We just stayed at the Stone Manor Inn ("SMI") this past weekend and had a lovely time. We were in…read moretown for a family reunion and hosted a dinner party at SMI one evening that was among the highlights of the family weekend. Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

After several calls to other B&Bs we stumbled upon stone gables and after calling their reception we were routed to Travis, the inn keeper. He service alone deserve 6 stars He's attentive, but not overbearing. Informative and kind and knowledgeable about the Leesburg area (he recommended us an amazing dinner place when we arrived). Leslie and Wayne were so hospitable and friendly, we enjoyed talking to them and felt very taken care of. The b&b itself is such a neat building - loved the woodwork and stone and enjoyed looking at all of the decor in the different rooms. They had water and snacks all over, including s'mores kits you can use at one of 2 fire pits. We stayed in the Leesburg suite, which was really spacious with a big, modern bathroom and an insanely comfortable king sized bed. Breakfast was between 8-9:30 and was so tasty. I loved having a choice of my main course and we were nice and full after. I definitely want to come back in the summer, especially to take advantage of the awesome pool!

Oh where to start .....i have so many things to say ..let me start off with how beautiful this venue is the rolling hills... beautiful views..lies..attitude along with the creepy stocker vibes.. Make sure this is the place for best day of your life .. by being told what you want your wedding to be and what it should look like.be treated like your not good enough and looked down apon bc you like to do DIY..do everything your self and be told thats not the right way even tho help wasnt given.. you can have your guests walk up a gravel uneven driveway in heels and dresses, freshly cut grass, law mowers and cords laying around are the main attraction as guests arrive.. Warm welcomes are a thing of the past with this venue.. You can Carrying all your decorations, food and dresses up the driveway yourself bc why on earth should someone move the truck blocking the path ....You can and will be charged more then what were told to you in your contract bc of mistakes that where not your fault. tons of emails...And last but not at all least being told that you are a nasty person and that are behavior was that of a bridezlila..we should have been so grateful for all that was done for us so we were told multiple times.. So if you love the idea of having your own one of a kind Nightmare please choose Blue Hills Farm B&B

My mother face-timed me walking through and I knew right away that this is where I needed to have our wedding. Shirley and Waldo were the absolute best hosts and the biggest help throughout the entire process. When I finally was able to visit the venue (4 days before the wedding day) my breath was taken away once again and I knew I made the right choice. I knew I had to have my wedding back home in VA where you have the mountains and natural background available. Blue Hill Farm gives you the stunning 360 view a fun and easy flowing wedding. The inside of the house where we all got ready is just perfect. The boys have their area downstairs which is ultimately where the boys watched our Alma Mater's Foot-ball game before the big day. The girls have a stunning bathroom to get ready in along with elegant bedrooms which were stunning for photos and more than enough room to get ready in. For the bride its perfect, you are able to see what all is going on. I did not have a wedding planner so seeing my family and friends help set things up throughout the day was very helpful. The flow of the wedding is so easy with the way their land is set up. People don't have to walk far or back and forth with whatever way you decide to have your special day set up. I cannot say enough good things about Blue Hill Farm, The hosts, the view and the atmosphere cannot be matched. I would not change anything about the venue and the help that you get with Shirley and Waldo is unmatchable. HUGE THANK YOU!!

Well, you're going to get it here, along with a complimentary bottle of wine and a house that is completely renovated and beautiful. Let me first state that we were the only ones booked for the weekend, so we basically had the run of the whole house. If you have a group totally three couples (or three rooms' worth), this house is ideal, and so reasonably priced. The pick up and drop off of the keys is relatively simple. We were also given directions and info packets of attractions in an envelope upon our arrival. The Mews is situated well off of the beaten path, and there are a chicken coop, goats, and pony within a stone's throw. Bring ear plugs. There is also a rooster. LOL. It's air-conditioned and shaded, and there are paths nearby for hiking. The bed was a new foam mattress and SO comfortable. Body pillows and comfy sheets...I could go on, but when we were supposed to be up and moving, we were still snug as a bug. I felt so appreciated as a customer while I was here. I can't recommend this place enough.

They are in the process of fully opening so the only room available for rent is called the Eagles Nest. It was a beautiful master suite with gigantic bathroom and a balcony overlooking the wooded property with all the amenities (including dog bowls and leashes!). We were greeted with a bottle of wine from local vineyard, Breaux, and a nice note from Gail, one of the managers. We were able to check in early, throw on some hiking clothes and hit up Ravens Rock for the afternoon before cleaning up and heading to dinner at Magnolia's at the Mill, a great restaurant located in the darling town of Purcellville, only a few minutes from the Inn. The best part of the trip were moments on the balcony, taking in nature's beauty and sipping wine. The next day we enjoyed our continental breakfast on the balcony and then picked up pumpkins nearby before going to the wineries. We literally didn't see a soul when we where there, even though an innkeeper lives on site, which was exactly what we wanted. For people looking to get away from it all, especially for those looking to escape DC, this is the place. I believe they are in the process of completely opening, so they had only one room available for rent. There will be two more available soon.

On their website, it clearly stated we can use the back deck and sun room. Apparently not. My Father went out on the deck to call someone (there's a camera out there) and later that day the owner blew up at his face saying it was off limits and saying we disrespected her house. We both said that there was NO NOTICE saying we CANNOT GO OUTSIDE. She stated that the beware of dog sign was enough. We both told her no that means beware of dog. She was extremely rude and said she was going to report us (to whom may I ask). There was no breakfast serve. When my Uncle came She was on him about parking. He parked in front of the bushes, and no sign saying no parking. I believe she does this to scam for money. We both did get our money as she did kick us out.

My family and I had rented an AirBNB for this weekend in Purcellville, but when we arrived we found…read morethat it had a rodent issue, and we have a toddler and an infant so we needed to find a new place to stay in a pinch. A quick internet search led us to the Purcellville home. Because it was so last minute, my wife called to confirm that they have availability, and notified them that we have an infant and a toddler with us. The host said they had availability and that the children were no problem. Although it does not say on their website, AFTER booking and paying my wife received the house rules and noticed that it said no children under 7, but the host already said it was ok so we arrived at the home. Starting as soon as we arrived, the host was very unwelcoming and cold. We noticed the house had a large backyard so we asked if the kids could play outside, and she said no, because they have dogs. We had booked the orchard suite which is advertised as a private 3 bedroom suite, but it turns out it's just three disconnected rooms and a sitting area with no separation or privacy from the public areas; no door, no private bathroom. We asked if there were any other guests staying at the house that weekend and she said no, so we thought it was no big deal. We decided to have some snacks in the common dining room, but the host walked in and told us that we needed to stay in the suite since the dining room is not included in our rental. This seemed ridiculous as it is a common space. It seemed like she just didn't want to be bothered by our presence. We later went to eat dinner once again in the dining room since there isn't a great place to sit down and eat in the "suite", however the host was sitting in the corner silently the entire time while we ate which was very uncomfortable. The dogs that the host mentioned earlier were barking in the late evening which kept waking up my children. Things took a significant turn for the worse the next morning however. First of all, while playing with my kids in one of the bedrooms, I spotted an American dog tick on my hand. I had not gotten this outside, as I had barely even been outside in the days before other than trips to and from the car, and the tick was not on me when I woke up. We also noticed that there were a bunch of dead bugs in the corners of all the rooms, which made it seem like the place hadn't had a deep clean for a while. We saw the house had quiet hours from 10pm to 8am and the kids were up early, so to be respectful we decided to go out for breakfast. The host had also told us previously that all they had for breakfast was yogurt anyway, which is unimpressive for a bed and breakfast. Upon returning from breakfast, my wife received a nasty text from the host saying that we need to "supervise our children" and that there can be no jumping, running, or screaming, and that we can let them outside to run around. Our children are very well behaved and we never left their side for a second. They were not jumping, running, or screaming. They were simply being kids and playing normally. My wife responded simply saying that we left the house early to respect the house quiet hours, and the host responded with another nasty text saying to supervise our children and respect the house policy. Note once again that we were the only guests in the house. At that point we decided we were not comfortable staying a second night with the way the host was acting toward us. We booked a hotel and I called the host saying that I felt like she wanted us out, so let's make it amicable and refund the second night and we'll be out of her hair. She refused, saying that there's no refunds and that I need to have common sense and supervise my children better once again. The conversation got nasty and then ended unresolved. My wife sent another text trying to calmly explain our feelings on the situation and the host never responded. Overall, this was probably the worst experience I've ever had at a vacation rental, BNB, or hotel. Avoid at all costs.
