provided. If the filling fell after 6 months or so I can understand the need for a service charge but 45 days? Really? So no warranty at all! Filling could fall the next day and would not matter to them. This was my first time coming to this practice. I had a consultation over video chat because of covid with Dr. Bachour for Invisalign and we spoke about me being tongue tied and she told me she could release it, I wasn't aware that they could do that since my regular dentist never recommend it and my insurance would cover the procedure. Once I went in for my first visit the front desk and Suzie were great with helping me with all my insurance and payments for Invisalign. Stephanie was super sweet while getting me all set so I can get started with Invisalign and do everything that was needed for it. Once it was time for my frenulectomy to release my tongue tie I was pretty nervous by Stephanie and Dr Bachour made me feel very comfortable and it was painless and I can't wait to go back for my Invisalign. I'll probably be changing my dentist even though this one is further they had awesome customer service :) read more

I walked out of here with an uneasy feeling and uneven rough surfaces on my teeth but the hygienist and Doctor assured me that it is normal after a thorough cleaning. 2 months later I had to go to a different dentist to fix this. The hygienists seem really & tend to um along with the music instead of focusing on the job at hand. Also, they kept dropping various tools (dental picks. Scalpels etc) on the floor. Amazing! Dr. Armentrout and the entire staff are always professional and friendly and always go above and beyond to exceed expectations. We have been a patient of Dr. Armentrout for years and even though we are considering relocating out of the area, we will come back for our appointments with "our" dentist! We never feel rushed. The evaluations are always thorough. The doctor and the staff are always quick to explain and answer questions and we have always gotten quick responses to calls regarding concerns. The initial exam was most thorough of any I have ever had. The office is bright and modern. That being said, a curtain that gives a patient some privacy during the cleaning would be welcome since personal information is easily heard and all patients can be seen. The physical setup works well for kids but not adults. Everyone smiled both physically and in their speech. Dentist was practical and professional in her approach.
